To most, Cosette's weekend schedule was probably known as "unholy". Getting up at five in the morning generally was, to the teenage population at large, but what they didn't know was how lovely and cool the castle was, how pure and un-touched by the midday sun. Other than the night that mesmerized the puff, she found the morning to be breath-taking. Taking a long run along the lakefront and just inhaling the fresh air that gave her life. For about twenty minutes, the routines went smoothly; she twirled her way expertly across a tree nearby and returned to her dorm. Cross-stitching and casual common room banter occupied most of her morning, but after lunch she was struggling to find something else to do. This day is a special one as this would be Cosette Mayfair's last yuleball and she wanted it to be memorable just like her old ones. Even though it will only be her, hopefully someone would join her as well. Every minute was spent carefully, fixing her hair and adding a few dash of make-up even though her natural beauty went well with everything. Puffing her dress as she twirled around in front of the mirror a few times now, Cosette looked so beautiful if only Raff's here to see her. She could send him one of those pictures to him, but it didn't felt real to him or her. Decisions, Decisions. It will be decided later on then, she sat stood once more in front the mirror. Looking at herself, adding a few finishing touches before going to the great hall to join the rest of the students. Once she was settled with her look, the prefect wore her heels and left the premises. Making her way to the dance, how she wish to actually dance with someone. As a friend of course, it didn't took her that long to arrive and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.
Such a delight to see wonderful face, dressed to express or dressed to impressed. It didn't matter as long as everyone's having fun this very day, Cosette didn't want to get any attention but whatever she did, it always turned out the opposite way. She made an entrance and everyone was looking at her, maybe because her gold eyes complimented her dress. A small curved line started to form on her lips, smiling at everyone. First years and seventh years like her, she doesn't know everyone but she's eager to get to know them. Taking small steps as she joined the dance floor, Cosette stood nearby to watch the crowd of students getting bigger and bigger. Perhaps later on she could dance, with either a friend or a stranger. For a moment she gazed at the ceiling and then to the walls, the decorations and the rest, she'll surely miss everything about the yuleball next year. It wouldn't be the same like other dances to her, this will be something she'll hold on for the rest of her life. As the music started to play, Cosette could feel her body following through it, she kept her head nodding but she didn't want to dance alone. Although some first years were having fun, dancing alone or by groups. She couldn't even remember her first yuleball that much, since she got to caught up with her sibling arguing back then. Now, she's the only Mayfair standing in Hogwarts New Zealand and it actually felt nice. The puffs keeps were slowly moving from right to left, swaying in a manner of elegance. When the music ended, Cosette clapped her hands and watched the rest of the students grab a bite and a drink between their dances.
