It was the summer holidays. And January spread out before Ivy with infinite opportunities. And then she would be in year three. She was hoping to be in miss wildman’s class when she went back as she seemed more fun than mr McAllister. But thoughts of school were a long way off for the seven year old as today her dad was taking her to the park. She liked going to the park she could play for hours on the swings and the climbing frame and climbing trees. But the best part was the flying fox. It wasn’t as fun as actual flying but it was still fun. She reached thebolaygroind and was happy to see that it was free. She ran over to it grabbed the seat and took it to the end she liked that it was just a seat and a wire. It could have been charmed to have the seat return to the start when empty but it wasn’t. It was more fun that way. She got her dad holding it still while she sat down. And then he pushed her giving her more speed along the track. weeeeeee she called as she flew along the path until it hit the end with a jolt and giggles. She slipped off the swing and started to make her way back towards the start dragging it behind her.

It was the school break and Fiona was happy to see her siblings back for the holidays. Though Fiona was a little confused as to why her eldest brother, Nolan hadn't come home. She definitely missed Nolan a lot. The youngest Burke wanted to go to the park and decided to drag her dad and her other brother, Conan along with her. When they arrived at the park, they all went their separate ways. Her dad sitting on the bench nearby to keep an eye on both her and her brother. While Conan went near the trees to find ant sort of shells for his collection.

Fiona noticed a few kids around her age, running around the park. She saw the flying fox and noticed a girl around her age bringing the swing back to the starting point, and decided to make her way up to her. "Hi! Can I have a turn after you?" Fiona asked with a smile as she enthusiastically waved as well as pointed to the swing that the girl pulling the swing behind her.

Ivy was just back at the platform when another girl appeared running over to her. "hi" she said as the girl asked to have a go on the flying fox. she had only been once and didn't want to have to leave it just yet. "there are two swings. we can go at the same time." she said before she turned to her dad. "Dad. Can you summon the other swing from the end" she called. taking the easy option and letting her dad do the work. A few moments later the second swing was gliding towards them. she caught it and smiled mischievously at the other girl. "Do you want to race?" she asked holding the swing out to her.

Fiona gasped excitedly. "Really?!" Fiona says in shock. She hadn't realised that there was two. She smiled happily as the older man managed to summon the other swing. Fiona thanked the girl's dad as well as the girl as she gets a hold of the swing. She nodded excitedly at the girl's question. "Okay! Game On!" Fiona said excitedly.

Ivy nodded. yes. There’s two. Me be my brother used to race on them. He always won because he was bigger. But he gave me a head start. she said. She waited for Fiona to get ready glad that her dad was around. ready. Three two one GO” she shouted pushing off hard as she shouted go. She went flying down the track spinning slightly as she went before letting out an oof as she hit the end and swung up. Giggling as she came to a stop. that was fun she said dismounting.

Fiona nodded as the girl explained about the two flying fox seats. She has never really done a flying fox competition with her siblings before, but it definitely sounded like fun. Fiona giggled a little as the girl started off the countdown, and they were off. Fiona was only just behind the girl, so she hadn't won. Which Fiona didn't mind. The young girl nodded her head quickly. "That was so fun! Did you wanna do that again?"

Icy was still laughing as she made her way back to the starting platform Yes again. You count next time she said. Still chuckling as she made her way up to the platform.it was fun to have found a friend here. she liked going to the park with her dad. but he was old and even though he played with her he wasn't as fun as someone her ages. It was good to come with jaxon when he was around but her cousin often had other things to do. Wilow lin and cas were fun whenthey brought her at least when they wanted to play before willow got bored and serious and lin and cas would end up wanting to be together. "Last one to the platform is a doxy egg sandwich" she said starting to run towards the platform the seat following her along its wire.

Fiona was having a whole heap of fun. She was glad that she was making a friend at the park. The rest of her siblings were still back at Hogwarts, so it got lonely at home most of the time. The house was quiet when it was just her and her mum around and her dad was at work. Fiona giggled and nodded, as the girl told her that it was Fiona's turn to count. She gasped and laughed a little at the next statement, she did not want to be a doxy egg sandwich. "Hey!" Fiona says with a laugh, as she started running towards the platform, the swing being dragged behind her.

Ivy laughed as she ran sand flying up behind her. she liked going fast and was a good runner, much like her parents. She enjoyed flying when she was allowed to use one of the brooms and hoped to play quidditch when she got to school. this was usually as close as she could come. and she had a new friend. she slowed as she heared the platform waiting for Fiona to catch up so they got there together. "no-one is a doxy egg" she said clambering onto the seat and moving back so she was ready with a bit of a push-off when it was time to go. "Ready" she said waiting for the count down.

Fiona laughed happily when she managed to catch up with Ivy. She laughed a little at the mention of no one being a doxy egg. It sounded like a funny word to Fiona. The young girl nodded very fast as they were about to count down. "One!.... Twooooooo..... THREEEEE!" Fiona says, and just after she counted down, she took off from the platform and heading towards the other side.

Ivy was ready to go and when Fiona counted down she took two steps and jumped off the platform faith in the seat that it would hold her. she went wizzing down the wire until she got to the end and swung up into the air. holding on tight to the seat. that was always the best bit of the flying fox. the speed was fun but that feeling of hitting the end was so much fun. "you won" she called as she dismounted and started dragging the seat back. she lied the flying fox and would happily play on it for longer but she looked across at the climbing pyramid and wondered if maybe Fiona wanted to play on something else.
