Thomas Hensel was one of the lucky few out there picked to be a Candidate running to hopefully become New Zealand's future Minister of Magic. Losing or giving in easily was not something that Thomas knew easily as he worked extremly hard for whatever he had gained in life. This Election was going to be his life's greatest accomplishment and goal as just being considered was far more than a high honor in his books, he intended to get his message across all of New Zealand in any way possible. Thomas intended to rid the Muggles, and Muggles-Borns of having the same rights as the Pure Bloods and other magical blooded creatures living in their world since he felt that they just simply didn't belong amongst them. He was ready to defend his rights and his Platform against those who didn't agree because one thing that one must know about running in any sort of Election, there is going to be a group who just simply do not agree with your methods or ideas. Thomas was willing to convince though. He was wiling to dig deep into their minds by telling them everything he could about the real world and what changes could be made if they were to Elect him over someone else. Yes, Thomas was Prejudice but if he was elected he would be fair to the Muggle-Borns and Muggles in their world, he didn't like them but it didn't mean he was going to completely be unfair as they were human beings all the same. But there were so many reasons he was against them, but in all due time he would begin to make speeches to all of New Zealand, for now he was just going to begin by making a few public appearances here and there to meet some of the people who may be supporting him.

Thomas wasn't dressed up really extravagantly today, he would be saving that for the Speeches. Today he intended to appeal his best to those who were willing to come back and speak with him and meet him face to face or anything. It had been addressed that he was going to be out and about Brightstone Today since that was where he most often was anyways. He had a few signs with him, buttons, all the works he figure he would need to start putting his word out there. To him this was just like every other day in the Ministry, except now he had a Greater Purpose.

And Today's purpose was to meet as many people as Possible, young and old it didn't matter to him one bit. He just needed to attract the public and right now getting his name out there and winning the hearts or minds of the Public should always be ones first and biggest Goal.

Millard had taken a day away from everything to spend sometime with his wife, Noelle. The two hadn’t had much time together with their newest child, their daughter, almost a year old now. Although today they had left Peter and Charlette home with the house elf that they decided to get to help ease the burden on the two. Walking through Brightstone Village the two talked about different things, the one thing that was on the forefront of their minds was the up and coming elections. With Noelle working in the Ministry she was able to find out things about the candidates that wasn’t made known to the public just yet. Of course the Death Eaters had already had a meeting about the elections, although he hadn’t informed Noelle about it or what had happened. After hearing bits and pieces about each candidate and their speech at the press conference he could tell who he wanted to support. Thomas Hensel seemed to have the right ideas, down with the muggles and mudbloods, he was definitely the man for him and his family.

As the husband and wife made their way down the Village Noelle pointed out someone to Millard. Turning his head he saw the man that had been the topic of conversation only moments ago. Straightening himself Millard made his way over to the man with Noelle beside. “Just so you know, you have our votes.” he said to the man in a strong, sure voice. “Anyone with your ideals is alright by our book.” he added.

Noelle was so glad that she and Millard had been able to get the day off. It had seemed like so long ago that they had been able to spend anytime together at all. Ever since they reunited over a year ago now time had seemed to fly by, what with Noelle’s pregnancy, then the two re-marrying and the birth of Charlette, time was flying by and in Noelle’s opinion – too fast. As the two continued down the Village they discussed politics, something the two felt strongly about. With Noelle working in the Ministry she had of course heard a lot of things through the grapevine and in turn, shared them with her husband. The two had easily agreed on Thomas Hensel as their favourite for the position as Minister.

Along the way Noelle had remembered hearing that the candidates would be making public appearances and today Hensel was supposed to be in Brightstone. She had kept her eye out for him and true enough there he was. Noelle nudged her husband gently and nodded in the mans direction. With her arm still hooked tightly to his, she followed him over. When Millard spoke to the man Noelle simply nodded with a lovely smile on her face.

Vicky, though from a different Ministry and in the middle of wedding plans, came out to support the candidate for Minister Of Magic of New Zealand. Mrs. Bones wouldn't like him very much seeing as he was a Pure Blood supremest but Vicky would help where ever she could to help with the election. She had even gotten a handful of buttons from one of the people here that she knew and was handing them out to anyone who didn't seem to know that Thomas was going to speak here with a giant smile on her face. Politics, especially when they where going her way, where something that got Vicky glowing. She seemed almost like a different person at the moment.

Avory Zhefarovich! Oh how she loved the sound of her name now. It was, by far, the best name she had ever used. She was still trying to get used to it but a sly smirk couldn’t help but cross her lips when she heard it being said, or said it herself. To have the Zhefarovich name joined to her own was beyond an honour but because it meant she was married to her one true love, Axel, it made it even more better. With the children safe at home Avory ventured around Brightstone Village, preferring a relaxing walk instead of apparating straight to her husband’s shop. Along the way Avory saw a group of people and her very curious self looked to see what the commotion was all about. As she did she caught sight of an old face. Walking over she tried to remember the last time she saw this man, it had been a long time indeed and even then she was young. Of course she had seen that he had decided to run for Minister of Magic and of course she knew who would have her vote. “Thomas, old friend.” she greeted him, not exactly dismissing the two talking to him as she recognised the man as a fellow Death Eater. “It has been too long but I can see that you have done well for yourself and seem to be going on to bigger and better things. Be assured I will follow you every step of the way.” she told him. How could she not?

After hearing all of the introductions at the press conference, Irene had already begun to formulate her opinions about the candidates. Some she was immediately dismissing because their love for muggles was much too obvious for her to ignore. Her upbringing had created a prejudice in her that could not allow her to side with them. She was by no means as bad as her brother when it came to that sort of thing, but there was no way in Merlin that she ever would think that muggles should ever be considered worthy enough to be considered equal to wizards and witches.

There were a few others that intrigued her because even though they had preached cooperation, their ideas on muggles had not taken center stage. Those she wanted to hear more from so that she could make an educated decision. One man, however, had risen to the top in her eyes. It was Thomas Hensel. As he had spoken, she had found herself drawn into his words and everything he said seemed to remind her of how she had grown up. She had come today to hear him speak some more. She would still hear a few of the others out, but so far, he was at the top of her list.

Apparating to Brightstone, Irene saw that a crowd was already forming. She joined them and waited, eager to see what would happen next. She accepted a button from a woman who was passing them out and quickly pinned it to her shirt.

Risking his post at Hogwarts didn't come to mind when he dazzle up a big signed that read, "We want peace not Lies!" It had been his parents destiny to voice for the unspoken. To inspire, yet be unknown as unsung heros. It was the main reason why his parents weren't alive today, as lazy or nonchalant he felt, still he made an effort to do this for them. No one else was gonna speak up for those who can't take a stand to fight for what is right. Sirius made this his purpose for today. He gather up a few items to bring along to protest. His theme Robin Hood, how,d he come up with it? Well simple, a muggel fable and a little spark of magic, he was successfully able to conjure signs, buttons, anything that read, "We want peace not lies, or Team Robin Hood! Anything to get their attention he came up with and stood right before the crowds shouting. "We want peace not Lies! Don't Vote for Hensel! He's all lies! Muggels deserve the same compassion. In the end we all have the same heart beat, no ones different than anyone else!" it continued an omnipresent that kept going on, he stop however, just to hear what the man had to say.

Somebody can ward him off or something, I don't care.

Nicolas was never one for Politics at all, but when he heard a dear old family member of his was going to be running for the Minister of Magic for New Zealand he had to come out and show his support. Of course he had to admit he was also highly interested in the Snow Woman and would check her out later, well if she was running a public appearance somewhere in New Zealand but right now he was here for family and such. In a way Nicolas had to agree with Thomas' views but that was mostly because of the past they had with Muggles and Muggle-Borns. By the time he arrived he already noticed a group of people that was already getting bigger and bigger by the moment, he didn't realize there was so many people that held prejudice in this world. Then again they might have liked his other plans New Zealand if he was elected but he assumed what attracted people the most was the mention of removing rights of the others not like them, the reactions of the others running was almost priceless because they must have thought he was crazy.

"Didn't Robin Hood Rob people and wear tights?" Nicolas asked the Protester that was protesting as he walked by the man before he shook his head and went on to ignore him, Thomas didn't seem bothered by the man but instead seemed focused on the people who had come over to him. What humored Nicolas the most was that even though some people might see Thomas as a cruel man he was quite peaceful and very into meeting the people who supported him, or so it seemed. "Hey man, Congrats on making it this far." Nicolas started softly as he gave his relative a quick hug and then moved off to the side to look at some of the signs and listen as he spoke to people. Golden eyes looked around him carefully at the streets as he could only wonder if Nicolette would show her face or not. She seemed a bit concerned about this whole election thing.

Thomas was both thrilled and surprised to see that already quite a few people had shown up to see him Campaign and speak with him personally. He never realized that prejudice was such a popular topic in New Zealand as well. If someone ever wanted to get their opinions in or tell them what they really enjoyed about his Speech earlier now would definitely be the time before he got too busy, though he would always make time for the people that were supporting him because honestly without them he would be nothing. The first to approach him was a couple, a man and a woman that both looked very happy together and very Professional as well. Thomas stuck a hand out to Properly shake the mans hand and offered one to the Woman as well. "It's enlightening to see people agreeing with my opinions." He stated quickly but warmly since he may have been a bit darker but he was by no means one of the many Death Eaters out there in the world, he agreed with their ideals but he in no way would ever want to risk himself being thrown into Azkaban for displaying those belief's in the presence of people who disagreed with him. He next noticed a few other woman he did not know very well but also decided to attempt and give them just as much of a welcome greeting by offering them a handshake, they would both quite lovely looking woman too. He gave them both a charming smirk before he decided to try and greet as many others as possible.

"While I apologizing for not knowing any of your names names, I would never want any of you to be shy about asking me questions or stating your opinion. After all we are all here for the same purpose..we all agree that the Muggle-Borns and Muggles do not deserve to be out equals." He stated loudly, getting all the attention of whom he could as he once again stated his motive, to him all the other Candidate's running in the elections were just as good as he was but they all held a softness to them. A good chunk of them were running for Muggle and Muggle-borns rights as well, something that repulsed Thomas greatly. After they destroyed his world he figured they had lost their right to be respected in his books. When he heard a familiar voice he turned around and grinned at an old friend of his. He enveloped her in a friendly hug before he muttered to her that they must go out for lunch and catch up sometime. One thing Thomas was planning already was more along the lines of a community dinner for all of his supporters or people that were just curious of his motives to come to..but it was still a thought in process.

Of course he had expected someone to protest against him, but it was nothing he was worried about at all. He greeted his cousin with a hug before he turned to the crowd he had attracted and grinned at them. "Ignore the man, the fact that he's protesting means were getting to them. You all know in your hearts what you believe..stick with it and maybe we will have the fortune of going through with it someday!" With one last scoff he turned away from the Protester and began to speak more with those interested in his Opinions and such, anymore that were willing to come and talk to him could come at any time since he would probably be there all day. Why would any Wizard care about a Muggle fictional character anyways?

Allayah stood in the shadows, watching everyone going about their buisness. She had wanted to see the man that was running for minister talk about his ideals. So many people spoke about their ideals, but many people hid behind masks, not knowing what their words ment, and not believing them. Allayah didnt think he was lying.. He had this certian spark about him. And she was glad, if she had to vote for anyone, she was pretty sure it would be him.

She stepped out of the shadows, and walked up to him in strong, confident strides, her hair whipped to the side, and she looked up to him, as she wasnt the tallest wizard around. She may be short, but it didnt stop people from noticing her.
"So tell me..." She spoke to him, in a voice loud and sharp enough to cut through any convosations going on around them. As she spoke she looked to the people around them and noticed there were quite a few women.

Well why not? She thought to herself He is a handsome man, so ofcourse he could use it to get the female vote. Smart move She smirked to herself, as she started again. "So tell me, If we all vote for you, and you win, what would you do with the... muggle and muggleborn.. situation?" She spoke like the word muggle was the dirtiest word in the world. She stood strong to her Death Eater ideals, thinking that any muggleborn didnt diserve to have their magic, for it was a gift that only the pure should have. So she stood there, waiting for him to awnser, wondering if he would at all.

Another woman spoke to Thomas but her question was a bit more different than the others and that made him smirk, finally someone actually had enough guts to ask him him what he planned to do with the whole muggles and muggle born situation because he knew that was what a lot of them were here for. "Pleasure to have you here, but if I am elected as minister I plan to start off slowly as not to cause any unneeded riots or anything." It would become a huge and long business to get rid of them so it would probably take a bit longer then he liked but he wanted it to be slow and quiet and possible so they wouldn't have to worry about people getting upset about his actions. Thomas was not a fool and knew that if he tried to kill them off right on the spot he would probably become arrested himself. His golden eyes gleamed as he tried to think of an easy way to word it to the woman and all the others so they would understand what he was thinking in his mind, sometimes his ideas were a little too complex at times.

"I suppose it would all start by removing their rights, they don't deserve to live amongst us as equals anyways. Once that has been slowly but surely I will begin to remove them out of our world. No longer will they be able to hold jobs here, go to school here, just slowly wipe them from existence. Make the world forget about them. If we went straight out murdering them the whole lot of us would be arrested..unless any of you have betters ideas which I'm completely open for." Thomas stated wondering if they had any opinions to how they thought those muggle-borns and muggles should be dealt with. He could be happy himself wit h just removing their rights and treating them like dirt, but if the people wanted them to be removed then he would have to see if he could manage. This was their decision just as much as it was his.

Nastasia had been to Carrow Hall, especially to see how Vixen and Christian were faring since her departure and was delighted to see that they were flourishing nicely. It seemed to be helping Christian no end to have moments whereby he could leave for his fathers home when he chose. They were always ready to take him and even Thorine in her ghostlike form did not stop this. As she walked through Brightstone after acquiring some beautiful fabric to make some new dresses for herself she came across a crowd of people in the square. All were giving credence to the words of a tall handsome man standing before them. For a moment she was quite happy to simply walk past for the politics of the wizarding world here in New Zealand did not hold much for her, she was exempted from it however back home in Italy. She may have been a pureblood but she was also a squib and had no rights in the eyes of the wizarding world amongst her own kin.

His words startled her however and she found herself routed to the spot, turning to look up at the man who spoke. Incredulous she stared, casting furtive glances about her. How was he allowed to speak so venomously, so openly about muggles and muggle-borns? The right to free speech was alive and well of course but what scared her more than hearing the hateful words from his mouth was the fact that so many seemed to be in agreement with him.

Donya Adamo disapparated to the village of Brightstone, quaint and pathetic in its appearance she turned her haughty view to some shops before scoffing at the paltry merchandise in the windows and wondered if some half blood or mudblood owned the tumbledown looking establishments. Of course none of the buildings look even remotely bad but her air of superiority allowed her to see things only as she wished to see them. A young child runs past screaming with laughter and as he brushes past her frock she glares down at the brat and smacks him soundly across the back of his head. His mother happening upon her doing so glowers and begins to berate her, but Donya merely scoffs again. An incredulous look at the woman as she views her from top to toe before muttering in her native Italian, "patetico". Her hazel almost amber looking eyes stare the woman down as she moves closer to her. Donya is tall, 5' 9" of tanned beauty, her Amazonian like frame seems to thwart any other bravado that would otherwise spill from the mothers mouth as the Italian woman stands a good foot taller than her.

"I vuda zink vary carefully vant-a you do herre. Keepa de closer eye on yourr brrat, he-a runs about like a vild zing. Bad-a parenting!" she informed the woman as her husky voice penetrated into her. Hastily and without a backward glance the woman grabbed her child and hastily made their departure. Donya was fast growing bored and though she had arranged to meet up with Venus in the square by the time she got there the place was crowded. From the newspapers she knew that New Zealand was looking for a new minister of magic and many were on the campaign trail for this end. As she took a badge from a passing woman she looked at the writing on it 'Hensel for Minister', banners nearby read such things as 'Muggles have infringed upon our way of life too long' and 'Make the World a Better Place' she smiled liking Venus' choice of meeting place already. Moving further into the crowd all thoughts of meeting her cousin momentarily vanished. The man spoke clearly and eloquently about his desire to eradicate the muggle stench from the wizarding world and unused to such brazen but wonderful speeches in public, Donya applauded him.

"Vith theirr rrights rremoved dey become nozing morre zan ze second class citizens de should be. I vould prefer-a to give my house elf morre authorrity" she gleamed, swishing her long black hair back over her shoulder as she waited to hear more.

Venus Fiorelli waded through the crowd at the rally listening with pleasure as the man spoke. He voiced many of her own principals though even she was not as heartless as to want the total eradication of muggles or muggle borns. Dislodged from society perhaps, allowed menial jobs perhaps and most certainly not something as high standing as those in the ministry. She had not applied for a position of course but blamed all the lack of decent jobs out there on muggle borns beating her to them; the truth was a far cry when on the run she had kept such a low profile that only recently had she even begun to seek employment and even then she was not willing to do any old job. Certainly nothing behind a desk from early morning to late evening would suit her, she liked where she was at the moment. It was a small jewellers store at the end of Obsidian Harbour, her hours were flexible, her pay was substantial but the greatest perk was the discount she received on all her jewelery. There were even times the proprietor had asked her to wear certain pieces when she was out as if people would actually comment and compliment them on her, find out where she had gotten them and in turn go there to buy their jewelery. As mad an idea as she considered it to be, a few pieces had been noticed and a few customers had appeared so she knew he couldn't be completely crazy.

Today she had managed to get the day off and had been thrilled when her boss had decided to shut up shop entirely for the day as he too wanted to attend the rally. A woman stopped to offer her a badge and at first Venus merely looked at it before smirking and taking it. There was no way she would pin it to her blouse however but instead held it in her hand. Through the throng of people she waded, clapping vigorously throughout his speech absolutely delighted with the concept of no rights for the mudwallowers. It was then she heard a familiar voice speak back and walked towards it. Her cousin Donya was not far and coming to stand along side of her she could not help but smirk as she trained her gaze on the man on the platform. Thomas Hensel her only choice for the new minister.

"Ciao cugino" casting her gaze at Donya she embraced her lightly air kissing each cheek before holding tight her clutch bag under her arm. In any crowd pickpockets worked and so one could never be too careful. Speaking now in fluent Italian, her native language and Donya's, Venus leaned a little closer to the taller woman.
"It has been a long time. I was most surprised to receive your owl, surprised but happy. Is this not a wonderful place to meet?"
Where Donya was almost 6ft tall, Venus did not possess stature but had exorbitant amounts of pride, beauty and poise.

Irene smiled at Thomas Hensel as he began to speak, noting that they all had similar ideals. A small smile crept over her face. It was a debate she constantly engaged in with her cousins, who thought that there was nothing dissimilar between muggle-born and pureblood wizards. Irene thought it was blasphemy, but had agreed to disagree with her family members. She looked over at a woman who had joined the group and strolled over to the candidate to ask him a question. It was a good one and she crossed her arms across her chest as she waited for his answer.

His answer started off well enough in Irene's opinon. She quite agreed that a world without muggleborns would be a good one. They wouldn't be stealing the jobs that were meant for others, but when he mentioned the word 'murder' her heart skipped a beat. She glanced around at everyone else to see their reactions to his comment. Irene was against violence of any kind and outright murdering people was about as violent as one could get. No matter her opinion on muggleborns, she could not see herself accepting them being murdered simply because others thought they didn't belong. What really caused her blood to freeze was what might happen to people like her cousins, who were pureblood but chose to live their lives in the muggle way. Surely, they would be considered traitors to their kind. Would they be done away with along with the rest?

Thomas glanced over in time to see three more woman join the Group of already riled up supporters, all three were lovely but he had to admit that to himself that needed to focus less on how good looking some of his female supporters were and focus more on his job. One of them looked a little out of it or worried for some reason but he gave her a reassuring smile before he turned his attention to the other two woman who seemed to be a little bit more into his speech and such. They didn't look like they were from around here but he could never judge because he wasn't sure of people and their backgrounds, he himself was from Russia but had lived in New Zealand most of his life, they could easily have lived through the same situation. their accents were different too but that didn't stop Thomas from being intrigued.

"Exactly miss. What she said was true, why allow them to have the same rights as us when they are indeed not like us? They are a danger to us, they could expose us, as long as they exist amongst us the attacks and the hatred will only grow." Thomas greeted the woman who had spoken with a small smile as he held out his hand to shake hers, he loved it when people agreed with him and even more when they stated their opinion to him. Thomas was proud of New Zealand, he had faith that they would bring him far. And he would not disappoint them.

Donya turned at the sound of her cousin and air kissed her in return before smiling in agreement. This was a wonderful place to meet up, a rally promoting pureblood rites and denigrating muggles and muggleborns! Here she was sure that she would meet a few decent eligible purebloods at least, it was after all one of her reasons for coming all this way. Pickings in Italy were slim now and she felt as if her biological clock was fast running out. She wanted her pureblood line to continue but was too fussy in her choice of man. There had been a few pureblood males back home but she had no intention of marrying a 60 year old or hitching herself to a gay 27 year old just for the sake of it. She wanted a proper man, a decent one and judging from what she saw around her at the rally, New Zealand was ripe for the picking.

Her attention moved back to the speaker Thomas Hensel and she smiled in his direction as he came to her and held his hand out to her, her own soft elegant hand that had not seen an ounce of work in her entire lifetime slid gently into his.
"Id is de plasure to meet vith you" she told him in her broken English, promising herself that she would root out a spell to aid in her English pronunciation at least. Holding up the badge she had taken earlier she regarded him a moment.
"If I had a vote herre, I vould most certainly vote forr you" being an Italian citizen she seriously didn't think she had any right to vote here, which was a shame as she could not help regarding him from head to toe.
"So if I can-a help in any otherr capacity, I voud be honoured to help your cause."

Donya had been given the position of babysitter when they were much younger, there was a good ten years between them but that never bothered the cousins. They loved and admired one another greatly and were as close as sisters perhaps more so. In her bid for freedom from Italy to escape the Italian death eaters, it had been Donya who had come to her aid. So now as she stood beside her cousin she could not help but wonder at her reasons for coming to New Zealand. Her cousin was beautiful and could get any man she wanted, but the blood line did have to be maintained and she was just as bad as Donya for not 'making do'. There were no second bests in either of their books.

A half blood certainly would not do, not even if love came into the equation. With a smile she witnessed the exchange between her cousin and Thomas Hensel before holding out her own hand to him.
"I however do have a vote and will be putting it to good use" she smiled at him, her own broken English not nearly as bad as her cousins. Time spent in New Zealand had made sure of that.

Thomas raise an eyebrow at the women two who were speaking to him, the one who had more of a foreign accent seemed increasingly interested in him. He figured it was a good thing but since he had only been married once and that was almost more than eighteen or so years ago so he wasn't very informed on what woman did these days. Grinning sly he couldn't contain his curiosity anymore. "Excuse me ladies, but what are your names?" They were both interesting and like said before he liked to get to know the people who supported him more, if he knew their names, their wants from him and such he could serve them as their minister better if he was indeed elected. A few more people had come over to support him and such and he greeted them with quick handshakes and smiles before he turned his attention to the woman once again.

Essie had returned for a short while to see how The Gables was being kept and to check of course on Harrison and Andromeda. She came back to New Zealand in the midst of its electoral campaign for minister for magic and on that she had plenty to say. Her allegiance was firmly with Felix, the only one she considered appropriate for the job and this view was cemented when she chanced upon a rally of sorts led by Thomas Hensel. She was furious with the man for expounding his pureblood ideals like dirty laundry in public.

"Disgraceful" she called out, very nearly spitting it out as she spotted him in the crowd, "you should be hexed for these awful views. We do not live in the dark ages any longer Mr. Hensel or have you not realised this? We do not need the ideologies of Tom Riddle a half blood shouted from the roof tops. You will not be getting my vote!"

Donya smiled at him, the man was ruthlessly gorgeous and was obviously liked by his supporters. She could not see what was not to like about him but knowing full well that men like this were always spoken for, married, taken in some way she watched as he shook the hands of others. Wishing that whoever he was with would drop down dead and fast!
"I am Donya Adamo" she told him, her beautiful accent punctuating her name as if she were caressing it. Donya was as bad as Venus for coveting her looks, name and pureblood stature. Yes she was vain but felt she had every right to be. Her almost golden hazel irises smiled delectably at him a moment longer before the brash voice of a heathen spoke. Turning her head to look at the shriveled up old lady, Donya wanted nothing more than to hex her on the spot but waited instead to see how Thomas handled the situation.

Venus smiled warmly at the man and introduced herself politely before her own head turned at the sound of the old woman. Her haughty gaze ran the length of her before glaring and muttering something extremely impolite in Italian under her breath. Turning back and attempting to ignore the foolish old bag she smiled once again at Thomas Hensel.
"It is a shame that your security had not been able to prevent such riff raff from attending your meeting".
