One of the worst parts of having your best friend in the year above you meant that when it was your turn to take on that final year, you had to do it alone. Alex really missed Victoire, and he would be very happy when he would finally be able to graduate and be with her. Just before the end of term, he had reached out to her and asked her if she'd meet him at Obsidian when he arrived for the holidays. He knew that she was a member of the Ministry of Magic now, and he couldn't be more proud of her. He had never doubted that she would do well in the world.
Alex was doing his best to get all of his classes up to scratch, because when he left school he wanted to be able to get his Auror training underway as soon as he could. He knew that he would need top grades in his NEWts in order to even be considered, so he was doing everything he could to get them there. So far, so good, though. He couldn't wait to catch Victoire up and tell her everything about his Seventh Year. Looking into the distance he smiled to himself as he spotted Victoire walking towards him. He had no doubt that their meeting would have to be a brief one as she was probably very busy at work, but he hoped that she would be able to at least have lunch with him.
As he approached her, he gave her a bright smile! "Hey beautiful." He began, kissing her on the forehead and then bringing her in for a hug. He wished that he could be finished school already so he'd be able to spend much more time with her, but he had a feeling that even if that was true there would be a good chance that her work would get in the way of a lot of the plans he had. But he didn't mind, he wanted her to be happy, and he knew that she was doing made her happy. "How about lunch?" He asked, hoping that she had the time.
