Unfortunately, they also meet a shady stranger who follows them until they finally reach the safety of Sabrina Emmerich, a kind young woman who walks them back to their homes. Out Of The Shadows Bridget meets Lorin, Alison, Etienne and Ethan in an ice cream parlour. They all begin chatting, though it is apparent their personalities are all vastly different. It could be interesting! Family Tradition Bridget finds out that her family have a long history of mental disorders. She meets up with her Brother who asks her to try and be like them, to follow in their footsteps. She angrily denies, as she can see how stupid her brother is being. Bridget has an attitude which can be confusing to many people. Though on her outer shell she
appears a strong, confident girl, inside she is feeling much different. Her pride, however,
would be dented should she admit such a thing in public, and therefore people do not know of
these feelings. She is, in fact, a very fearful girl. Many things scare her, and it is common for
Bridget to find herself panicking over silly things which are of no danger to her. Luckily, despite
her lack of self confidence, she does not take out her feelings on others. Some would bully to
feel as though they were more powerful/important than they really are, or to make them feel
better. Bridget, however, is the complete opposite. In fact, one of the things she fears
is being bullied. She knows she is vulnerable to this and tries to keep a brave face. If she acts
as though she is bold, people will be less likely to bother her.
Though she has not had much of an opportunity to know boys yet, she will probably grow up to
be a fairly shy girl when it comes to relationships. She would not be the first to make a move,
or ask anyone out on a date. In fact, she would rather grow up lonely than ask someone out.
She fears rejection, the same kind she received from her Father.
Despite being such a fragile, fearful girl, Bridget is fairly active and sporty. When she attends
Hogwarts, she would enjoy playing Quidditch, so long as she can overcome her fears and
get on a broom. At the moment, she enjoys Muggle sports such as football, however not many
Wizards and Witches know about this and therefore she often finds herself playing alone. She
likes to make herself believe she would not like the company of someone else anyway, however

A rather contradictory trait Bridget has is that she is realistic. Though when she is fearing
things herself she cannot see the realistic side to things, she can usually help a friend who
cannot solve a personal crisis by helping them with her down to earth attitude. However, this
also makes her rather a hypocrite for not taking her own advice.
Bridget is a very fragile girl. Anything traumatic tends to leave her broken for a long time.
For example, upon finding out her family had a history of mental disorders, even going into a
daydream can cause her to panic uncontrollably. Her level head would come in handy here,
and it is unfortunate that she cannot use it for her own problems. This fragile state of mind
can cause many problems in her life/will cause problems in later life.

It reminds her of the pale blue sky in Autumn, being outside and having happy memories
with her Mother.

She enjoys building leaf piles, raking them up, generally exercising in Autumn and the
dew on the grass in the mornings.
Favourite Place: Outside, with friends
Bridget likes being by a river, however anywhere with her friends is a good place for her
to relax. She loves the outdoors and is definitely miserable when confined indoors.
Favourite Number: 11
It is the age she will be when she gets her Hogwarts letter, and she cannot wait.
Favourite Food: Hash browns
It reminds her of her Mother's cooking on cold Autumn/winter mornings. It is a very
comforting taste for her and brings back good memories.
Worst Colour: Green
To Bridget, green is a very jealous, intimidating colour. It does not make her feel
comfortable and reminds her of all the things she hates the most.
Worst Season: Summer
She hates the heat of the summer, much preferring the cool and chilly mornings in
winter/autumn.
Worst Place: Confined indoors
Bridget becomes very claustrophobic and distressed when she stays indoors for a long
period of time. It makes her feel trapped and uncomfortable.
Worst Number: 6
For some reason, it reminds her of 666, the devil. For this reason, she not only hates
the number 6, but also fears it slightly too.
Worst food: Fish
Bridget hates the taste of fish, despite her Mother's attempts to make it grow on her.
She has hated it since she was very small.
Fears

[li] Being bullied. She believes that if she shows people how she really feels, she will
be bullied and ridiculed in front of the people that care about her, and that they will
not longer like her or accept her.</LI>
[li] Being alone. Bridget needs the company of others. Without it, she becomes
uncomfortable and upset. She is a very social person.
[li] Enclosed spaces. When faced with the prospect of being indoors for a long time,
Bridget can feel very overwhelmed. She often panics when stuck in tight areas
(elevators, etc).
[li] Embarrassing herself. Again, she feels that her friends will stop liking her if she does
something embarrassing, such as show herself up or admit that she has fears.
[li] Upsetting others. All Bridget wants to do is make her friends happy. Therefore, if she
accidentally hurts someone, she feels extremely guilty and upset. She will, however, do her
best to correct her mistake and make things right again. She does not just walk away
from the situation.
[li] Losing control of her mind. As her family has a history of mental disorders, Bridget is
afraid of inheriting something that causes her to lose her mind. She likes to be in control
of her feelings, and the thought of them controlling her is extremely scary, to the point
where it is on her mind most of the time.

Strong points

[li] Down to earth when helping friends. Bridget is awful at realising she is over thinking
things when she has problems of her own. However, faced with a situation where a friend
is thinking things a little too well through, she can easily calm them down and show
them that they are being irrational, without being rude. It would be great if she could
use this talent to deal with her own fears, too.
[li] Athletic. Though not really a strong point, she feels she will get through Hogwarts
a lot better being of an athletic build. She will have fun playing Quidditch, even if she
does not do particularly well in other subjects.
[li] Ability to help others. Bridget has a charm with her friends. A way of making them
feel better even when they're at rock bottom. When her friends need her, she will cast
aside all of her own problems to help them.
[li] Patient, understanding. It is a trait she picked up from her Mother, who was a
Hufflepuff. She was very understanding, and Bridget loves the fact she inherited
this.
[li] Bravery when confronted with the following:
[li] REAL danger. People/creatures who are of a real threat. She gains a sudden confidence
boost when faced with these situations. She is not sure where it comes from, though
wishes she could feel it more often.
<LI>[li] Bullies (who are bullying others). As she fears it herself, Bridget will stand up
to those who bully others. It is one of her pet hates, and she does not hate many things.

Aspirations: Bridget does not know what she wants for her future. She knows she
would love to help people, and her wand suggests she has healing properties. However,
she believes she is not academically talented enough to become a healer/doctor or anything
of that standard, so she has no real plans as of yet.
One of her main aspirations is to fall in love. Of course, she is currently too young,
however being in love will change her life completely, giving her something to live for that
she really feels is worthwhile.
