Completely Ignored

[Milena La Fleur]

Milena stared at the window and slowly turned her head around to see if someone was approaching towards her. She hated the fact that she was being ignored and not having someone to talk to. How she wish that she denied her father for coming here in Hogwarts. As the sun faced her she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.


She held her hands near to her face then slapped her face that make her cheeks turned rossy red. Rubbing her face she stared at the people around her, curiosly to know if someone saw her do that. The sunlight was blinding her eyes but as always she didn't care. Her mind was going insanely mad and she hated it the most. She then remembered Paris and started to whisper words to herself..Juste un petit peu plus long et je serai parfait"..Milena was somehow sad and mad at her decision, but she was left with regret.

 

[Ekky]

Ekky the house elf was about to apparate out of the Great Hall, where he'd been cleaning up after lunch, to the kitchens, but his dog Tip had gotten away. She hated side-along apparating with Ekky, and despite her age, was becoming increasingly good at sneaking away unnoticed just as he was about to go somewhere. "Tip! Oh noes! Where is Tip going now? Tip! Ekky must be getting back to the kitchen-rooms! But Ekky cannot be leaving goodly Tip alone in Hoggywarts! 'Tis against the rules! Oh noes, Tip! Goodly dog! Come back!" He called in his gravelly voice as he ran after her. He spotted her trotting up the stairs, and apparated with a squeak to appear just in front of her.

When he arrived there, he heard a young girl say something. The ancient house elf, only two feet tall, spun on his creaky toes to see who it was. "Oh! Mistress! Excusing Ekky for rudeness, but did Mistress say 'Just a bit puffy'? 'Tis an oddly strange thing to be saying to oneself, Mistress. Perhaps Mistress is hungry and his needing some foodycakes? Hmmm?" By now Tip had come up behind him and towered over him. The large rottweiler looked a lot scarier than she was, and EKky sometimes worried that she might scare the young witchies of Hoggywarts.

Suddenly Milena heard a voice, when she turn around to see who it was she was surprised to see a house elf. It was the first time for Milena to see a house elf in Hogwarts. She wasn't scared at all but kind of pleased to realize that someone actually noticed her."Uhmm Its fine I'm not hungry" she said to the elf. A dog appeared out of the blue. Milena stared at it and approached it without fear. She then remembered how she missed her own dog Luna. After a few minuted she gently stretched out her hand and tried to touch the dog ,hoping it won't bite her. Milena turned her attention to the house elf as she was petting the dog. "Is he your pet?. .What's he's name" she asked the elf while giving him/her a big bright smile.

[Ekky]

Ekky cocked his head to the side, he'd heard, "I'm pine nut hungry." "Right away, Mistress, Ekky bring you pine nuts immediately." He thought about where the pine nuts were in the kitchen and summoned them magically. A small bowl appeared in front of him, and he held out his hands to catch it. Then the pine nuts appeared above him and fell neatly through the air to land in the bowl. He held it up towards the young witch. "Mistress, your pine nuts!" He grinned his wide, toothless grin and watched with large hopeful eyes to see if she would like his offering.

When she began to pet Tip, Ekky grinned even more. He was often very busy and didn't get to spend all the time he'd like with his beloved Tip, but he also loved his job. He liked it when his masters and mistresses made the time for Tip. He was very grateful.

Tip sniffed the hand that was held out to her and decided it smelled trustworthy enough. She wasn't an aggressive dog, and this human didn't seem to be threatening Ekky, so she let it pet her.

"Oh Mistress! This be Tip, the goodliest dog in Hoggywarts!" he crowed, then added, "well, the only-est dog in Hoggywarts. But very goodly! Aah, Mistress is having a beautifully smile! Mistress is liking Ekky's pine nuts?"

Milena was surprised to see a bowl of pine nuts in front of her. She realized it might be rude to not have some so she held her hand and got a handful for her to taste. Milena loved the idea of having a dog here in Hogwarts. She then once again touched Tip's head to gently hold him. Milena got down on her knees and tried to gaze at the house elf. "Ekky, so that's your name? and your dog is Tip. Both of you have great names and quite easy to memorize too..and Oh Thank You so much for the Pine Nuts" she said while giggling. I'm Milena by the way" she exclaimed trying to held her hand to Ekky for a handshake.

 

[Ekky]

Ekky was pleased that the witchey seemed to be enjoying her pine nuts. His face stretched even further with his giant smile. He was delighted that she seemed friendly, but he was confused by what she said. "Ekky, so what's your name? And two tog hip. Both of you have great names and fight he's a green eyes, too... Oh and thank you so much for the fine knots." Ekky shook his head, trying to make sense of it all, but forgot about it when she giggled. The sound of witcheys giggling was Ekky's favourite sound in the world.

"Oh, hello Milenabytheway, Ekky is very pleased to be meeting Mistress." He reached out and shook her hand, giggling as he did so. He could never explain why, but he found the concept of hand-shaking highly amusing. Suddenly he had a brilliant idea, and jumped up and down in his excitement. "Ooh! Does Mistress Milenabytheway wish to hear a joke?"

Milena was amused with Ekky. "Hmm..this is kinda hard but fun" she mumbled to herself. "I'm Milena" she said while laughing. "I would love to hear a joke from you Ekky" she answered back to his questions. Milena can't help her self but to smile while listening to the elf words. She turned her head and once again touched Tip's forehead.

 

[Ekky]

Ekky heard the young witchey mumble to herself. His giant ears picked up almost everything, if not always correctly. He heard the emphasis on the word he assumed was her name the second time she said it. He was horror-struck that he'd gotten her name wrong and immediately dropped to his knees, holding her hand in both of his and making bowing motions, begging for forgiveness. "Oh! Mistress Minena, Ekky is terribly sorry. Ekky has terrible old ears, ears is not young like ears is used to be, in them olden days. Oh Mistress Minena, Please do be forgiving Ekky, Ekky is hardworking elf!" He noticed she was smiling and decided it must be okay, but he still felt bad.

However, he had a chance to set things right. With his original master, Ekky could do almost anything wrong and everything would be smoothed over if he told his master a good joke. When Mistress Menina agreed to hear a joke, Ekky racked his brain for a good one. "Ekky is finding a goodly joke for such a prettiful witchey..." he explained as he thought. "Ah ha! Ekky has a goodly jokey!" he announced after a moment. "Ahem...

What does Mistress get when Mistress crosses a centipede and a parrot?"

Milena once again heard Ekky pronounced her name wrong but this time she just let it go. When she was listening to Ekky's joke she was puzzled and wondered what it was but still she can't stop smiling. "I have no idea , What is it?" she asked the house elf for the answer. Milena loved to be entertain even when she was young but sometimes its the other way around for her.

 

[Ekky]

"A WALKIE-TALKIE!" Ekky was so excited to be telling the joke that he squeaked and wheezed trying to hold in his laughter. To be honest, he wasn't entirely sure what a walkie-talkie was, although he'd heard it was some kind of muggle-contraption (he hoped Mistress Minena was a muggley witchey), but he liked the sound of it - anything that rhymed was good and funny in Ekky's books.

Tip was enjoying the feeling of the young human's hands on her muzzle and head. She decided she liked this girl. When Ekky began to squeak and wheeze, she became momentarily concerned, until she realised he was just laughing. She loved Ekky, but he had a tendency to get himself into awkward situations. Sometimes it was hard keeping up with him.

Milena giggled louder when he heard Ekky squeaked. She enjoyed the joke especially Ekky's laughter. She then noticed Tip was somehow motionless and she started to talk. "How long have you been serving here in Hogwarts Ekky?" she asked him while smiling.

 

[Ekky]

Ekky was so happy that Mistress Minena appeared to have enjoyed his joke. "Oh, Ekky is helping at Hoggywarts for one goodly year! Ekky is an oldy house elf, but just newly at Hoggywarts. Ekky loves it here! Has Mistress Minena seen the bigly kitchenrooms? Them is so prettiful and bigly! Plenty of spaces for cooking. And cooking is Ekky's specialitaty! Is Mistress Minena newly at Hoggywarts too? Witcheys is so luckyful, to be having a school like Hoggywarts!"

Milena nodded with a burst of laughter, seeing Ekky excited makes her happy. "I'm new here too in Hoggywarts, actually its my first year here" she said to the elf smiling while her eyes shining brightly."Lucky?I hope so. . . " she mumbled to herself.

 

[Ekky]

Ekky nodded knowingly. "'Tis Ekky's second year. Mistress Minena is not being worried? Oh noes! Nothings to be worrying about!" He clicked his fingers and a spark of light exploded into streamers and floating balloons carrying a banner that said "Hoggywarts is Wonderful!," accompanied by what sounded like a tinny recording of the school song. Ekky chuckled.

Tip was not so impressed with Ekky's show of magic. She whined and lay down on her stomach, placing her front paws over her head.

That just made Ekky laugh more.

When Milena saw the sparks and the banner she was amused. She started to burst out laughing hard. "I hope so Ekky. .I do hope so." she muttered to herself as if she was somehow confused. She then glanced at Tip who seems to be somehow embarrassed, she knelt down and started to hold tips head gently letting her fingers flow through his hair.

 

[Ekky]

Ekky was delighted at the sound of Minena's laughter, but he could tell shew as still worried. He couldn't imagine what about - he loved Hoggywarts with all his heart. He climbed onto Tip's shoulders and petted her behind the ears. He noticed Minena was paying attention to Tip, so he thought it might be good to show her that he loved Tip, too. "Oh Mistress Minena! Ekky can be telling that Mistress is worried!" He cocked his head to one side and his giant ears quivered with the movement.

"Mistress be telling Ekky the goodly house-elf whatever is the problem. Ekky be fixing rightaways!"

Milena glanced at Ekky when she heard him talk about something. After realizing the question she just nodded and smile. "I'ts okay" she replied after a couple of minutes. She tried to hide her emotions for a while to keep the elf from worrying.

 

[Ekky]

With Minena's reaction, Ekky got the distinct feeling that something was wrong. And the only conclusion he could come up with was that that something was him. A panic arose in him and his immediate reaction was to punch himself in the face and poke himself in the eye. "Oh Ekky is a badly house elf!" He wailed, allowing himself to fall off Tip's shoulders onto the cold stone floor. He conjured an anvil above him and let it fall on his tiny body. "Ekky is terribly sorrily, Mistress Minena!" he cried as he made the anvil disappear and yanked at his ears. Pulling himself towards the wall, the lower half of his body crushed, he whacked his head repeatedly against the stone wall of the hallway. "Bad" whack "Bad" whack "Bad!" whack!

At Ekky's first wail, Tip sprung to her feet with agility, despite her arthritis. As he fell from her shoulders she whined and pushed her nose towards him, but sensed danger and withdrew split seconds before the anvil fell on her old friend. She barked angrily at the anvil until it disappeared, then moved between the human and Ekky, unsure whose fault it was, but her main priority was to protect Ekky.

She nudged Ekky's limp legs with her nose, whining, but there was nothing she could do when he got into this state. She knew he wouldn't stop until someone commanded him to.

Everything seem to be okay but then suddenly she was shocked to find out that Ekky was now hurting himself. Milena was confused and tried to stop him. "Ekky Stop it! Stop! It's not your fault! Stop!" she commanded him. While Ekky was hurting himself Milena was somehow hurting to seeing her friend hurt and all."Your not Bad. Your Good Ekky" she exclaimed trying to calm the little elf now. She then tried to put the anvil away from the place so no one could see it anymore. When she saw Tip worried she tried to pat him to express that everything was going to be okay. Milena checked if Ekky was unconscious or something.

 

[Ekky]

The moment Ekky heard Minena say "Stop," he stopped. He was in a great deal of pain, but he was sure he deserved it. He heard her say, You're not bad, you're good, Ekky, but he didn't believe it. Why would she be worried if he hadn't done something wrong? "O, Mistress Minena, Ekky must know what is troubling Mistress. How is Ekky fixes if Ekky isn't know the problems?"

Tip could see Ekky was hurt, but she knew he wouldn't be for long. She didn't understand it, but she knew he healed miraculously fast. Something the girl had said had made him stop hurting himself, and for that Tip was pleased. She still stood warily, watching both the human and the house elf, though.

"Oh nothing!" she exclaimed trying to change the topic. She then felt her stomach grumbling, she wrapped her arms around her stomach to stop the noise it was making. "Hmm I wonder why?" she whispered to herself confused and all. Milena just stared at Ekky and Tip as she was smiling trying to hide her hunger to herself. She even gave Ekky a pat to kind of say everything is fine.

 

[Ekky]

Ekky felt greatly saddened when he realised his Mistress didn't want to tell him what the problem was. His usual cheery countenance seemed to melt and he looked like his almost 200 years for the first time in his life. Ekky was never sad, but now... his ears drooped, his skin sagged, his shoulders were so low his bony fingers touched the ground. He turned to go - too upset to even apparate - touching Tip gently on the leg to tell her to follow him.

He heard Mistress Minena's stomach rumble, and his ears perked up a little - at least he could do something for her. Knowing that a meal had just finished in the Great Hall and Minena had most likely missed it, he summoned a plate of croissants, one of cheese and one of chocolate, and they appeared in front of Minena. He sighed; he'd never felt this way before - wanting to help someone, but they wouldn't let him help. He decided to busy himself with work, and headed for the student club area - there was always some kind of mess to clean up down there.

Milena noticed Ekky's appearance to change, he was sad and all. He even gave Milena a plate full of food. She felt bad seeing the elf all disappointed. "Wait Ekky! I'm so sorry!" she approached Ekky who seems to be leaving the room. Milena went in front of him and tried to stop Ekky."My problem is that I'm still not used to Hogwarts and the fact that your the only friend I have here." she exclaimed trying to panic. "Please don't get mad and leave me Ekky" she pleaded now kneeling on the floor. She glanced at Tip and started to apologize even to the dog.

 

[Ekky]

When Ekky heard Mistress Minena tell him to wait, he did so. She explained that she was lonely, but then she said the most wondrous thing! Upon hearing it, Ekky's countenance changed - he stood tall (well, as tall as a house elf can), his back straightened, his eyes lit up and a happy grin spread across his wrinkled face. Clapping his hands together, he cried out, "Ekky is friendy? Ekky is friendy of witchey Minena? Oh happy happy! Ekky be Minena's bestest goodly friendy!" He jumped into the air and made fireworks appear all around himself and his new friend. "Oh, Minena not be sadly! Ekky help Minena make goodly witchey friendies! Hoggywarts is to-the-brim-filled with goodly friendly witcheys! Come!" he took Minena by the hand and whistled for Tip to follow. He headed downstairs to the kitchens where he introduced her to the other house elves.

"These is just house elfy friendies - many many more witchey friendies to be had!" he reassured the girl.

Tip followed along beside the girl, sensing she needed her comforting presence, being sure to remain within reach at all times, so that whenever the girl got scared, she could reach out and touch Tip. Just like Ekky, she liked to help people. Especially if it didn't involve apparition!

Milena looked at Ekky as he was celebrating, she laughed so hard with the elf's reaction. Staring at the bright fireworks he had done made Milena even more happy as ever. "Where are we going?" she asked him confusingly. Milena's mood changed to being happy, she rubbed Tip's ear as she followed Ekky.
