Athena had no idea who this person was and she frowned, but she entered the great hall, hoping that at least the boy was here. She shrugged, but as she tried table by table the students there gave her odd looks, to which Athena simply scoffed, and moved on. When she reached the Gryffindor table, Athena glanced at the name one more time before she approached the person who fit more or less the description she had been given. She tapped the boy on his shoulder and plastered a smile on her face, holding the candy cane in her hand as she waited for him to notice her, also hoping it wouldn't take long because she had places to be.

Alkander was enjoying his cereals while solving the crosswords puzzles of that morning's Daily Prophet when he felt a pat on his shoulders. He turned around and his grey eyes shot a bewildered look at the girl that was standing there, holding a candy cane. "Erm, hello." He flashed an awkward smile at the girl that he wasn't familiar with. They didn't share any classes as far as he could tell and Alkander thought that she was a year or two older than him. "Everything's alright?" He asked, clueless of what the girl might wanted.

When the boy turned around, Athena was glad to know she had the right person. She smiled, showing the boy the candy cane she was holding with the note accompanying it. "Oh yeah everything's great," she responded. "These are for you." She was hopeful that he wouldn't be so awkward about the cane.

Alkander hadn't expected to be offered candy by an unknown girl. The whole situation had stirred suspicion and reluctantly detached the little note wrapped with a chord on the candy cane that the stranger was holding. "Does she think I'm an idiot?" His lips quirked disbelievingly when he read the note and then glanced back at the girl. Alkander had expected from Sapphire a smarter way to strike back after the incident with the fizzing whizzbees. Regardless, he wasn't even going to touch that candy cane. "Nice try. But she'll have to try harder." He eyed dismissively the candy cane and folded the note to return it back to Sapphire's messenger.

When the boy opened his mouth to ask a question, Athena‘s smile turned into a frown. She folded her arms across the chest and looked the younger boy up and down. "Who are you talking about?" she asked drily, not appreciating being brought into whatever situation this was. "Whoever it is, you'll have to ask her yourself." She was trying really hard not to roll her eyes in annoyance.

Sapphire had been watching from her spot on the Slytherin table, eager to see Alkanders reaction. She had been a little unsure about sending a candy cane in the first place, but she had decided to go for it anyway. She grinned wickedly when the older girl came up to Alkander, but that grin was quickly replaced with a frown.

Sapph hopped up and hurried over, pushing Alkander over in his seat and snatching the candy cane out of his hand. "I'll take that." She slid in next to him and smiled at the older girl. She'd seen her in the common room so she knew she was a Slytherin, but that was about it. "Thanks for the trouble."

She turned and whacked Alkander upside the head. "Someone forgot his manners. I already told you candy is sacred. Besides," She stole a piece of food from off his plate, "How the hell would I mess with a candy cane when they're being delivered by over a dozen people to over half the school?"
