Arianna wandered dispiritedly out of the Great Hall after breakfast. She had moping around like this ever since her best friend had disapeared suddenly. Ari somehow knew that she was alright, but that didn't stop her from missing Viv. She walked over to the window, and stared out at th perfect blue sunny day, which was the absolute opposite of her mood.

After being away from school for over two months, Vivienne decided that she was ready to return. Her parents advised against it, they wanted their only child to be closer to them, especially after what had happened.. But in the end, Vivienne got her way, as usual. She was not a manipulative person, but she knew how to play the 'little princess' card when she really needed to. Now, Vivienne was back at Hogwarts. Her real home, as she liked to call it. Sure, she obviously loved her parents, and Lana.. but at Hogwarts, Vivienne had friends. Not snobby people that wanted invitations or money.. but real friends, ones that cared about her. And she cared about them in return, so of course her time away had felt far too long.

Prancing up to the front doors, Vivienne was careful not to let her cardigan sleeve slip up, revealing her heavily bandaged arm. Luckily, her tights concealed the bandages all down her leg. Pushing the door slowly open, Vivienne sighed, happy to be home. But what made her even more pleased, was that the first person she saw, was none other than Arianna Tipley, one of her best friends! "Omg! Ariii!" Vivienne laughed, waving enthusiastically as she skipped over and ambushed the taller girl with a hug. Well actually, the difference wasn't as big now, because Vivienne had grown a bit over her break. She was still shorter than most, but not the midget she had once been.

She looked different in other ways too. For one, Vivienne did not look as prim and proper as usual. She looked sort of more.. hippieish, mainly in the way she dressed, and that her hair was not perfect (in fact in was rather messy). Like she was more of a real person, one that had experienced life. Not some little rich girl that had been locked away in her safe, tall tower forever. In saying that, Vivienne looked a fair bit thinner than before. Not anorexic, definitely not. Just really tired, as though she had been under a lot of stress. That was something the sheltered girl had not much experience with. Although Vivienne was still definitely the same happy-go-lucky girl she had been, there was just something in her eyes that said:

I am not plastic any more.

It looked as though she had done something - something that no one would have guessed.

Grown up a bit, and finally found her voice.

When Ari heard a famaliar call, she thought she must have fallen asleep at the window, and now she was dreaming. Dreaming that, just when she had been thinking about her absolute best friend, she had walked in the door. She just couln't believe that it was possible.
"Viv?" she said, her voice a hoarse whisper, as she turned towards her friend. She was knocked back, almost bonelessly, when Viv hugged her. Then, she wrapped her arms around her and hugged her tight.
"You're back?" was all Ari could manage, as she looked at Viv. Her best friend looked different, somehow. She couldn't put her finger on it, but something had changed.

Vivienne let out another giggle as Arianna replied sleepily. Almost as though she hadn't recognised Vivienne at first. "No, I'm Professor King. Returned to educate you in the ways of awesomeness," she said, after she released Arianna from the hug. "So.. young student girl.. what has happened in my absence?" Vivienne continued, with a happy smirk. Being reunited with her best friend, she felt more cheerful than she had in a fair while.

Ari laughed, more out of shock than humour. Once she had started, she found she couldn't stop. The past two month's emotion poured out in hysterics, and she sank to the ground. She had no idea why she was laughing now. Shouldn't she be crying? She wasn't sure anymore. Stopping with a sigh, she looked up at Viv from the ground
"Well... Nothing for me. I've just been missing you and... missing you" she said, sighing again.

Vivienne's eyes widened slightly when Arianna sank to the ground in hysterics. "Oh dear, um.." she giggled, looking down awkwardly. She put out a hand out to help her friend up, but before she knew it, Vivienne had joined in with the hysterics. She almost fell over on top of Arianna, but managed to miss her and just sort of half collapse next to her. After a few moments, the odd Hufflepuff was able to regain her composure, and stand up straight again. Wiping a tear (from laughing too hard), Vivienne said "Ahh.." and looked back up at her friend. "Awww!! I've missed you too! Heeeaps!" she said, completely genuinely. As an afterthought, she added "Umm.. by the way.. why are we laughing?" with another small fit of laughter.

That set Ari off again, and she giggled along with Viv
"I don't actually know..." she stammered, grinning at her friend sitting beside her on the floor of the Entrance hall. Passing people gave them odd looks, but Ari didn't care in the slightest. She finally had Viv back.
"So, where have you been?!" she asked her, making herself more comfortable on the cold stone. It seemed like her whole head had been lit up.
