Lucy Kaster was definitely tired and kind of frustrated. She had received a letter from her mother and even though she was sure it was not meant to offend her or hurt her feelings in anyway, the mention of Uncle Sammy getting on with his dreams was really pissing Lucy off. So what? Really did it matter that much that her mother had to write to her whenever something apparently amazing happened. Sighing and continuing along the corridor, Lucy wondered where she could go. She supposed she could go to the library, but she wasn't really the library kind of person, so that would be a little silly. Sighing again, Lucy proceeded to walk into the library anyway so that she could find a book that she would like to read, discovering one on a table, a book of quidditch, Lucy was rather happy. She liked Quidditch, she didn't much like to play, but she was a big fan of watching the game.

Moving back out into the corridor, Lucy slid herself down the wall. She wasn't much a library person that was true but she still liked reading. Reading was a good thing and it was something she could do without being judged by her mother and the rest of her family. There was really nothing left in this world for Lucy to do that someone in her family hadn't already done, except maybe be a professor or work in the ministry, but she didn't really know how she felt about either of those two options. It was a good thing she was only twelve, she had no idea what she wanted to do yet. Sighing, Lucy got herself comfortable and leaned against the way, pulling her knees up and laying the book across her lap. This wasn't so bad. This should be okay now.

Sorry about this starting.

It wasn't too pleasant of a day as the skies had turned grey and a steady downpour of rain had been falling from the sky all morning. Gabriel Black wasn't scheduled for any lessons today, and he had every intention of heading out to the pitch before he had looked out the large windows in the Ravenclaw Common Room. He had regrettably taken his broom back up to his dorm room and put it away with a heavy sigh. Quidditch seemed out of the question today. Sighing, he headed back out to the common room, wondering what he could do today.

At first, Gabriel considered going to visit his mother. It was unusual to have her so close to him where he could see her whenever he wished. Gabe felt strange seeing her on a daily basis instead of two or three times a week. However, he thought she was teaching today, and she hated it when he interrupted a lesson, and he found it quite embarrassing as well. Instead, Gabriel decided to head down to the library, unsure if he wanted to do a bit of studying, or just read a book for pleasure.

As the Ravenclaw boy neared the fourth floor, he noticed a girl sitting out in the corridor, reading. He looked at her curiously, intrigued by her decision to sit in a hallway and read. Didn't she find it distracting? "You know, there are really comfy chairs in there right?" he said, pointing to the library. "Why are you reading in the hallway?" he asked, not rudely but curiously. Gabriel noticed the title had the word Quidditch in it, and it immediately peaked his interest. "Quidditch? Do you play?" he asked, quickly changing the topic.
