Brightening my day.

Sam was cooking-as usual. Cooking always seemed to be the one thing which kept her stress levels down. She had managed to get both the babies to sleep and they were now in the double pram by the window. She turned her head when she heard Woody talking. She walked over to him and hugged him before looking at the girl he was with. "It's lovely to meet you Maya. If you ever need somewhere to go, you're very welcome here." Sam didn't know exactly who Maya was but she was a friend of Woody's and that was all that mattered to her.

Maya held onto Woody as they apparated out of Brightstone. She didn't let go once she felt her shoes touch the floor. Just only when she let Woody guide her to the kitchen. It was a very normal but lovely home. But Maya felt the stress of the woman cooking. Must be hard being a mother of twelve. Maya didn't even think of having children, especially 12, how did she do it. "Ah nice to meet you as well. And thank you for that offer" even though she will never take it. Maya was happy with her mom but soon she will be moving out. She hadn't figure out yet if Salem was were her first apartment would be. She thought of Scotland and maybe even London. Really she wanted to move to Ireland. "I heard so much about you. You have a lovely home-" Maya said it like she was trying to conversate with Woody's mom. She was a very pretty woman.

Sam looked up at her son. "What's the trouble maker been saying then?? All good I hope." She smiled and looked back down to Maya. "Thanks you. I like it as well. It can get a bit crampy sometimes-like christmas day for instance. There was people everywhere. Go in the living room and you wouldn't be able to move." Sam loved christmas because she had an excuse to do more cooking but everyone brought round their friends and the house ended up looking like a farm. "But, yes, I do love living here." Sam had been thinking about going and visiting Sydney at some point. There were lots of good memories of her and Dervish there and she needed time away from the kids. It was difficult finding the time for it though. "So where do you live then?? You don't sound like you live round here. Your accent is different." She wasn't an expert on accents but Maya's didn't sound like a New Zealand accent.

Maya smiled as she listen to the woman describe her favorite holiday. Christmas was always a good holiday for anyone, when she told Maya how crowded it get, Maya chuckled. "That's sounds very nice, its just me and my mom for the holidays. But sometimes we like to volunteer for those unfortunate than us" it was more like Gwen idea than Maya. After doing it for some many years it began to be rewarding. She didn't tell just anyone this information, it was always complicated when you go to know Maya. She will only share what she wanted to share and it was always depending on the person. "I'm from Salem, I'm from the States" she said simply. "I know its simple accent but you can tell" she grinned nodding.

Sam smiled. "That sounds amazing." Her eyes kept flicking between Maya and Woody. "Now, are you two staying here for tea or is that less food that I have to cook??" She hoped they were staying. She wanted to cook them tea and she wanted to get to know Maya more. She seemed to be a very nice girl. She wished the girls in the family were more like Maya. Odette was a complete get around and a drunk, Anamaria was moving between brothers ad best friends, Stacy got married to a guy she didn't even know and Angelica was flunking at HNZ.

"Yeah sure if Woody don't mind" she looked towards Woody and smile. She didn't mind spending one afternoon with his mother and family. "I don't care either way. I'm kind of free today anways" she shrugged as she walked besides Woody mother and stood looking around. "Is there anyway I can help you?" she asked her. Maya did cook for Woody once, as a gesture of friendship. But now that they were together, she guessed it met more. Or did it not? She couldn't say now, but Woody was beginning to grow on her more and more. Now that they've expressed each other feeling from one another, she wanted to know about her mysterious boyfriend. "So Woody? What was he like growing up?" she asked in a teasing tone, Maya knew he was there and that is why she asked. She wanted to know what Sam would say. If she was one of those mothers that came out with the embarrassing pictures or if she was the other type. Maya grinned mischievously just thinking about it.

"No it's ok." Sam smiled. "Cooking helps me. The more there is the happier I am. It probably sounds odd as you've only just met me but that's just the way I am." Sam didn't know how much Woody had told Maya about the past few months so she didn't want to mention anything. "He was a very nice, smart child but very difficult to get to. If I told him off, he wouldn't think anything off it and he would just do the exact same thing again." Sam smiled. "Then, of course, he dragged David into his little plans and I'd end up having to ground the both of them." She knew Woody and David very well. She knew how David was more likely to behave himself but as the two boys were twins, at the time, they did everything together. Of course, now that David was married, the two of them weren't around each other as much. "Who do you live with?? Or have you moved out??" She moved her eyes away from Woody and kept her full attention on Maya.

Maya held in a giggled listening to Woody's mischievous days. She expect that from him, he look like the type to like trouble. Which is what Maya attractive to, and those humble one. She loves the ones that look defeated. It drives her mad but she can't ever resist the lost souls one. After she finds them, she would more than likely care for them. She wonder, she looked into the distant in sort of a daze like trance. She missed a lot what Woody's mother was saying, by the end she looked up. Maya caught the last of her sentences, it was a question directed towards her. "No I haven't moved out yet." she found that a bit personal but she did ask about Woody so she spelled the beans about her situation. "I'm my mom only child, so I'm not sure if its necessary to move out" she shrugged a little while brushing her hair back, passing her lacey fingers through her hair. "I also own a shop in Salem and co-own with my mother. My home on top of the shop so its easy for me- " she halfy smile while fiddling with her fingers in front of her now.

Sam would never have gone back on her choice to have lots of children. She found them the most amazing things ever. "If it's just you and your mum then the two of you are probably more like friends than mother daughter. Am I right??" Sam had only ever once had a time when it was just her and her mum and it was like the mother/daughter thing flew out the window. They were suddenly best friends. "It's good that you're going out into the world while you're still young. I can't persuade Woody to get a job and move out. David's done it so I don't know what's stopping Woody." Sam shrugged. For twins, the boys could be very different to each other. "Which school did you go to??" Sam was definitely the kind of person who didn't hesitate to ask questions. Answering them was different but then that was expected from someone who married a death eater.

"Well I wouldn't say that he doesn't have a job. He's been helping me somewhat in my shop in Salem" Maya said jumping to Woody defense. She was sure putting him down and Maya didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. "Actually its sort of like that, but my mom been busy now that I'm old enough to run the shop alone" it was more like vacation for Gwen. But she wasn't just lazing around on any old island. Gwen still visit her father Allen, but she been searching on new products to bring into the shop. She just haven't found what interest her the most, so Gwen been very well busy as Maya and Woody. "I'm sorry I wasn't aware this was an interview" Maya stood up looking distant. She came out a little rude saying that but Maya wasn't one to hold her tongue. "Ummm Woody, think I will be seeing you around" she said stopping at each word before she finished.

Woody watched as his mum started questioning Maya. He couldn't stop her as this seemed to be the way she reacted to everyone new in the house. It was just the way Sam was. His jaw dropped slightly when Maya said about it not being an interview. He had never seen anyone stand up to his mum like that except his dad and that wasn't very often. Even Dervish used to bow down to Sam. He stopped Maya in her tracks as she went to walk out the door. "Hey, do you want to go to my room?? Dave's moved out now so I have it all to myself." Woody wasn't used to having his own room. He had always shared it with Dave and sometimes Junior. He suddenly had loads of room all to himself and he wasn't used to it.

Maya hesitated for a bit, she felt kind of bad for coming out like that to his mother. When he stopped her before she left, her lips parted as she questioned herself a little. She wanted to reject the offer but he did just say he loved her not to long ago. She couldn't be a snot nose girlfriend, so she slowly nodded. "Sure as longs its your room" she dare not look back at Sam. She felt a little embarrassed being there in the first place. After what she did, who could blame her.

Woody smiled and led her up to his bedroom. It was tidy for once as it had just ben re-done so they could get all of Dave's stuff out of here. Usually the floor would be hiding under piles of junk. "Voila. My bedroom." He grinned at her. It wasn't an amazing bedroom but it suited him fine. "Make yourself comfortable. Anywhere and everywhere." He laughed slightly and sat on the end of the bed. His room felt oddly spacious now that half the stuff was gone but he liked it more.

Maya predicted his room just as she saw it. It was ordinary but yet original. Woody style, something she hadn't seen until now. "Its awesome" she complimented with a half-smile. Something you rarely hear her say but it was pretty cool. She laughed a little walking around taking it in more now that she could make every aspect of the room. She sat down on the end of the bed, looking towards Woody after she observed his room. "I see you like music?" she said while folding her hands upon her knee. She wasn't sure if she was appealing to Woody, or if she was aiming to get his attention more. She hope the way she was sitting would attract to him, she was still trying to reminisce the kiss they had shared earlier. It came into mind quickly and made her blush a little as she rounded one of her leg to the side. "Ever thought of moving out finally?" she asked him.

"I've thought about it." Woody shrugged. "I just never wanted to abandon Dave. Now he's married and moved out but I'd never be able to hold up my own house when I don't earn any money." He smiled at Maya. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her. She was too beautiful. He still didn't understand what he felt for her as he had never had it before but he knew what it was. Love. He'd spent most of his life as a player and now he'd been caught and couldn't get free. One thing he did notice was that he didn't want to get free. He was happy trapped as long as Maya was there.

Maya smiled as she tilted her head to the side; she understood completely how that was. Edging closer now sitting next to him, she laced her arm with his while leaning onto him. "Well if it helps you know your always welcome to stay with me" she said while looking at him. She took this chance now to grace with with a kiss. It was unexpected but her eagerness got the best of Maya. She liked kissing him, it was sweet when their lips met. It just met she couldn't stand but kiss him more.

Woody felt comfort in having Maya lean on him and his smile extended when she kissed him. He wrapped his arm round her to pull her close and kissed her back. "I'd love to stay with you." He pushed some hair away from her face and stroked her cheek with his thumb. "You're beautiful." He couldn't stop himself from saying it but once it was out, he knew it was a good thing. She was beautiful and he couldn't stop thinking about the fact.

Maya blushed but she lean in more to kiss him. She hadn't heard those words in a while so of course she was going to fall for Woody charm. "And your deviously handsome" she said with a giggle, her cheekbone raised so high because of the smile she display for him. "I just want to make you happy" she collided her arms around his neck, and began to deeply kiss him without holding back any longer. It was a little off for her to say, but now that she was with Woody she didn't care anymore. She wanted to love just as he loved her. "Think I can make you happy?"she asked him.

Woody's arm wrapped tighter around her and pulled her even closer than she already was. It was almost like she was a drug which he was addicted to. He couldn't get enough of her. "I'm happy just from the sound of your voice. I'm ecstatic when I'm near you." He laughed and kissed her; long and deep and irresistable. He loved the way he was feeling and he wanted it to continue forever more.

Maya blushed, her eyes flutter as she stared back at Woody. Her face was already lit a crimson blush, when she kissed him again. She softly whisper, "You think we should stop?" she had to ask in respect it being his mother house. Though she wouldn't have mind to continue whatever is they were aiming for. Its been almost a year since she acted this way, might as well have fun with her boyfriend. "Or go elsewhere" she suggested with a sly smirk, while her hands brush along the back of his neck. He felt nice just being pressed against her, Maya wasn't sure if she could take it any longer.

Woody could feel the curves of her body fitting next to his like two pieces of a puzzle being fit together. "I vote go elsewhere. I don't know about you but I don't feel like having my brothers listen at the door every two seconds." Woody had heard Steve and Nick listening at the door and now he heard them running back down the hall to their bedroom. "Top ten reasons why I don't like living here." Woody laughed and stroked her cheek. Privacy was a big loss in the house as if you were lucky enough to have a room of your own, you ended up having people barge in uninvited.

Maya laid down and nodded understanding. Laying her head against the pillow she let Woody stroke her cheek till she fell asleep. Its been a long and tiring day for her. Moving and looking around for a place was tough. She hadn't told Woody she was moving, it was her little secret. She wasn't sure if she was going to tell him, if it was even worth her time telling him. Woody didn't seem like he wanted to move or anything, he was much into living with his mother and Maya didn't want to mess that up. She slept away until hours later, when she woke up, declaring she had to go. "Mom will be waiting for me" she said yawning fluttering her eyes open.

Woody smiled as he watched Maya fall to sleep. She looked so beautiful and peaceful in a world of her own. It was like she was a completely different person. When she woke up and said she had to go, he shrugged and grinned. "I could go with you?? Gets me out the house after all. If you don't want me to, I'm fine with that. Just say. But the offer's there for you if you want it." He kept his eyes in her, waiting for a reaction.

"Sure!" Maya felt a little guilty for sleeping on him, so without standing up they apprated out of New Zealand. She had her mind set on her apartment, wanted to go to Salem as well, only to apparate inside her apartment.
