Danielle lay on the hot sand of Eden Island, loving the feeling of the sun on her skin. She'd always loved the sun, thought hat wasn't why they'd picked the Seychelles Islands. They were far from anyone, far from family, far from home. It was just she and Gabrian. She wished it could always be that way. Danielle couldn't actually remember being this happy, not in a long time. They were staying in a villa, right by the beach, no muggles nearby. The past few days had been a blur; the preparation, the wedding. She'd asked that Donavon give her away, he'd cared more for her than her Father ever had. Rupert Howard hadn't even seemed to care. Her actions had caused a bit of a stir though, and she wasn't sure that Gabrian's family had appreciated the gesture. She didn't care though, Danielle didn't give an iota about anyone's opinion other than her husband's. That word made her tingle. She'd married Gabrian Raven. Better, she loved Gabrian. Danielle had never really thought that could happen. She'd always found it hard to let people in, but Gabrian had worked at it. She adored him, though she still sometimes found the words getting stuck in her throat. Ridiculous, she knew, but she still waited for him to realise what a terrible choice he'd made, though they'd been together for so long. It was strange, as a child she'd imagined her wedding day; the dress, the trappings, never the bridegroom. Strange, that when the day had actually come, she'd just wanted it to be over, she'd just wanted her life with Gabrian to begin; the wedding had meant nothing, it was that one moment of promising to love him that would stay with her. She wouldn't remember what song they'd danced to, what words her brother had spoken. She'd spent the day looking into a pair of dazzlingly blue eyes.
Where was Gabrian? She rose up on her elbows, her beautiful features marred by a confused frown. She stood in one swift motion, brushing sand from the black kimono she wore over a white bikini. She walked back toward the villa, peeking into the kitchen. Ever since that one disastrous attempt she'd made, Gabrian had banned her from attempting to cook. She didn't mind, he could cook, and they had house elves for that sort of thing. On the table was a magazine, a muggle one. She recognised it; the fact that she'd been married was in it. She was a model, or rather had been, she wasn't sure if she wanted to go back to it. thankfully, they'd gotten no pictures. She hated the idea that her marriage would be read about by muggles. They hadn't managed to get Gabrian's name either. "Gabrian?" she called out, dropping the offending pages back onto the table. The place was big, but her voice would travel. "I'm in the kitchen, careful or I may start cooking!" she laughed, jumping to sit on the counter.
