[!BR] Not going to the Ball

It was just a kiss, but Maddiie was at the worst state ever to even think about going to the ball with Alex. He still didn't know, or if he hadn't figure it out yet, she was sure something was going to slip out in matter of days now. Hogwarts had walls with ears, or the walls were to thin to even keep a secret such like this. She didn't care what people though of her, yes she kissed someone else but he had done the same. Before her matter of fact, still it was hurting her self esteem, it wasn't Maddiie to such a thing. Its was out of her character to even seek revenge for something bad like this to ever happen to her, it wasn't Maddiie.

Fresh tears filled her eyes, as the thick layer of eyeliner would smear down her cheeks. The worst time to wear makeup she suppose, but she didn't care, she felt horrible no matter what. After telling Alex she had loved him, she had went behind his back and kissed another. "I'm hopeless.." she said softly sitting on a log of the forbidden forest, possibly close to midnight not caring what comes out in shadow. If anything was lurking about she rather it take her now, what's the point being here, she rather be at home locked in her room than being here at the moment.

Alex had been out in the forest for some time now, not doing anything in particular, just wandering around looking at everything and how it enter twined with the rest of the forest, it was like they where almost destined to be, it had felt the same way with him and Maddiie but now it felt like that was all over, he loved her so much and he couldn't change it even if he wanted to. He was shocked when he saw Maddiie out in the forest and he didn't want to say anything to her he just wanted to keeo walking away, so he tried to but he stepped on a rather large stick that snapped under his wieght.

Maddiie heard a snap and didn't even bother to react, instead she let whatever crossing by gone with its business. Just like she was thinking minutes ago let be something horrible so she could be excused for the rest of the year, she was really thinking of home schooling again. Looking up though as she clean up the rest of her eyeliner of her lids she notice it was Alex, her boyfriend. Looking down, she knew he already knew, it was obvious, she wished he hadn't believe the rumours, but not even Maddiie could lie to such a breath taking features of Alex like that, she felt herself crumble just looking at him. Without another word she looked down.

" I just want to know why you did it and then I will leave you alone." Alex said a few tears welling up in his eyes as he spoke, it was unlike him to cry, but this was a difficult situation, his girlfriend had cheated on him, with someone who he had to spend time with seeing as they where on the same quidditch team. " I thought you loved me."

Maddiie so bad wanted to run over to Alex and hold him. She wanted to kiss him forever and never let him go, but she couldn't bare to do it. Forces around her told her to stay put, you deserve every words that was being said, and even the questioning that was being asked. Her lips tremble as she tried to speak, she had to stop crying, mature adults don't cry come on Maddiie speak. "I do love you Alex, I don't want you to leave me.." was all she could really say. She felt fragile, though she meant every word she had said, there was no going back to changing the past. Isn't that what life about? Growing up and learning from your mistakes?

" I don't want to leave you either and I'm not going to, I'm in love with you and nothing is going to change that, but I want to know why you done that to me. You would have known how much it would have hurt me, and you still done it." Alex said his heart thumping as he said so, and more tears coming down his eyes, he knew it would look weak for him to cry, but truthfully he was a strong man who could express his emotions and do it well."... I don't want our relationship to end I just want to know why you done it, and why you couldn't tell me before everyone else did."

"Truthfully.." she said with her gaze converted towards another direction. "I wasn't going to tell you, I didn't think it would had came out.." she sigh feeling her stomach curl like she was about to spew right there on the forbidden grounds of Hogwarts. "I was going to tell you when we were somewhere alone.." she finally said tears still gliding down her cheeks her makeup running. It didn't fix anything anyways, she heard Alex and Kirea were done for. Now it was her relationship she had to worry about, even though he said he wasn't going to leave her she knew there be trust issues. No one ever forgets when they been hurt, its like a scar that mends but never truly heals.

Alex couldn't bare to see Maddiie upset it was breaking his heart, he walked up and put his arms around her kissing her on the cheek. " I love you, always remember that, I always will, the way I feel about you will never change, it is just I feel hurt at the moment." He said he don't know if he would be able to say it again if it ever happened again to him, there was going to be some issues for a while but eventually he would get over it, even though he would always remember it. " I love you so much, Maddiie, just please promise me it will never happen again."

Maddiie felt Alex embrace her lovingly, she couldn't believe he still felt the same way about her. "I'm sorry I should have told you.." she whispers onto him, her hands trailing against his face as she wiped his tears away. "I promise, I'm so sorry..." she said over again as she met his lips to kiss him. It was a long kiss, something way different than before. She held her breath, kissing as it became a very alluring one, affecting she wanted to take the pain away. After holding it in for to long, her cheeks becoming red from the deepen kiss, they parted, her breath slowly exhaling. "I love you to.." she finally said still tears slipping from the corner of her eyes, making them look transparent water colour like.

Alex raised his hands up and wiped her tears away from her face, they made her look so much different, but it still didn't affect her beauty, nothing could. " I just don't know what I would do, if it happened again." He said as he kissed her savoring the moment for a while. " You know we need something to get your mind off of what happened.... Come on, we're going to the three broomsticks to go get a drink." He said trying to make her happy again and make things the way they used to be.

"Are you sure?" she asked him wondering if he really wanted to go with her. Alex was such a loving person how could she have done such an act upon him, there will never be a next time. Maddiie made a mental note, hopefully she remember it, keeping the note a secret. Something she hope to promise herself besides Alex promising of not kissing another boy. Of course she would keep that one, she wasn't sure if she ever look at another boy again as long as she was with Alexander.

" Yeah of course im sure, lets go." Alex said as he clutched her hand and gave her a kiss. " Are you ready to go?" He asked knowing how girls sometimes got fussy about the way that they looked and sometimes they wanted just to change for the sake of it, even though the look fine the way they are.

 

[Maddiie Holland]

"Yes I'm ready." Maddiie stood up weary sort of from the lack of energy she felt that day. "Wait but its near midnight you think it still be open?" she asked him thinking it was a romantic sort of to her for sneaking out so late. She knew the shop keeps didn't bother asking the students question when they were out at nights. Besides both her and Alex were of age, if she wanted to she could leave Hogwarts now instead of staying, but she decided not to leave at the moment. Only person she needed to worry about was Alex, everyone didn't matter to her as much.

" The shops will be open, I know they will." Alex said as he thought hard of being at the three broomsticks, slowly they began to spin, building up momentum and eventually they where out the front of the three broomsticks. He stood there looking at Maddiie in the heart f the night, he then looked over his shoulder and saw that the shop was bar was open. " Told you they would be open." He said with a smile on his face.

Maddiie weakly smiled, as they appear in front of the three broom stick. "Guess you were right.." she said, still holding onto his form.
