Now this was a strange sight. Yerik Rhys was standing between two shelves of books, skimming through a row of titles intently, muttering the names to himself as he ran his index finger over the bindings. He was looking for books on History of Magic; anything to help him with the looming homework.Such was the beauty of Yerik Rhys. He tended to concentrate and put things off until last minute, up until the point that inner drive of his kicked him in the butt and motivated him.Yerik Rhys pulled a few books off the shelf and brought them to an empty table, sitting them besides a Quidditch book he'd taken from the 'Popular Subjects' shelf when he first walked in. Even if he didn't intend on reading them right away it made him feel more comfortable somehow.

The library had been the second home to Yerik Rhys as it was for some of his other housemates. He almost felt out of place that afternoon, like the person who usually occupied the table he was sitting at would come around the corner at any moment and stare at him like he was some stranger in their house. Taking a quick look around before giving his free period to studying, casually leaned back in his chair, propped the book on his lap and tried to concentrate on the words in front of him. It had been a long day for the Ravenclaw though, and it wasn't long before he felt his eyelids grew heavy. Fighting the urge to nod off, Yerik Rhys straightened himself to avoid toppling backwards.

If one would see Maria lying down on her bed, a quill in hand, and a bunch of parchment around her, one would think that she was having an easy time studying, but that was really not the case. With one look in her eyes, it could easily seen that she was getting irritated, or more so, frustrated. She had a pile of homeworks in front of her, a lot of them she couldn't understand. Maria is not the type of person who would just leave her assignments unanswered, so with a bounce, she get off her bed and carefully arranged her things and placed them o her bedside drawer. If she could not answer her homeworks by thinking alone, then she surely need some references.

With a quick turn, Maria was already walking towards the library. She's in a real hurry, she needed to find the book that she needed. Looking at every bookshelves, Maria was growing more and more frustrated, until finally, she found the book that she was looking for. She was about to went over and take it when another student, a boy at that, had grabbed the book and went off. With an irritated sigh, Maria tried to look for another copy of the said book, but to no avail, she failed to find one. Shaking her head in annoyance, Maria had resorted to the last solution that she could think of; she need to find the boy.

Scanning around the library, Maria had finally caught a glimpse of that familiar dark brown hair. With a deep breath, she approached the said boy. "Excuse me.." she said, poking the boy at his shoulder as she did so.

As he was reading or rather finding anything that is related to his homework he was disturbed by a finger who seems to be poking him. Yerik Rhys hated disturbances , especially when his concentrating on his book. He then glanced behind him, a girl who seems to be younger than him was standing behind him. The girl seems to be lost, "This isn't a daycare" he moaned as he closed his book while his right hand was in between the pages. "Pardon. May I help you?" he said to the girl. Wandering his eyes around to catch a sight of any librarian around the place. Sadly, there was no sign of any boring adult. He was seated there, waiting for the girl to react or say anything. Yerik Rhys didn't want to waste any time glaring at book and the girl.

I do apologize for the short reply, not sure of what to say or do. :linda:

Maria frowned when she had heard the boy's statement, she was trying to be nice and all and all she would get was that comment? "I'm not looking for a daycare center." She said sharply, glaring at the boy as she did so. She then sat in the chair across him, her eyes fixed on the book rather than at the boy. Sure enough, it was the book that she was looking for and it was the only copy that she could find, and now, all she needed to do was to somehow convince the boy to give it to her. "When are you going to finish reading that book?" She said flatly as she raised his gaze to look directly at the boy's eyes. She needed that book and she'll definitely do anything to get it.
