"Come on Katarzyna, we don't have all damn day." Theodore thought to himself as he idly adjusted his sleeve. Doing business in New Zealand wasn't exactly Theodore's cup of tea, but if hadn't come then there would have been no way that he could keep an eye on Katarzyna. Relative or not, sometimes her antics made her hard to trust. Basically she was trouble and nothing but a liability to Theodore. Though if she kept him waiting any longer, he might just leave her to fend for herself. Theodore was tired and he felt like an idiot just standing around in the dark. Theodore finished fiddling with his sleeve and turned his head when he heard footsteps approaching the area he was in. They sounded too heavy and slow to be Katarzyna's, so Theodore was instantly on guard, even if he was really too tired to try fighting. Since he was standing atop the roof of a small building, he was able to peer down when the figure finally rounded the corner. "Well I'll be damned." It was his twin sister's husband. The same twin sister he had not seen in nearly eight years. What was Vincent doing by the boardwalk at this hour?

The inner Slytherin within Theodore wanted him to go down there and make his presence known while his lazy side told him he'd be better off spending his energy elsewhere. The inner Slytherin side won by a longshot too. Theodore almost wondered how his sister was doing as well. Almost. "It's awful late to be talking a leisurely stroll, Chevalier." Theodore muttered sarcastically as he jumped down from the building. He let his legs take in the impact before he straightened himself out and turned towards the man he had chosen to confront. He doubted that Vincent would recognize him since they had never officially met. Theodore knew who he was because he came from a family that made it a point to know who he was. At one point, Vincent might have been a threat to all of them, but Theodore hadn't heard news about neither Vincent or Alyssa, so he had no idea what kind of a person either had become. Theodore wondered if Vincent was going to think he was a threat or not, especially if he didn't know him. Honestly though, Theodore was too lazy and had no reason to be hostile with the man. So he was safe for now.

Things worked out so very well for Vincent Chevalier. Vincent quit the Aurors and now worked as a Healer. Somehow, he was happier. He would have to work harder to stay in shape, but he knew that this was the right path for his wife, and his three children. Not only did they not need to worry about losing their dad, but now he had a lot more time at home for his children. He adored them all, and was working on Alyssa to give him a fourth. What could he say, he just loved kids, and the action making the children did not make things any less desirable. So, right now, Vincent walked along the boardwalk while it was somewhat dark. It was a good hour, and he was looking for something in particular to get for his wife. Vincent had no clue that he was being watched, but he had a feeling that something was up. He was trained to be an Auror, so he still had their instincts. He almost stopped walking, so he just continued on but at a slow pace, with his bright blue eyes looking around cautiously. Maybe there was a storm coming in?

However, his instincts were right. Vincent looked to the side as a man stepped down, telling him that it is awful late to be taking a stroll. And he knew his surname. Vincent stopped walking, and he looked toward the man. He had the same hair color as Alyssa, but he knew better than to jump to conclusions. He had no idea that this was Alyssa's brother, Theodore. Vincent reached behind his head and shrugged his shoulders. "The time escapes me currently. You have me at a disadvantage. You seem to know me, or my last name, but I don't know who you are." Vincent had no feelings that this man would be a threat or not, so he figured that the man did not have any beef with him. He did look slightly younger than he did. Vincent really hoped that he was not in for a bad night. He just wanted to find something nice for Alyssa and bring it home for her. She was watching the three kids after all. She would need something to really make her night better. Three kids that had his genes and hers, well, she would need all the feelings of goodness that he could offer.

Theodore was baffled. Now he had no intentions of hurting or doing anything bad to Vincent, but the man wasn't even smart enough to pull out his wand and at least appear to be on his guard! Did he not even think about the things that could happen to him if he wasn't careful. The blonde cocked his head to the side and raised an eyebrow. "Dude, I could be planning to rob or murder you. I mean, I'm didn't have any intention to begin with, but you are like the worst potential victim ever." Well he never was a victim, but if he had been Theodore would have given up quickly. This man man either gave in far too easily, or he had other tricks up his sleeve. It was unlikely that Theodore would find them out if he did though. He had no intention of picking a fight. He was mostly just curious about the man that Alyssa had abandoned her family for. Was he really worth all the pain she suffered by being cut off from her family? Theodore lowered his head before he chuckled deeply. Just looked at him. He used to be so cruel and vicious, and how he was actually lowering himself enough to talk to this guy. What a joke!

He had never understood what drove women to do the insane things they did. Including marrying weird guys like this one. "You're weird." Theodore announced, as he unfolded his arms and moved away from the wall he had been standing by. Wasn't this man once and Auror or something? Where was the bravery and fierceness rather than rushing into trouble without even the slightest thought of the consequences. "My sister's married to a weirdo. Awesome." Theodore rolled his eyes. Maybe if he revealed that Alyssa was his sister, Vincent might get an idea. Surely his sister cared enough to at least mention him from time to time? He looked a lot like her anyways, so eventually something would click in his mind. If he still didn't figure it out after an obvious hint, Theodore was likely going to wander off without another word towards the man. People gave him such headaches sometimes. He'd come home all grouchy and then Aleyha would get upset over his drastic attitude change, and next thing they knew, Theodore would be in the doghouse. All because this man sucked at being a potential victim.

Vincent raised his eyebrow when the other man said that he could be planning to rob him or murder him. He did not have any intention to, but Vincent knew better. One could be on their guard without looking the part. Vincent folded his arms across his chest and shrugged his shoulders. Vincent decided that he should explain himself a little bit before the man jumped to conclusions about him. "My instincts told me someone was nearby, and I get the feeling that you are definitely not a threat to me. So, here I am. I have no intention of drawing my wand without a necessary cause. Otherwise, I'd look like a frightened man without any sense." After all, he used to be an Auror for a good reason. He had some scars from his time to prove it as well. He had one on his shoulder and on the back of his neck. He seen some action, but got out when he had the chance. He did not want to leave his children without a dad. He was left without a mom, and he found that to be miserable. Losing a dad may be just as bad. But, he truly felt like this man could do no harm to him unless he really wanted to.

The man called him weird, and Vincent chuckled. This was so silly. He pointed out, "You were the one following me, from rooftops no less, and you have the audacity to call me weird? You are hilarious." Vincent chuckled a little bit more, showing that he meant no harm to this. And then he said that his sister married a weirdo, which he was talking about Vincent. Judging by the age, he definitely knew who this one was. Theodore. He was married to the lunatic, Aleyha. He heard some tales about that woman, and some about Theodore himself. "You are Theodore, Alyssa's twin. You married Aleyha, and have a few kids if I'm not mistaken. Why were you following me? Do you want to connect with your sister again or just want to keep an eye on the family that we made?" Vincent was a little on his edge right now, mainly because this man brought his wife a load of pain and guilt. All because of some stupid reason. He didn't know what this man's deal was, but he was wanting to get to the bottom of it. If Theodore wanted to reunite with his sister under peaceful terms, awesome. If not, Vincent was wasting his time here.
