Lily was sitting in her dorm when a familiar looking owl was tapping at her window. Opening it quickly, she let the bird in, and took the parchment from its leg. "I got some treats for you, Harper!" She dug through the drawer of her desk and tossed a couple of treats at the bird, before crossing to her bed to read the letter.

How in the world have you been? I'm sorry for not writing to you sooner. Things have been busier than heck here and I'm apt to forget my own name one day. Anything new at Hogwarts New Zealand? I can't believe I've been out of school for half a year already.

I was wondering, would you like to visit over Christmas? My dad and Julie are having a Christmas party and I'm sure they'd love to have you stay over. I've got something to show you. And maybe I'll get you a present... if you're nice of course!
