The first couple of weeks back had ended all too quickly for Charlotte. Upon coming back to Hogwarts for another year, she took it as a second chance to start over from last year, especially considering how upsetting that had been for her and the majority of the school. She wanted every moment to be better than the last and was not going to waste any minute of her free time. She even managed to find herself a boyfriend which slightly startled her to say the least. The Slytherin had never thought about getting a boyfriend until then, but it kind of made her feel happier somehow. James was a nice person, despite the numerous amounts of information Maddie had said about him. They weren't the closest of people but Charlotte could only hope that Maddie would be able to live with it.

The Slytherin was in a very good mood that day. She wanted to explore the castle and she hadn't done that since before Avie died. In particular, she wanted to find the hidden room he mentioned. She told him that they could look together but that was not possible now that he was gone and so she would try to look for it herself for him. The girl didn't know where to start but she did want some help. She made her way up to the seventh floor in search for the Gryffindor common room so she could find her brother. It had to be around on the top floor somewhere. She hadn't spoken much to Spencer since the beginning of the school year and she was eager to tell him all about the room and hopefully he would be able to help her find it. Charlotte skipped along the corridor, looking out for any mysterious rooms and for some Gryffindors who she might be able to ask where their common room was.

Spencer couldn't believe they were already a few weeks into the semester, everything seemed to be going by so fast and the young Gryffindor found himself struggling to keep up. He hadn't seen much of his sister since he was sorted into a different house, which was a shame but he was glad for the chance to strike out on his own, but he did miss Charlotte and had been looking forward to spending more time with her now that he was at school with her, so far that had not been the case, though he wasn't surprised now that Charlotte had a boyfriend. Spencer had seen James around the common room, though he didn't yet have a sense of what the boy was like, he hoped he would be able to get to know the boy who was dating his sister.

Bored, and with no one in the common room that he knew well, Spencer decided to head out to explore the castle. He made his way out of the common room and into the hallway. Halfway down the corridor he spotted a familiar whif of blonde hair so he quickened his pace until he was face to face with the girl. "Charlotte!" He yelled, flinging his arms around his sister. "What are you doing up here?" He asked. "Oh, are you here to see your boyfriend?"" He wondered.

Charlotte had a bit of a fright as her younger brother engulfed her in a hug, excited to see her. "Hey Spence!" she exclaimed, squeezing him back. She knew her brother had missed her and she had missed him too. Despite how much she wished they were in the same house so they didn't have this problem, Charlotte was glad that Spencer was placed in Gryffindor instead. Two Slytherins in the family would have been too chaotic and so she thought it was better this way. Besides, Gryffindor was quite a good house and she was sure he'd do well where he was placed.

The mention of James caught her attention. Did Spencer really think she'd want to go the whole semester without seeing her brother? She had seen James quite a few times lately and it just happened that this time she wasn't looking for him at all. "No, I was looking for you." she told him. "Want to explore with me? I heard that a hidden room existed somewhere in Hogwarts. I have no idea where it is, but that's the fun part, right?" Charlotte knew Spencer would not object but she still asked for clarification just in case. After all, he might have been on his way to do something more important and Charlotte really did not want to jeopardise his school life just for a small thing.
