Delphi Root ?

Andrew walked down through the grounds thinking about what he would do next after the climax in his book. Should I send Eli to prison or help him escape? he thought. A few other thoughts were revolving around his head. One being the upcoming wedding, the second was about Adira and his new secret relationship. He needed some time of peace. For the first time he wished for a sibling with whom he would share his worries. He had best friends but he couldn't share thoughts about Adira with Adira herself.

His feet took him towards the forest. Not bothering about his role as a prefect he walked through the trees stepping the dry leaves on the damp forest floor. So many things had changed this year, he wasn't even sure if he could count them in the first place but the best of all was his new attitude that he had adopted from his fellow Slytherins having finally understood the reason of being sorted in the house and its importance. To bring his life to a perfect balance he had to change himself from the friendly Slytherin and be more of the powerful kind, that was what Arthimacy had been indicating from all this time.

Zazuka was taking her chances with the forest now that she was within the protective bubble of the Lotus potion. There was a problem though. The ingredient that allowed the potion to work was expensive and Zazuka was starting to find out how much of dent it was making in the little money she had. She could not go to Uncle Mortimer or Aunt Alex for help because they would ask what the money was for. She could not go to Jon either because after his last letter it was clear to Zazuka that while she could ask for eclipsed lotus petals she could not ask for Delphi without having him look it up.

He would find out what she was doing then. Zazuka’s potion was highly toxic to anyone that took more than the recommended amount. There was a chanced that Jon would even think that she was planning to poison someone. One thing that would really hurt her was to lose the trust of someone like Jon. Zazuka would never hurt anyone, this was one of the reasons that she was taking the potion in the first place. If she didn’t see it then Zazuka would have more time to do something about it.

The thought had crossed her mind to replace Brian’s bird with one that looked similar but would not fight him as often. It would also not be the bird that would lead him… She didn’t even want to think about that one. Zazuka had started to retain more and more of her visions before blocking them off with Lotus potion. There where things about them that would just kill her from the inside out. As she made her way out of the forest with a letter from Gringots in her hand she spotted her soon to be cousin. “Hey there you.” She said with a beaming smile on her face. There was no reason for Andrew to know about what she was going through.

Andrew was walking through the forest exploring the different species of plants. Hearing a familiar voice greet him, he turned to see the speaker. It was Zazuka, her new cousin. Andrew gave her a smile and spoke in his new natural icy tone "Hey yourself" His eyes scanned her outfit, it was different unlike what others put on. Then again he always knew Zuka had a different personality and her outfit just matched her personality. The intermingling of so many different thoughts in her head was reflected by her clothes.

Waiting rooted on his spot for Zuka to join him on his walk he asked "What brings you here?"

The carved flowers on wooden heels seemed some what alive as Zazuka made her way towards Andrew. "Thinking, things are not going as well as I hoped." She said with a sigh. Zazuka tucked the letter in her bag so Andrew would not know exsactly how wrong things where going. There was nothing Zazuka liked more than to see others happy. For that reason she never told anyone what was wrong so they would not worry about her. "Youv'e lost a bit of your warmth my cousin." She said touching his cheek. It wasn't a phisical thing but Zazuka was trying to see if even under Delphi she could pick up on things that where right there.

Andrew heard Zazuka's explanation to being in the forest, it was a reasonable one. He caught her sigh and pondered over it for a moment but letting it go he asked "Anything I can do?" He would love to be of some use to Zazuka, help her in anything she needed. "You don't have to tell me, just say what you need" he offered her as he begun walking his hands tucked into his pockets.

"Things have to change with time" he replied when Zazuka touched his cheeks and commented on Andrew losing his warmth. Of course Andrew knew what Zuka meant however he wouldn't explain it to her. Everyone had their own matters and they would not like others interfering he knew it was same for Zazuka and thus he considered that it would be better if they stuck to their own things.

Zazuka could see that there was darkness clawing it's way up from the inside out but she couldn't tell where it came from. She didn't know if she should tell someone that cared for him. Then again most of his friends where Slytherin. Zazuka decided to let it go. "Anything?" She asked. She thought of the letter in her pocket. She needed the money in her account not only to support herself but her little sister as well.

Zazuka did need something else too. "Have you ever heard of a root called Delphi?" She asked an almost hopeful look in her eyes. She felt bad asking him for this but there was no other choice. She needed it to keep the visions way. She was starting to go through the potion a little faster now that her system required two drops a day instead of one.

Andrew could figure out that something fishy was going on especially when someone good like Zuka would have a secret and be tensed. "Anything" he said with a smile. He would surely do anything to cheer her up and aid her in whatever it was that she required. He wondered if she would be confiding in him whatever it was that troubled her.

"I'm afraid I don't know about it" he told her when he was asked about Delphi root. He wasn't a Ravenclaw who would study topics out of the syllabus and please his brain because his brain wouldn't be pleased by being nerdish.

Zazuka could tell that Andrew was getting suspisios but she knew that if anyone could help her it would be Andrew. "Delphi is a root that helps with the trouble I have with visions and stuff." She said. Zazuka was glorifying it a little bit but she thought that she had to make it look as good as possable if she was ever going to get someone to get it for her.

"I've been making a potion out of it and it's worked great all this time but... Well..." She said running her right hand up and down her left arm. She felt really bad asking someone else to help her with something like this. That and word could get to her uncle and new aunt. She didn't know what they would say if they found out she was messing with something like Delphi.

Andrew nodded understanding about Delphi as Zuka explained. "I see" he said with a slight smile. As long as it was doing something good for his cousin he would help her. As she broke in her sentence he wondered what the problem was. Of course Zazuka was going to tell him so he could help her. He waited patiently to here her out "Yes?"

Zazuka let out long breath so she could steady herself. "I can't afford it anymore and if I stop taking the potion I make it like eternity takes the chance to just try and attck me. If you in anyway can help me get this plant I would owe you one big time." She said almost all at once. She didn't want to ask for it but she didn't want him to say no either.

Andrew heard Zazuka's request and smiled at her giving her for once a pure sunshine smile. "Is it only that?"he asked grinning. Andrew had a fortune in Gringotts that his mother Salem had left for him and he hardly used it since Mal always gave him pocket money and fulfilled all his needs. He had seen the towers of galleons in the underground account of his where Salem's entire wizarding family had stored their wealths and valuables and he was their only true heir.

"I can help you out" he said with a smile. "And that wouldn't be a problem" he added making sure Zazuka wouldn't feel bad about asking this little favor. "As for the 'you owe me part' ..." he smiled the evilness returning into him. "I'll keep that with me for now until the right time comes to ask you for a favor in return". Andrew was a Slytherin and he wasn't going to miss this opportunity to get his revenge from Gethathorn for blowing up his broomstick.

Zazuka was was happy and sad at the same time. She was overjoyed that Andrew had not thought her request too much but at the same time... Andrew's smile made her worry. "If it is within my capabity to do help you in anyway I will." She said with a wide smile. She just hoped that the small bit of darkness that she was picking up was the forest and not her most trusted now family member.

Zazuka floated over to Andrew and gave him a warm hug. "Thank you, thank you. You don't know how much this meanst to me." She said then started to walk off. She could feel the Lotus potion waring off and with that would come the visions. She needed to get back inside the castle to take her next dose. Zazuka had the heart shaped bottle with her but she needed something to put the drop in.
