Building Trusts.

Melody smiled thinly "Thanks, yeah I know" she said quietly, looking down.
"Well, I'm staying well clear of boys for a long time" she said resolutely.
The weight that had been pressing down on her for a year suddenly seemed to have been lifted. Telling Sam was the best thing she'd done in a long time. She smiled at him shyly. Her facial muscles stretched, and she realised how long it had been since she'd smiled.
"Thanks" she said again, softly.
 
Sam smiled back at Melody, knowing that he had made a friend for life. He was glad that she was smiling rather than frowning as, frowning requires 43 muscles whereas a smile just takes 15. He had found this out while reading some many books in his library at home.

"Anytime" he replied with a crooked smile "Shall we go for a walk outside or something?" he asked thinking that some fresh air would be good for them both.
