Natsuko had thoroughly enjoyed charms. She had barely even noticed that they hadn't done any actual magic, or been that affected by the odd atmosphere in the classroom. Professor Blade wasn't her favourite professor so far, but the subject of charms was definitely enough to excite Natsuko. On her way out of the classroom she accosted someone who just happened to be exiting along with her - a Gryffindor she'd hadn't really spoken to yet. "Wasn't that cool?" Natsuko gushed excitedly. "He made a dog appear! At least, I think it was a dog. It was all silvery and stuff. I'm Natsuko, by the way. Oh, you probably know that, we all just had to introduce ourselves, didn't we?" Natsuko laughed a little, starry-eyed. "Do you think we'll learn to do that spell? What did he say? Expect...Expect patro...gum? No, that's not quite right," Natsuko said, frowning slightly, and finally giving the other girl room to speak.

Victoria had been slightly disappointed that she hadn't been able to learn any actual magic yet, but she also knew she shouldn't be surprised. Of course they weren't going to let a bunch of kids wave their wands around at their own convenience. Still, she was excited they would be practicing an actual spell next week. And perhaps still a little in awe of the fact that the professor somehow made some sort of silvery dog appear. "So cool!" Vic agreed when Natsuko, that was how the girl had introduced herself during the class, came up to her to gush about what they had just seen. "It was definitely a dog. Just not, like, a real dog. Do you think it was just for show? Or would it actually have some sort of purpose?" She questioned in return, unsure what sort of purpose a dog like that might have. Still, things in the wizarding world kept surprising her so it wouldn't be strange to think the dog did have a purpose. "I'm Victoria, but Vic's fine as well." She laughed, unable not to intoduce herself in return even if Natsuko might very well have caught her name during the lesson too. "Maybe? Probably. I doubt he'd show us any type of magic we wouldn't be able to learn. It did seem a little advanced though."

Natsuko nodded enthusiastically, glad that Victoria was seemingly excited too. "Hm, that's a good question. Maybe we should ask him next lesson!" Natsuko suggested. "I wonder if everyone makes a dog, or if you could make a cat too. Or any animal!" The idea was very exciting. "It's nice to meet you, Victoria," Natsuko said politely. "Hmm, yeah, what could it's use be? Maybe to chase off sheep?" Natsuko couldn't think of any other reason. "I hope we do learn it, or it seems a bit mean to show something off we won't get to learn for years. I want to know what cool stuff I can do right now."

Victoria wonderd if the professor would have time to answer their question next lesson, but she was keen to ask him about it. Especially since she didn't think she had ever seen anything like it. Although that was an occurance that seemed to happen a lot recenly. "We should!" She agreed. The thought the idea of making a different type of animal seemed fun, but maybe that was also depended on whether the spell actually had a purpose or not. "Well if that's what it's for I'm not sure if there would be any other animals." Vic replied when Natsuko suggested ideas of what the spell might be for. "Same! That would just be rude." She nodded. What would be even be the point of showing them something they wouldn't be taught? Unless the professor just wanted to show off. "He did say to bring our wands next time, right? What spell did he say we would be doing? Maybe we can look it up!"
