After leaving his family, a noisy train ride and a sorting ceremony that placed him in the hands (or the alternative) of a hat Marzen had to get out of the castle. He waited until the prefects came to take them to their house and he snuck away towards the entrance doors that were still open. Taking a deep breath as he stepped outside he leant against the wall and closed his eyes.

Hufflepuff. That was his house. He wasn't displeased, He liked the color yellow and everything but one thing kept bugging him, What the hell was a Hufflepuff? Everything was so confusing and overwhelming it had hurt his head. None of the kids he lived with had joined his house, even Alina had been placed in Gryffindor while Sky had been placed in Ravenclaw. He'd hardly see them now even though Alina had promised to hang out with him he didn't feel any genuine conviction. It felt like a false promise. His mind wandered on other things and he lost track of time completely. A noise startled him and fearing a professor was on their way out he ran part way down the lawns, keeping to the shadows and away from the light shining through the large wooden doors.

Not looking where he was going Marzen suddenly fell through a bush and found himself in what he thought to be a garden, only he couldn't really see anything as it was dark. Stumbling around he came to a breathless stop next to a flower bed and found himself resting his head on a patch of grass. He just needed to catch his breath but he could slowly feel himself drifting.

Orwell's life since returning to school had revolved around the garden, it was pretty interesting to him, and knowing he had to also plan for the up coming year of Wild Patch antics, the teen was centring himself and letting his mind think of it as he was in the gardens, Orwell knew that he would have to do a lot to keep up with both the work he had to do for that, and eventually his school work, but for now he had all the time in the world, he was able to just sit in the gardens amongst the plants he had grown and just spend his time with it. The teen had no qualms with the mud, and the nights while cold were nothing more than he was used to, the king of flowers spent most of his life outside of school outside in the forest of his community, and being there had taught him far more about life and the cold than any school could ever, but he knew that his education would be incomplete without spending time at this school.

It was as he finished up for the evening, slipping the warm jumper back on that he spotted someone laying next to the flower bed, he looked at the person, noting that they seemed to be falling asleep and while he didn't want to disturb the boy, Orwell felt he had a duty to at least wake him up, if the boy didn't want to sleep in his dorm, the ravenclaw teen would offer the wild patch hut as a place he could sleep, it wasn't the warmest of places but it was at least protect from any possible rain, and a little warmer than just sleeping outside. The teen couldn't imagine having joined the school as a first year, while it was the norm, he would've felt so unprepared for this world, and he could only feel sympathy for anyone who found the first few days difficult. Orwell knelt down and place his hand on the boy's shoulder to give him a very small nudge, hoping he wouldn't have to do too much more to wake him, "Hey, wake up," Orwell said quietly, leaning away slightly and running a dirtied hand through his bright green hair which was difficult to make out in the darker light, where really only the glow of the castle's windows shone down, "If you need a place to sleep the wild patch hut is much more comfortable,"

Slightly startled into the realm of consciousness once more, Marzen's eyes fluttered open to a green haired boy staring down at him. If Marzen hadn't had glimpsed him a couple of times in the hallways earlier that day he'd have thought that the boy was some kind of magical creature, but he was just a wizard like himself. There was something intriguing about the green haired boy, not just his appearance but something else he couldn't quite place. Marzen himself sat up and smiled up at the taller and older boy. "Sorry for falling asleep. I just needed some air but I found my way here. It's beautiful." Even in the dark Marzen knew what he was saying was true. It was a beautiful and peaceful place and he could see himself visiting the garden quite a lot.

Orwell stood waiting for the young boy lying in the ground to wake up, he smiled at him as he managed to do so, watching the eyes flutter open and his expression remained soft, hoping that even this early into the term than nothing had happened to this boy, nothing so severe that he was already opting to sleep in the gardens. orwell watched as he sat himself up and just nodded at the words, "It is," he had more than once napped in the amongst the plants or within the Wild patch area, but he knew it was better to be indoors while at school, for one thing he didn't run the risk of getting into trouble and this was exactly what Orwell wanted him to avoid doing, "I'm Orwell, I look after bits of the garden for the wild patch club," he told him with a small smile, "I was just heading back to the castle so would you like to join me in doing that?" he asked him, running a hand through his hair and smiling at the boy as he got himself stood at full height, just waiting to hear what the boy's response would be, if he came with that was fine, if he didn't orwell wouldn't mention to anyone that he was still out when it was so near to curfew.
