For many months, Koboshi Aiko's parents had been nagging her to attend a charity event with them. She had continuously said no because she found them to be full of boring people and boring chatter and a whole lot of boring everything. She had been enjoying her life, maybe a little too much, but she had been enjoying spending her parents money, making more, messing around and doing a little for a lot. It was her way of expressing herself. She had been a lot more demure when she was in school and she had grown tired of it. She was a jealous and childish girl then and she still was now, but it wasn't as bad as it had been back then. Now she was older, more ready to accept things, though she was still childish to a degree and she was easily made jealous by a great many things, it was often through her own many faults, but not all the time. It wasn't like she didn't make it clear to her partners that she was the jealous type. They knew that, yet the still proceeded to dance with others and play around, what did they think was going to happen really?

Koboshi made her way down the harrowing staircase in a pair of heels she wouldn't dare to wear over a grate. The dress was a new one, brought this week when her parents had finally convinced her to actually attend an event with them. She had no idea how much of their money went into this party, but it was for some art gala, the proceeds of which were going to an orphanage in China. To be honest, Koboshi could care less about that orphanage. They certainly had plenty of responsibility for their lack of funds. To often they put their money into things they need not invest in. It was a tragic story, but never-the-less it was one that would continue. Koshi made the rounds for a while, nodding at people, her parents keeping a watchful eye to make sure she wasn't up to anything. Though she had to wonder what they were worried about. There was very little trouble she would actually get into, very little she could get into. There was only artists, critics and donors here. Her parents and herself included. It was a mystery to her why they wanted her here, she was hardly going to be able to draw people in, she was mostly uncomfortable in this atmosphere, muggle and magical included.

Eventually she decided she'd had enough of it all and decided to go for a walk. She didn't know where she was walking to, but she simply followed her feet and allowed them to dictate her direction. She nodded and chatted to people as she walked, hoping she could eventually get out of the massive groupings and into somewhere she could finally breath. The stuffy atmosphere was not her scene no matter how she played it. However her parents didn't like listening to her and so she had to learn to deal with it. Koshi sighed in relief when she found an opening in the people. She opened the door and stepped inside closing the door behind her. The music didn't seem to be as loud in here, which was a good thing. Though she had expected to be alone, she realised she wasn't and immediately flicked her wand into her hand before she remembered she was at a muggle event. The only magical people here were her father and herself. Shaking her head, Koshi noticed the person seeming to be staring at a painting, she raised her eyebrow. It was not one of the ones up for the auction. "Staring at it will not make it move."
