Aroha's eyes lit up excitedly as she followed her family into the large Canadian house. She was so happy to be finding out all this cool stuff about her relatives, and ecstatic to be away from from the Halfway House. Sure, she might have to go back for easter, but right now it was Christmas. The girl grinned at her cousins. She'd never met them before now, and was relieved that they'd seemed to accept her immediately. It was warm in Calgary, warmer than New Zealand, and especially Kurow. Aroha dumped her stuff in the hallway, being told by her adorable younger cousin Benny that the elf would take care of it. ”Thankyou, Lili.” Aroha smiled. The elf was so sweet and friendly in it's tiny pink overalls. Aroha had been shocked when she saw the pictures of the elf wearing clothes, but to Aroha's family, it was normal, and Lili was a part of the family.

Olive was so excited to meet Aroha. Ignoring her dismissive older sister, she skipped along the cobblestones, waving at her Aunty Ellie in the window. Her father carried her trunk for her, giving Olive a bit of free-lease.She bounded up the steps to the front door, pushing it open to see Tess, all ready to greet her girls. ”Tess!” Olive exclaimed. ”Look Tess!” Olive proudly showed her mother a large purple bruise on her shoulder. ”I did it last time I was training!” Olive was excited every time she got hurt, it helped her realize how hard she trained for her Black Belt.

Riley proudly wore her Beauxbatons uniform as she strolled up the front steps with her heavy trunk. Aroha and Olive had jabbered away all the way home, and although she was pleased that her sister had a friend, Riley was getting the beginnings of a headache. ”Hi Tess.” she greeted her mother tiredly. ”How are you?” Riley was concerned for her mother and the baby, she hadn't heard any news lately.

Benny shyly waited behind his mother, the sweet little boy anxious for the return of his sisters and cousin. The move to Calgary, despite the immense stress involved, hadn't really affected the eleven-year-old, although that wasn't to say he wasn't still adjusting.”Tess! They're here!” he exclaimed quietly, tugging on his mother's sleeve. Benny couldn't wait to meet Aroha, his blue eyes glittered as the door opened. ”Hello, I'm Benny.” he murmered firmly at his cousin, words falling awkwardly from his mouth as he tried to combat his shyness. ”You can put your stuff there if you like. Lili will put it in your room.” Benny loved this new house, he finally had his own room.

Lili was enjoying tidying up the kitchen very muchly. This was her first job as a houseelf, after growing up and being trained at Hogwarts Scotland. But now Lili had a housey to look after, and a happy, brightly family to feed. Lili loved it muchly. She fiddled with the big oven, shifting the steam-pud so that she could fit on some eggs for Mistress Tessy. The elf was quite successful in the kitchen now, and loved surprising her family with creative new dishes. Lili saw her family arrive and rush into the hallway to sort out the trunkies. ”Hello Mistress Olive and Mistress Aroha. And Hello Mistress Riley.” she grinned happily. “Oh noes!” she exclaimed at the sight of the bruise. ”Is Mistress Olive needy first aid?!” Lili was horrifyed at the size of the bruise, craning her neck to try and see it properly.
