Having read his rose note over a few times, Jacob now knew it was from Jacob Two and not...well, that didn't matter. Dropping into a seat across from his Ravenclaw friend, the Gryffindor ignored everyone else, not caring if they were bothered by his presence. "So, what did you have in mind?" he asked Jacob with a grin as he grabbed a grape and popped it into his mouth. "Thanks for the rose " he added, still smiling. It had come as a pretty big surprise to him. He simply thought Jacob Two tolerated him, but the rose meant they were friends. At least, it did to Jacob.

It was still somewhat funny that there was another Jacob at the school. The name wasn't rare or special so it was possible, but it amused Jacob somehow. Jacob seated next to him and asked what he wanted to do. Stealing a grape in the process. ''No problem, we Jacob's need to spoil each other right.'' Jacob said jokingly and paused ''You supply candy canes and I do roses'' He had started to speak up more and be less absent. ''We can practice some spells we need to know?'' He didn't know how good Jacob was at them, but Jacob was just utterly bad. He hadn't even produced a light on his wand. Which was supposedly the easiest spell. The only spell that had worked was finite and that wasn't really used for anything than to cancel out magic. ''I am horrible at spells and charms.'' Jacob muttered, kind of ashamed to say it.

"That's a good deal" he nodded with a smile on his face, already planning to make this into a tradition of sorts provided the events continued. He didn't know if these were things that happened every year or just occasionally. Jacob was about to sigh at the idea of doing extra work, though it was typical Ravenclaw, when he heard Jacob continue. "Yes let's do it" he said, knowing the practice would be helpful to him as well. The eleven year old was pretty inconsistent when it came to spells. He could do them but not every time. "It'll sure beat doing potions" he added as he grabbed another grape.

Potions was fun and came somewhat easy to Jacob. He understood the theory and he liked baking, potions was baking, but with magic. If you don't measure your ingredients while baking you fail and it was the same with potions. ''I love potions, charms on the other hand is absolute horror'' Jacob muttered he grabbed a grape and bit it in it. ''There is no theory in charms, it is spirit and I think I wasn't graced with that'' So far he had managed to do Accio once and a thing that could go for a levitating spell. ''Maybe we can make another deal, Charms for potions.'' Potions were so logical and made absolute sense. Magic seemed to move and there wasn't a way to get a grip on it.

"No way" Jacob shook his head vehemently. "Nothing is worse than potions" he argued good naturedly. It wad funny that now that he was free from Pendleton's tutoring, everyone seemed willing to help. He wished he had thought to seek out his own help sooner. It would have saved him the month of doing homework in front of his mother and getting kicked out of Pendleton's office. "Ya, sure. We just need to find a quiet place" Jacob smiled. Charms and Transfiguration were pretty easy so far as long as he focused.
