Ostensia Romanes shoved aside some of her long blonde hair and scoped the busy street of Obsidian Harbor for some place to go or for something to do. Since the break up between her and Damian, she found it hard to get out as much as she used to. Mostly because the very sight of other couples hand in hand and so in love literally killed her inside. Ostensia hated to admit it to herself, but she was one of those people that not only liked being in love, but liked being around people in general. Ostensia was not the kind of person who would enjoy living all by herself for a long time. Right now the thought of getting her own place was killing her. Who would she talk to when she got lonely? "I could get a cat! Awh but cats hate me." Even getting a pet would likely be more of a hassle to Ostensia than it would be helpful. Ostensia really loved animals, but they seemed to hate her. Especially cats for some reason. Ostensia allowed her short legs to take her in whichever direction they so chose to, as long as it made her stop thinking about Damian. Ostensia had heard through the grapevine that he had moved on with some other girl. There was no proof of this rumor, but even the smallest thought of it made Ostensia frown. This wasn't working. "Maybe some food..." Ostensia resorted to the forbidden f word. Although Ostensia somehow magically seemed to avoid gaining weight whenever she binged, she knew eating this much food couldn't be good for her. "Small cone with chocolate please." A small ice cream cone couldn't hurt too much though could it? Hopefully not because Ostensia was going to eat the chocolately goodness either way.

The blonde brought the cold treat to her lips and had a taste. Ah it was like heaven! "I wish it were legal to marry chocolate." Ostensia muttered to herself as she took another taste. This hit the spot! Her lips curled up into a soft smile, and Ostensia was on her way once again. Maybe a little shopping would lift her spirits. Moving on wasn't going to be easy, but Ostensia knew it was what she had to do. There was no use in chasing after someone who didn't want her like she wanted them. The cheerful blonde that everyone once knew, would make a return very soon. Osa could feel it in her bones. Dozens of shops and sales caught her eye as she passed each shop. But Ostensia wasn't sure exactly what she was looking to buy or do yet since there was so much to do and so little time for it to be done. It would probably be a lot more fun if she had someone to hang out with, but Ostensia couldn't complain. At least she had a nice day to enjoy whether it be alone or with a friend. Being alive and happy was the most she could hope for right now, because she had nothing else left at the moment.

Chayton had managed to find himself an apprenticeship. at a muggle mechanic. it was hard work but it was what he enjoyed and it got him out of the house. it had been awkward at first being so tall compared to the rest of the employees, they had looked at him odd causing him to almost quit. that was until his dad said maybe he could try somewhere else and use the potion. and he realised that he could either hide like he always had done. use the potion that made him light headed or try and see if they would get used to him. he had said it was a medical condition that had made him nine foot tall, and although he could tell some of them were not sure what to make of it after a few months they could see he was skilled and let him be, sometimes asking for a hand moving things or lifting things from high places.
Today he had a day off and had decided to visit the lovely country of new zealand. this was always awkward for him. that was until he had made the fireplace in his new flat bigger and found that the leaky cauldron had a fireplace large enough for him to use. and what was better was the bar man didn't mind.
he was walking down obsidian harbour his eyes distracted by the boats on the water. maybe he could have a go at sailing one day, maybe it was a similar skill set as mechanics. as he was wondering this he didn't notice a blond girl in front of him. causing him to walk into her. "I am really sorry miss" he said apologetically not realising that she was one of his former house mates. he slouched slightly as if expecting the girl to shout at him for being an oaf or something. which was what he was expecting as although a year at Hogwarts had worked wonders for the part giant. yet it still hadn't undone all of the effects of six years of orion academy when he had been the main target of bullies and taunts.

Ostensia was nearly finished with her ice cream cone already. Granted, it was a small cone, the petite blonde downed it in nearly minutes. "I feel so fat." The blonde confessed to herself as she took the last bite and finished the ice cream cone off. Now that her stomach was full and her chocolate craving was gone, Ostensia felt like she could focus on shopping a little bit more. There were some really cute shirts and dresses that Ostensia wanted to try on at least. Maybe if she changed her style up a little bit, she would feel a lot better in her own skin. It was weird how clothing could do that sometimes. Hell, even something as small as a new pair of socks seemed to do wonders in Ostensia's mind. Ostensia wasn't the type of person to spend money often, which is probably why it made her feel so much better. It was one of those rare luxuries that she used to spoil herself with. It was a lot better than some of the things she could be doing and Ostensia knew that. Thankfully no one seemed to really harp on her about it either, so it couldn't be that bad of a distraction method.

Ostensia yelped when she felt herself collide with someone. It was really sad that this has happened more than once. Ostensia has run into countless amounts of people without meaning to, mostly due to her not paying attention to where she was going. However, how much could she also blamed when the other person had just as much of a chance as she did to move out of the way before there was a collision. "Oh it's oka-whoa....you are really tall!" Ostensia's mouth fell open in shock. Although the boys face seemed really familiar to her, she was so distracted by the fact that he was so tall. Ostensia quickly suspected him to be a part-giant or something, but she couldn't be dead sure. Not that she had a problem with them either. Carefully, Ostensia pulled herself back up into a steady standing position and let her light blue eyes travel up his tall figure. He must think of her as a little mouse or something. "Oh..sorry for staring." Ostensia flushed as she realized that her staring at him like that might have been viewed as rude in his books. Ostensia knew she wouldn't appreciate it if someone continuously stared at her like that either.

Chayton felt bad that he had caused the girl to fall over. i am verry sorry, it was all my flat I should watch where I am going" he said offering her a hand up. It was then that he saw her face properly. It was familiar. And so was that expression on it. The kind of expression that said the looker hadn't seen a part giant before. He didn't say anything to her comment about being tall as he didn't know what he could say. Instead he just waited knowing that usually people stopped. A d it was quicker in the wozardi g world than the muggle one. Eventually she did. And appologised for starring. "that's okay. I'm used t it he said slightly mumbling as he spoke. He didn't particularly like it and as she stared he could feel himself blush but it was something that he had gotten used to.
it was then that he realised where she was familiar from. " were you the head girl at hogwarts New Zealand last year?" he asked. Although he had only been at the school for a year. And spent most of his free time with madlyn or sitting somewhere alone he did recognise the head girl as the girl had also been in his house after all. He was pretty sure it was her, Oksana or something similar.

He should have watched where he was going? Ostensia raised an arched eyebrow at his statement. "To be honest, you're pretty big, so I don't really have an excuse for not seeing you." Ostensia took his hand and allowed him to help her up. A part of her honestly was surprised that she hadn't seen him before they collided. Her mind had been pretty much filled with sawdust since the day she and Damian split up. Ostensia felt bad for embarrassing the poor boy. Of course he would have gotten comments about his height often, it was one of those things that was a bit harder to miss. Ostensia knew she would like it if someone made fun of her because of something she couldn't control. Like the funny way her eyebrows were shaped, or her annoying laugh. Ostensia paused when the boy asked whether she was the Head Girl last year. The memories came flooding back to her in that instant, and finally, she knew who this boy was! "Yeah I was! I remember you too! You're Chayton At...well I can't remember your last name. But I do remember that you were a Hufflepuff, and you were pretty close with Madlyn!" Ostensia grinned, wanting to high five herself for being able to remember Chayton. Especially since they barely spoke to one another. Ostensia had to admit that school had kept her busier that she ever wanted to admit. Which meant that she didn't have a lot of time for friends or other students. It's a good thing he doesn't remember Damian either." He had only been there a year, so he wouldn't know who he was, which also meant that he couldn't ask about him or why she wasn't with him right now. Ostensia did have to wonder if Chayton and Madlyn were still as close as they used to be though. Two giants together was pretty cute.

Although Ostensia had said that it was just as much her fault as his. he till thought that it was his clumsy self, and she was just trying to make him feel better. he moved slightly to the side out of the general flow of people along the street as a lady pushing a pram tried to get past tutting under her breath he didn't like being in the way of people though he seemed to be a surprising amount of the time. Or maybe he was just being a little paranoid.
He was surprised when Ostensia did recognise him. they had been in the same house for a year but he had always been too shy to socialise with many people. "that is me. Chayton Ateara, Usually i go by the name Chay. you are good at remembering things. you are Ostensia romance correct?" he said. he was pretty sure he had the correct but just checking. "how are you?" he asked deciding that he may as well start a conversation. he hardly had any friends, or at least hardly any friends he kept in contact with. he only really stayed in contact with two people. Madlyn of course, he saw her often, most days they were still going strong as a couple even though he still thought that she was far too good for him. He also tried to catch up with sapphire every now and then too, though it didn't always happen.

Ostensia felt pretty bad that it had taken her so long to remember that this Chayton was actually was a classmate of hers, especially when he seemed like he was one of those kids that would be harder to forget. Then again, the past couple of months had been very rough on Ostensia and because of that she seemed to forget a lot about who she was and the people she used to call a family. "I'll be honest, you're pretty easy to remember, with your height and all. Plus we were in the same house together and stuff." Ostensia didn't want to lie. At first, she had no idea who he was. At least in the end she was able to, and that was seemingly all that mattered to the blonde. Romanc-oh did you mean Romanes? Yeah I'm Ostensia Romanes. Feel free to call me Osa though!" She felt like being called by her nickname would make Chayton feel more comfortable around her because it was less formal. When Chayton asked how Ostensia was, she paused and bit her lip. How was she? What a question to be asked. Ostensia wasn't sure if she wanted someone she barely knew to know all about her and Damian's big breakup, and how it was killing her inside. Then again, he also didn't know Damian so it might not be too much of a problem. If her memory served her right, he had transferred into Hogwarts after Damian had already Graduated. Feeling a bit safer with her personal life, Ostensia decided she might as well fess up. "To be honest...not so great. After I graduated, my boyfriend broke up with me, and I'm still hurting over it. I had this dream of opening a flower shop too, but my passion kind of died for it. So now...I'm kind of stuck wandering around trying to find where I belong." Ostensia was sure that she was red in the face now. "What about you? How have you been?" Ostensia hoped that he was doing better than she was. Surely not everyone had to be as depressed and lonely as she was right now.
