🌹 Rose Giving Brotherly Blossoms

Gwen didn't really know her next target that well, but realized after some asking around that the boy was the Ravenclaw Keeper on the Quidditch team. Gwen wasn't a big fan of the sport, but she still knew all the players fairly well. It was important to know who was popular at school, after all. So when Gwen spotted him walking, she skipped up to him and tapped his arm. "Sawyer, right?"

Sawyer was unusually on edge this Valentine's even though he really wanted to try and relax. Things with Finn had ended over a month ago; assuming they'd ever really started, and it wasn't like he'd sent any risky roses (even if he'd thought about it), so he had no reason to jump when one of the delivery girls said his name. He tried to disguise the movement as a quick attempt to straighten out his hair, but he didn't know if it looked very believable. "Ah! Yeah. That's me, hi. Roses?"

Gwen wondered what the boy had been thinking of, as he had seemed very distracted. She hadn't exactly sneaked up on him, but he jumped anyway. She smiled. "Yes, roses." She said, holding out her basket. "Well, one rose." She said, picking up the yellow rose. "Here you go."

Sawyer gave a pinched smile, hoping he'd passably retained his composure as he took the rose. "Sweet, thanks," he said, glancing down at the note and shaking his head with a snort. "Excellent rose uh. Good job," he added awkwardly, raising the rose in a mock toast to the girl and immediately regretting it.

Gwen raised her eyebrows slightly at the boy's comment. But she smiled. "Thanks." She said, somewhat dryly. Then she brightened. "Happy Valentine's day!" She added cheerfully before walking off.
