[adminapproval=7729163]Annalie paced the seventh floor corridor impatiently. She was awaiting the arrival of Lapis for the the eagerly anticipated test of her strength. The Ravenclaw had it all organised, she had felt an unusual surge of kindness when she rose from her bed that morning and decided that instead of throwing the other girl into the deep end and she felt it best to give her some practice. Therefore she had set up the seventh floor corridor for that particular reason, practice. On one certain and weak individual Samual Kaster. He had proven himself easy enough to torment that there was no conceivable way that Lapis could fail, unless she wanted her secret spread. Though, of course, Annalie knew she didn't otherwise she wouldn't have gotten so far in the blackmailing process. Shaking back her hair she rolled her dark eyes, if the insolent child didn't turn up soon then they were going to miss their chance, dear Samual would pass without a scratch to his positive exterior, thought she was sure that her mere presence would be enough to knock the younger Gryffindor off balance. But that wasn't the point of her being there, it was going to be Lapis' responsibility now while the brunette assumed a low profile.

Turning on her heel Annalie stomped back down the corridor swearing darkly under her breath as she did so. Lapis was always late, thought admittedly this time it was the fault of the class schedule rather than the other girl's inability to be punctual, not that Annalie would ever admit such a thing. As the classes ended the bustle of noisily chatting kids hit Annalie's ears, bringing a scowl of contempt to her face. She loathed the entirety of the school population save Arielle and seeing such a large congregation of the source of her hatred in one place made the Ravenclaw visibly shudder. Spotting a familiar head of black hair however, Annalie fought her way through the masses to get to Lapis. Grabbing the girl's arm Annalie pulled her to the side. "Lapis, it's your time to shine!" she announced turning the girl to face the curly haired freak that had just entered the hall. "This is Sammy Kaster, a pathetic little cry baby if you ask me but that's just what you need, a practice target. Now it's simple enough that even you could handle it. Simply go up to him and give him a hard time about how his parents killed themselves because they didn't want to be around him. Simple yeah? And if you find him trying to be strong you might want to mention his brother Ben." she instructed Lapis with a smirk. "Oh and I wouldn't mind if you mentioned how pathetic his sister Tamalia was too. Think you can handle that?" she asked, but not waiting for an answer Annalie pushed Lapis towards Samual, "And make it convincing." she added before melting into the shadows to watch the drama unfold.

Lapis walked out of class feeling positive for the first time in days. She had immersed herself in the lesson and managed to lose that niggling constant awareness of the enormity of her problems. Then she glimpsed Annalie through the crowd. Lapis knew exactly why the younger (and far more horrible) Ravenclaw was there. What other reason could she have for waiting outside Lapis' class? It didn't surprise Lapis that Annalie wasn't in her own class. She stood awkwardly as the other girl struggled towards her. Annalie pulled Lapis roughly to the wall opposite and pointed out a Gryffindor boy. Lapis had seen him before, a cheerful sort of person, she'd thought - always bouncy. No wonder Annalie wanted to pick on him. It had suddenly become abundantly clear to Lapis what the intention of the blackmail was. Annalie wanted someone else to do her blackmailing for her. A perfect way to ruin two people's days simultaneously, and avoid getting caught.

After relaying her instructions Annalie shoved Lapis in the appropriate direction. Lapis vaguely continued towards Samual, then reminded herself to work more confidently as she approached him. He glanced up with a start, and she felt the first stab of guilt. He looked so innocent. "Hey, Sammy." Lapis sneered, watching the smile disappear from his face merely at the tone of her voice. "I heard your parents killed themselves because they didn't want to be around you. Is that true Sammy? It certainly isn't hard to imagine." Lapis used Annalie's words, figuring they were more cutting than anything she could come up with herself. She felt fake saying it, but poor Sammy obviously believed she meant every word. Maybe I'm better at acting than I thought. she lingered to observe his reaction desperately hoping that no one would see this.

Samual had been having a very good day, and he was sure it showed on his face when he was finally out of class and walking through the halls of the castle, he was going to the Gryffindor Common room so he could collect some things and put some stuff away, before he went outside to hang out with some friends. Sammy's curls swayed with his movements as he tried his best to navigate the hallway whilst other people were stumbling about, it was quite crowded sometimes, but the Gryffindor never really had any problems with it. What nearly made him faint was seeing a girl that could have been Annalie Darkharts twin, but when he looked around for her again, he couldn't see her and relaxed, obviously he was getting paranoid and was starting to see that horribly horrible girl around, that was most likely not healthy at all. Samual shook his head and kept his emerald eyes in the direction he was heading to, but when an older girl appeared to want to speak with him, he smiled at her happily, he was always up for meeting someone new, maybe this could be a new friend! Sammy was already excited. "Hi!" He said chipperly, but his inner happy-feeling soon turned a little sour when she sneered at him, that wasn't nice at all, and was a horrible reminder of a certain other older girl, his natural, cheerful smile soon disappeared, and he doubted that it was going to come back anytime soon.

Samual was utterly speechless when the stranger spoke about his parents, was this a regular thought by people around the school? Why did they need to feel like they had to verbally tease him about such sensative topics? Really?! The Gryffindor could barely breathe because of what the girl had said to him. It was really upsetting, when everytime someone teased you, they would be someone you didn't know, in fact, Samual didn't know any of his attackers personally, they just randomly hated him for whatever reason and they would point out various things they hated about him, or thought were pathetic, it was really upsetting, and it was obvious that he was very upset and hurt, his face told the story of his feelings like a book. "Who are you, exactly?" He asked, trying to to crack, or yell, or breakdown and cry, again. It was hard though.

Lapis was having a hard time not cracking herself, especially when Samual's green eyes stared so plaintively into her blue ones. She glanced back, towards Annalie. Her blackmailer was still watching. Evidently the insult itself was not enough; she had to reduce Samual to tears. Lapis rolled her eyes (trying her best to do so sardonically). He was close to crying already. There was no way she would tell him who she was, so she just said, "Oh, I guess you could call me a concerned person." Very concerned, she added mentally. "I'm just curious, really.

Lapis paused, racking her brains for the other scanty details Annalie had given her. His sister . . . and something about his brother too. It was hard to concentrate. She felt so guilty. All Lapis could think of to do was keep reminding herself that this wasn' her fault. It didn' come close to being a sufficient excuse, not beside Sammy' vulnerable face. She wanted to hug him, not taunt him. And the worst part was, she could never tell him the truth about this encounter. She would see this boy in the corridors, and he would believe she genuinely hated him, just like Annalie did. "You have siblings, don't you." It wasn't a question. "An utterly pathetic sister, and I heard something about a brother, too . . . What happened to him, Sammy? Why have I never seen him around school?"

Samual honestly felt like crying, because it seemed that this girl was out to achieve just that. What the Gryffindor didn't understand, was why this had to happen once again, he was getting enough trouble from magazines and Annalie, why did this girl have to come out of the ground and suddenly start on him as well? It wasn't like any of this was funny, it was upsetting and he wasn't sure how anyone could just go up to someone else and tease them about their late parents, and not cry themselves for being so cruel. But apparently it seemed pretty simple for some people, so maybe it was just Sammy. Sammy's eyes were to the ground, but when the girl spoke, Sam sighed deeply, he doubted she'd tell him who she was, it was just like with Annalie, except this time it was right in the middle of the walkway, people making their way past and not even bothering to look twice. It was slowly starting to clear, and Samual was trying to decide whether he should running away or not, but he didn't want to run into anyone, or run the risk of being touched by this girl, so he just stood weakly in his place. Samual's emerald eyes returned to the girls blue eyes, she didn't look like a horrible person, but right now she seemed like one and it was a little upsetting for him to know that if this girl had not of started being mean to him, he would have liked to be her friend. "Curious about what?" He asked quietly. Hopefully she'd decide that this wasn't worth it, and just walk away and become best friends with other cruel people, surely every cruel person needed a friend.

As the girl started mentioning the fact that Samual had siblings, he began to worry about who she would talk about, and what she'd say about them. Sammy cared about all of his siblings, and they all had their faults and problems, and Sammy knew this. But it really upset him when people said mean things about them, because they didn't know them and they had no right. Samual's face turned from saddness to uter shock when the girl actually commented on on his siblings, the Gryffindor doubted she even knew their names, but he could guess who she was talking about when she meanted one of his brothers, since no-one ever meanted Jack, probably because he was alive and playing Quidditch, being happy, while Ben was deceased and never coming back. Ever. "He went to another school..." He explained sadly, his face turned hot because of the tears that threatened to fall. The last thing he was going to tell her was that the brother she was obviously talking about was dead, because she'd already teased him about his parents deaths, why would he give her more ammunition.
