Geo had enjoyed her first Christmas away from St Mary's, and she had instead spent a couple of weeks with her new best friend Leila. She was a funny girl, and her large beautiful house and family was nothing short of an impossible dream for the eleven year old. There was rumour that Geo may be able to stay there until she began at Hogwarts, considering both girls would be attending then. However Geo now found herself once more in Obsidian Harbour; this time not to stay at the Leaky Cauldron, but instead she wanted to spend some time exploring what lied ahead of her.

With very little money, Geovanna wasn't in the mind to purchase anything, but nothing bad ever came from browsing. One particular shop that had caught her eye was Flourish and Blotts. Geo was not the smartest person, nor would she ever be, but she wanted to do well in school and study as best she could to prepare herself for the future. She had a vague idea of what she wanted to be when she grew up, but need to find out more details.

Approaching the large dusty door of the bookshop, she turned the handle and pushed it open, a bell announcing her arrival. She gave a brief smile to those who turned to watch her enter, before closing the door behind her. She looked around the room in awe. Books were shoved in every crevasse possible in the room, even along the wall up the stairs. Keeping to the left hand side of the room, her fingers lifted to glide across all kind of topics, from "The New Theory of Numerology" to "E-Nesbit's Fairy Tales". Unsure of where to start, considering she'd not yet recieved her school welcome letter, Geovanna wandered the isles, content to be surrounded by so much knowledge.

In between shopping for extra school supplies and following Rome around like a lost puppy, Cairo could be found browsing books in Flourish and Blotts, both of the educational and fictional variety. Reading was an escape from the stress of his daily life and an easy way for the Slytherin to avoid being social when he didn't want to be. He therefore wanted nothing more than to read and further evolve his taste in literature so he could constantly expand is knowledge, never grow bored of what he was reading, and so he would always have something to read if the situation called for it. Flourish and Blotts was nothing more than the perfect place for him to search for books as the place was filled with books stacked from the floor to the ceiling, written about anything and everything. He always managed to find something new while browsing the shelves and had never been disappointed with his purchases from the store. It was something commendable considering Cairo's conceit and it was the sole reason he always returned when he had a spare moment and more of his parents' money to spend.

That day, Cairo was searching for books on wizarding history, more specifically he was searching for books about Merlin's life as he had learned about it in his history of magic classes, but was never provided with an opportunity to learn about Merlin away from class. He browsed with intent to find some sort of biography, gracing his hands over every spine on the shelves and reading every title until he crossed paths with someone younger than him. He paused his steps and frowned at the interruption. "Excuse me." He said, tone impatient. He only had a limited amount of time to search and did not want to waste it waiting for someone to move out of the way.
