Camping

Adam was so happy that he and Shaylah were actually going camping like they had talked about. His Aunt Crystal didn't really care what he did so long as he wasn't breaking the law or anything so a camping trip with a friend had been no problem. She didn't have to know that friend was a girl, and his girlfriend. She probably wouldn't have cared either way but he hadn't wanted to explain he had a girlfriend to her either.

So he had went to his parents and gotten one of there tents. It was the first time he had been to that house for anything in years. He opened the front door of the grad estate and walked in. No one noticed he could hear them throughout the house but he didn't bother making his presence known, they wouldn't want to see him anyways. He went all the way through to the back door and made the walk to the shed he knew there was a few tents in there that they had used for camping when he was younger. He grabbed one of the better looking ones and pulled the strap on his shoulder. It wasn't too heavy, and he left. It was no big deal his parent's would never miss it and it wasn't stealing if it was family right?

So then Adam headed for the muggle camp site. Shaylah was supposed to meet him there. So he got back in his car and started on his way. It wasn't too far that's why he had wanted to drive, and it would be a nice cover for them, look more realistic. His car hardly ever got any use anymore. Atticus used to drive it when he was with the band but know he was finally old enough to drive it, he didn't use it. He pulled into the camp site and smiled, he had paid for it in advance. Another advatage from the band and hos parents he never had to worry about money. Making sure no one was watching he pulled a pin on the tent and it popped up to full size. It looked normal on the outside but as he looked inside it had a fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom. A small living room and three bedrooms. It wasn't the largest tent ever, but magic made it better. He zipped it back up and set a couple of lawn chairs already in his trunk by the provided fire pit. Then sat down to wait for Shaylah.

Shay had been looking forward to this trip for ages. She couldn't wait to have some proper time with Adam. There was always someone else around when they tried to spend proper time together but no one was going to find them when they were camping in the middle of nowhere. Plus, it was going to be the first time of them staying together over night.

Adam had told Shay he could get a tent which suited her because she didn't have one. The only one she'd ever had was the one her and her dad used to use but her mum sold that when she lived in the house. It frustrated Shay how much her mother changed the house when she moved in. It wasn't like she was the owner of the house. By rights it was Shay that had owned everything in the house so it should have been her choice whether they changed anything there. Anyway, she didn't live with her mother anymore. Thank God. Riley didn't mind what she did as long as she did all her school work and stayed out of trouble so when she said she was going camping with Adam he was fine with it. Being one of Adam's teachers meant that he knew he was a good lad who wouldn't do anything to hurt Shay.

Shaylah had Nim take her to the camp site by apparating then he apparated back to the house. She saw Adam sat outside the tent on camp chairs. She smiled and walked over to him. "Heya." She hugged him then dumped her bag down on the floor and sat on the chair. "This is going to be so much fun. It's finally just the two of us. No family, no friends. Just you and me and the horses." Shay pointed to the next field where there was six horses and two ponies. She'd always had a love for horses so she would enjoy being able to go and say hi to them every now and then if Adam was busy doing something. It would also give her something to draw.
