Hattie was glad that she was back at Hogwarts for another year, which would hopefully be a lot less stressful than her last. She couldn’t be more relieved that her OWL exams had gone smoothly and it was all over. She had received pretty decent grades, and took the liberty of taking some subjects out of her schedule this year in hopes that it would take some pressure off her. She was only left with a select few now, which hopefully meant she had a lot more time to do other things, such as plat quidditch and clear her mind. The teen wanted to make the most of the fact that classes hadn't actually started yet, and so she made her way out to the grounds to take in some fresh air. Fresh air had been so scarce last year and she forgot how beautiful it was to be outside with not a worry in the world. She stepped barefoot on the grass, taking in the sounds and smells around her as she began walking towards the lakefront. She could smell the salt from the lake getting stronger as she edged towards it. When she made it to the very edge she sat down, dangling her feet into the water and kicking it around. She wondered what exactly sat below her in the water as she looked up at the clouds above, letting her mind wander as far as it could go.

Samantha had decided that she needed a break from studying. She had been studying for a while and she defiantly needed a break from it all. The girl had decided that she was going to walk outside for a bit and take in the fresh air. Her feet had decided to take her to the Lakefront. Sam had noticed a familiar person nearby and made her way towards her. "Hiya Hattie. How was your break?" Sam says with a gentle smile, as she took a seat next to her. Samantha took off her shoes and socks, and also put her feet into the water.

Hattie's thoughts were interrupted when a familiar voice was heard beside her. She smiled at her classmate as she also put her feet into the water, wondering if perhaps Samantha wanted something from her. After all, not many people usually spoke to Hattie unless they needed to. The teen just nodded as she replied. "Yeah, not bad." she said. "What about yours? Did you do much?" Hattie felt that as people were older their holidays seemed less interesting, or at least that's what Hattie thought of her own. She had a job now at least, not that she really wanted everyone to know, so she wasn't lying when she said her break wasn't bad.
