Boston Adams felt that she was doing good in her classes so far. She still had a long way to go before she listened to the lecture without the desire to fall asleep, but she was working her way there. She sat in the Student Lounge. She was so bored! She did not know what to do. She had finished what she remembered to do for homework. She was completely empty. She had seen Kris around, but he was busy with others or another excuse. It bothered her that she had not been able to spend some quality time with one of the only friends she had! He was going to make up for it in the second semester. The second year took up the whole sofa. She hoped that no one wanted to sit with her anytime soon.

Maka wondered arounf the school in his usual nondescrept way. unlike both of his siblings he was not one for testing the boundries and pushing the limits, or even one for sports. he was just missing hme and and looking forward to the holiday spending time with his sister mum and Gamma. really out of all the Kicketts Maka had always been, and always would be the baby of the family. usually this time of the day on a saturday he would be out in the garden where there ws a patch of australian plants, the smell reminded him of home as he tried to remember the traditional walking songs. maybe next time he was home he would ask someone to write them down.
Today however it was raining. not wanting to get drenched he instead headed to the student loungs, a essay with him that was due the next day that he had hardly started. he entered the room and looked around the room was fairly busy, though not too busy to find seats he skirted around a group of rather tough looking sixth years and saw a girl who he recognosed form classes as being in his house. he smiled at her as a sort of greeting and took a seat on the armchair next to the sofa she seemed to be happy reclining on. "hey, hows it going" he said to the girl in greeting. mot wishing to admit after a couple of years he had forgotten her name, maybe never even asked for it, he was fairly sure it was a geographical name, a canadian town maybe, or was it American Houston didn't seem quite right. he placed the homework on the table though he really had no desire to actually do it; and he wondered why he had never really spoken to this girl who he had a pile of classes with before.
