Boredom

It wasn't very often that she truly got bored. If there was anything Tatyana was really good at, it was entertaining herself. But that usually meant reading her phone and while she had read up on her studies, she just wanted to relax and have fun. Something that seemed to be a challenge considering she didn't hve any actual friends yet.

Tatyana sighed and pulled out a scrap of parchment and her trusty black pen, resigning herself to possibly another afternoon of sketching down her daydreams. Adjusting her hold on her pen, she began sketching the swish of a river, the floating water lilies, swimming fish, and the stalks of grass littering the river bank.

Oliver couldn't wait to see the library. He had heard from others that it was the biggest library they had ever seen! When he finally found himself with some free time with all the excitement of being sorted into Ravenclaw, he decided to grab his Transfiguration textbook and head downstairs to check it out. Ollie stepped into the library and paused for a second as he looked around. He couldn't wait to learn all kinds of new interesting topics here. Plus he figured a library was a good a place as any to find new study buddies.

After looking in each direction he could see once he entered the Library, he noticed someone who looked about his age. He hoped it was a First Year too, because although he was usually pretty shy, he was making an effort to meet new friends in these first days at school. And if she was also in the Library before classes to start, maybe she shared his interest in books. Oliver walked over to the table and saw she was drawing something. "Hey there," he said with a smile, "mind if I join you? My name is Oliver, I'm a Ravenclaw First year."

Tatyana looked up from her sketch and smiled at her fellow first year. "Sure, I don't mind." She shuffled a bit, giving Oliver space to sit by her. "I'm Tatyana, Hufflepuff."

Tatyana observed him for a bit, noted his shy-ish demeanor and spotted the Transfiguration textbook clutched in his hand. "Have you read ahead on the subject?" She asked, nodding towards the book. "It's fascinating, right? How you can change one objects from into another?"

Oliver took his seat next to her after she made some room next to her. "It's nice to meet you, Tatyana!" He opened up his textbook to start browsing from the last page he looked at earlier. Ollie found it fun to look ahead in the book to see what kind of Transfigurations he would be learning later in the year.

"A little bit! Yeah, I am really interested in Transfiguration and Charms for our classes. I can't wait until we get into some real spellwork in our classes," he said looking over at his new friend. "What classes are you excited for this year?" he asked, hoping he wasn't coming off too nerdy with his first impression. It was something he worried about when making new friends, since he knew others didn't always share his interest for learning.

Tatyana smiled at Oliver's enthusiasm for learning. "Defense mostly, and Herbology. And Potions. It's just- they're all so interesting! I don't really know which class I'm looking forward to the most, really."

Magic was fascinating, period. She really didn't need much motivation to try her hand at everything she could get her hands on.

Every day, though, Jenna is a lovely who was escorted here and yet is greeted and settled in a more mind. The big and warm of the soft pink jache was on top ofJenna, and there were comfortable and black trousers on her feet, comfortable and light weight shoes in black. She was in the reading room right now, trying to find a book about dragons that could be studied a little. She was very excited by animals and wanted to link his life to them afterschool. Finding one book described as dragons, she went to take her place at the table, but saw one was familiar girl with whom she lived in one room, but unfortunately the other boy didn't know “Hey, can I join with you both ?” She asked the girl and boy held her book in her hands. Book was realy interesting reading about the dragon.

Tatyana smiled at her dorm mate, Jenna, who was carrying a book about dragons.

"Sure. If Oliver doesn't mind?" She said, head tilted as she looked at the Ravenclaw to silently ask if he's comfortable with it.

Ollie was happy to see Tatyana seemed to share the same fascination for magic. It truly was an amazing thing, and he knew he would have to be a fool to squander any chance he had to learn whatever he could at this school. He was grateful to be meeting others like him, it could only get better from here! As he was listening to her answer, he noticed another girl approaching them. She appeared to be another Hufflepuff 1st Year! Ollie wondered if Tatyana already knew her.

Oliver's eyes were drawn to the book the new girl was holding, he almost didn't hear what she said at first. Based on Tatyana's response, he could tell what he thought he heard was correct. "Yes, of course. The more the merrier" he said with a big smile on his face. He felt a little nervous to have another new person here, but he wasn't going to say no to them. Plus, he wants to meet as many new people as he could. "My name is Oliver, or Ollie for short, as Tatyana said. It's a pleasure to meet you. What book do you have there?" he asked, his curiosity showing on his face.

Thanky! Jenna says to bouth, when she know, she need to go away and find another table when sne can read about the dragons. Jenna know soon started leason and she was woried about flying, she feel about earh is better staying not flying araund, but she din't know that fealing. Nice to meet you to Oliver, and my name is Jenna! I read a book with dragon, i like studing about dragon our animals. She smiling to the boy and girl.

"That's awesome, dragons are so interesting!" Oliver said, returning the smile to his new friend. "I can't wait until our 3rd Year when we can start taking Care of Magical Creatures. What class are you looking forward to the most this year, Jenna? And Tatyana, what do you like most about Defense Against the Dark Arts?" he asked, bring some of the conversation back to Tatyana so she didn't feel left out.

True, dragons is wery awesome and dangeros animals to! But if you can care of them then nothing going wrong! She says at laud thinking about the dragons she realy wanna know about them, mayby some professor here would br know about the dragon. Becouse she realy wanna know about this. I don't know, but think i realy wait charms spells and Defense against the dark and i don't wait flying, becouse i better stay in erth. Jenna hopped friends dont be luffing with here, becouse she will be so much scared.

Tatyana had a slight smile as she went back to sketching and listen to her two companions get along. She was adding details to the fish when Ollie asked her a question.
"Mostly, it's because we'd learn self-defence. The world's a dangerous place, people or creatures who mean us harm could be anywhere. We should, at the very least, know how to defend ourselves."

Oliver listened intently to his new friends as they answered. He was always taught growing up to maintain eye contact and listen to those he is in a conversation with. Plus he liked to hear about others interests and passions, especially when it involved learning about new things. "Yeah, you both have good points. I'm sure our professors will help prepare us for the world. And if we want to, we can always browse all of the books here in the library! I can't wait to dig into each section."

"So do you two have family here already at Hogwarts? I'm the oldest, I have two younger sisters," Ollie said with a twinkle in his eye. He already missed his sisters, they were always close growing up. Sooner or later he would write a letter home to them to let them know all about his first days at school.

Jenna continued to listen to the boy's story and the conversation seemed quite interesting. She smiled at the boy and now nothing to say to him. She was to exicted about shcool soon started and she realy can wait.
