Cassielle was born in Rimini, Emilia-Romagna. With impressive historical buildings to match its 10 miles of sandy beach, Rimini has long been a favorite among Italian coastal towns. It is Italy's biggest beach resort, known for its beaches and food. When she was six, and her older sister nine, Cassi and her family moved to Maine, United States of America. She met a local boy down the street, Timothy Sullivan. The two quickly became friends and were inseparable. At least, until her letter for Ilvermony came and his didn't.
Her life at Ilvermony was a mixed bag. She argued with her stubborn wand from the beginning, having to work harder in her schooling to make passing grades. Her work wasn't exemplary but by the time she was in the sixth year she had learned to master her wand. She made a few minor friendships throughout school, but nothing that lasted past her graduation.
Cassi tried to rekindle her friendship with Timothy for years, but the boy seemed to hate her. It wasn't until her sixteenth birthday when she saw him making out with another girl upstairs and ditching her party, that she realized he truly despised her. She pushed aside her feelings for him then, angered to have wasted so long pining away after someone she had truly trusted.
She took up martial arts classes at the age of ten, practicing and learning from her sensei when she was home, buying books, and teaching herself at school as she worked to master her craft. By the time she had graduated, she had mastered both karate and jiu-jitsu and had begun to study both Judo and Aikido.
Cassi took off shortly after her schooling ended, pursuing her craft and competing in contests around the world. By the time she was 26, she had mastered nearly a dozen forms of martial arts, dedicating herself to the craft. Her skill had become respected and she started to judge competitions as well.
Her love life was mostly non-existent, with small flings here and there but nothing lasting. The most notable, perhaps, was a weekend she had spent with a sports reporter when she was 28. Not that she particularly remembered the man, but the tryst had done something she hadn't expected- Cassielle was pregnant. Despite her rapport with her youngest nephew, Cassi was nervous. Scared, and alone, and unsure she could provide a good life for a child, Cassi reached the difficult decision of putting her son up for adoption.
