From the name of the city in Egypt, (al-Qahirah in Arabic) meaning "the victorious". Cairo's parents chose this name for him as Cairo, Egypt was place where they got married. Cairo does not love nor hate his name and is generally indifferent towards it, although he does get slightly annoyed when it is mispronounced. The reason he gets annoyed when it is mispronounced because he simply cannot understand how on earth it can be mispronounced. In his opinion, his name is easy to figure out because he is named after a well known city.
asher
Means "happy" or "blessed" in Hebrew. Asher in the Old Testament is a son of Jacob and Leah's handmaid Zilpah, and the ancestor of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. This name was chosen by Cairo's parents because they wanted to name Cairo after his paternal grandfather. Cairo has no particular opinion on his middle name either, however he is annoyed that he was never able to meet his paternal grandfather because Asher passed away before Rome and Cairo were born.

The twins have often been used by people due to their parents' status and as a result do not make friends with others easily.

Cairo is the taller twin, standing at nearly three quarters of an inch taller than Rome, although their height difference is only minimal and would not be noticeable unless someone was playing close enough attention when the twins are standing side by side. Generally speaking, Cairo does not care much about his height. However he does enjoy the feeling of superiority he gets when he is significantly taller than one of his peers.

He prefers the company of a few close friends, rather than the company of a crowd and eventually feels exhausted when he is around a crowd of people like he is most school days and especially during class. He can be described as an introvert, not only because he prefers to be alone or with a few select people, but also because he enjoys a quiet, indoor environment that will give him opportunities to think and read. Even when he is at Rome's side, Cairo acts like an introvert. He often allows her to take the lead and dictate his decisions while he loyally follows in her steps, never questioning anything she says. Cairo and Rome's overall dynamic rests on Cairo being an introvert, and this rarely changes although there is an odd occasion where Cairo feels as if he has enough energy to act extroverted like his sister.

Cairo's introverted actions may allude to the fact he is unsure, though in spite of what that might dictate, he is entirely confident. Cairo stands with a tall, confident stance and rarely questions his decisions, if he ever questions them at all. If Rome was not in the picture, in a way Cairo could be considered unsure, because he would not now what to do without her to lead him around and make his decisions for him. His organisation goes hand in hand with his introvertedness, his love of the quiet indoors and his calculating thought pattern.

Definitely logical. Cairo thinks constantly, and protects his emotions with a barrier. This is the reason Rome is the only person he trusts in the world, because he has been used in the past and does not intend for it to ever happen again. One of Cairo's worst memories is the memory he has in which he and Rome were told by their parents that their mother miscarried what would have been their younger sibling. He was much younger at the time but he was excited to have a new sibling to play with and to have a partner that could also be bossed around by Rome. It was heartbreaking for him to hear the news and he never likes to be reminded of that memory.

If Cairo looked into the mirror of erised, he would see himself as a scholar, alongside Rome who is happy and safe. He would also see his parents equally as happy and safe. He does not like to admit that he often worries about his family's safety, specifically Rome's safety so he would see some form of insurance that she and his parents will never be harmed while also seeing himself as successful in his own right and not because he grew up in the shadow of his parents' success.
accent
Cairo was born and raised in London so his accent is British and rather posh sounding considering the part of London where he grew up and the aristocracy of the people his family interacts with. This accent has become more muted since he has begun school in New Zealand however it is still distinctly British.

introvert or extrovert?
In comparison to his sister, Cairo is most definitely an introvert. He prefers the company of a few close friends, rather than the company of a crowd and eventually feels exhausted when he is around a crowd of people like he is most school days and especially during class. He can be described as an introvert, not only because he prefers to be alone or with a few select people, but also because he enjoys a quiet, indoor environment that will give him opportunities to think and read. Even when he is at Rome's side, Cairo acts like an introvert. He often allows her to take the lead and dictate his decisions while he loyally follows in her steps, never questioning anything she says. Cairo and Rome's overall dynamic rests on Cairo being an introvert, and this rarely changes although there is an odd occasion where Cairo feels as if he has enough energy to act extroverted like his sister.
confident or unsure?
Cairo's introverted actions may allude to the fact he is unsure, though in spite of what that might dictate, he is entirely confident. Cairo stands with a tall, confident stance and rarely questions his decisions, if he ever questions them at all. His confidence is brought on from a mix of knowing what his interests are, being sure what he is capable of, and never being away from his sister's side. If Rome was not in the picture, in a way Cairo could be considered unsure, because he would not now what to do without her to lead him around and make his decisions for him. Rome's presence also reassures Cairo enough for him to feel comfortable in his own skin whether he chooses to admit it or not. The fact is obvious that Cairo's sister plays an important role in his confidence level, though he does know that if he and Rome were not sorted in the same house he would figure out how to handle being on his own sooner or later.
cautious or daredevil?
Again, Cairo is most definitely cautious in comparison to his sister. He would rather sit back, and cautiously choose his battles depending on how they would benefit him instead jumping into everything head first. His actions are always far too calculated for him to be considered a daredevil in any form and this can be said for nearly every aspect of his life. Cairo is a thinker, his decisions are based on logic. He always has a plan and a resolve if the plan does not span out like he intended so he is for the most part the complete opposite of a daredevil no matter which way you look at it.
disorderly and messy, or methodical and neat?
Methodical and neat. Cairo is very obviously the more logical, forward thinking twin which means it is safe to say he is very organized. He enjoys keeping his belonings in certain places so he is able to find them easily, and he also keeps his belongings in the best condition they can be. Many of his books appear to be almost brand new despite how many times he has read them and his clothes are often without creases or marks. His organisation goes hand in hand with his introvertedness, his love of the quiet indoors and his calculating thought pattern.
logical or emotional?
Definitely logical. Cairo thinks constantly, and protects his emotions with a barrier. This is the reason Rome is the only person he trusts in the world, because he has been used in the past and does not intend for it to ever happen again. Protecting his emotions with a barrier only adds to how undeniably logical he is, and his logic is again only expanded by the amount of reading he does and how he views situations and considers how they would benefit him. Cairo is not without logic and he is almost constantly without emotion. The only time Cairo may show emotion is when he is around Rome and the rest of his family because they are the only people he believes he can trust and love in the world.
