It was a warm day, considering the season. The sun was out and birds
could be heard singing as they flew around in the clear sky. It was a day
which could make the most saddest of people feel happy about being outside.
The sort of day which would make you smile when you were out working. The
air was filled with the scent of cut grass as the park had recently been mowed
earlier this morning. The sound of children laughing and shouting as they played
in the play ground with their friends. Tag seemed to be the game which most
were playing today, kids ran around franticly trying to catch and run away from
each other. It was a fun sight to watch and made a person forget about their
troubles for a time. There really was a great atmosphere today which seemed
to be as contagious as a cold.

One young adult who was also in a good mood this morning was Riley. He was
in a good mood for many reasons which included, he no longer had the blinding
stress on his shoulders after opening up to Adele about it and now knowing that
he wasn't alone in his problems and that she would always be there for her. Two.
Lowan was away with Jason today so Riley didn't have to worry about looking
after a baby all day and would have a bit of peace from constant noise which
would probably be crying or just constant annoyance because he always had too
keep a close watch on the boy as he was walking now and was in to everything
so Riley needed to make sure he didn't get in to any trouble. And not to mention
today was the birthday of his much loved wife. She would be turning twenty today
and that also meant that Riley would no longer be the only non teenager in the
house. He had hated being the eldest in the house, which he still was but at least
everyone else under his roof wasn't in their teens.

He crept down the stairs of the house while she slept to put her present on the
kitchen table along with her chocolate birthday cake. Seeing as Mark and Logan
were on their break too it meant he had to be extra quiet because he had to pass
their room and he knew just how much of a light sleeper Logan was. He wanted to
make sure that today was perfect for her, after all she deserved it more than anyone.
She had been so great to him and she had been such a good mother to their son, it
was time she was given a day off to enjoy herself with out the stress of having to
play the role of mummy. When he reached the kitchen Riley began to prepare a cooked
breakfast, closing the door so he wouldn't be as loud. Breakfast in bed was a thing he
knew would surprise her and with his cooking skills it would be something she would
enjoying. it didn't take long, fifteen minutes and the eggs, beans, toast and bacon was
all cooked and ready to go. Pouring a glass of orange juice Riley made his way back to
the bed room and placed the tray on the dresser next to Adele and kissed her forehead.
"Morning beautiful. Happy birthday." He said softly to her.

Adele lay asleep in her and Riley's bed, not knowing that the cheeky man had sneaked out to cook her breakfast. It was infact because it was Adele's birthday and Riley was about to spoil her rotten. But Adele wasn't to know that as she came to, to the feel of Riley kissing her forehead. Her eyes slowly opened, and the bright gleams of the sun brought a shock to her system as she realised that it was a fairly warm winters day. Perfect for her birthday.

"Morning Gorgeous...thanks." She told him with a sweet, but tired smile before noticing the breakfast on the side. Her smile grew as she looked back at Riley. "WOW thank-you." She said, before suddenly waking up and pulling Riley in for a hug as her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. "I love-you I love-you I love-you...mmmwah." She laughed as she kissed him, making a kissing sound.

The young veela could feel his body fill with love and care as he watched
Adele slowly open her eyes and wake up. There were no words which
could describe the feelings which he had for her and he couldn't say
how glad he was that their temporary break had only been temporary.
He was glad that nothing had happened between him again Caysi when
she had kissed him and admitted her feelings for him. He knew he would
never be able to feel for another what he felt for the girl in front of him.
She had saved his life in more ways than one and he wouldn't know
where he would be with out her. And lucky for him he would never need
to find out. He would always have her by his side and he would do
everything in his power to keep her happy. He had changed so much since
meeting her for the first time. Back then he had only just turned eighteen
and he had been with Ana. He cheated almost everyday and had a new girl
every time. Adele had been the only one to stay in his life. She had been
determined to keep him and kept popping up. It wasn't until after he and Ana
split that the best thing to enter his life entered for good. Now he was as loyal
as ever and didn't even look at other girls. She was the one for him. Now and
always.

Her voice was like music to his ears. He could smell the food and he suddenly
felt hungry. He could wait until she finished before he would eat. He would make
a quick bowl of something later. A huge grin soon found its way on to his perfect
face as she thanked him and hugged him. He wrapped his arms loosely around
her chest and laughed. "Yeah i know you love me." He said kissing her lips softly.
"And I love you too." He whispered to her as he pulled away. "I knew you like my
cooking and seeing as im away a lot I thought id make you something today. Il be
making your favourite for dinner too."
He said smiling at her as he stood up from
the bed so that she could eat her breakfast. He wondered if she would like his present
when she got down stairs. He always worried in case he got something which she
wouldn't like. He didn't see why she wouldn't like it. He had got her a big portrait of
him, her, Lowan, Mark and Logan. Seeing as they were all one big family he thought
they should make it official and have a big family picture in the living room like other
families did. Not to mention, when Lowan was older he could see what he looked like
when he was a baby. Riley was making sure to get a lot of future embarrassing photo's
so he could show them to his friends and girl friends. Because that was always what
families were for. He had so many different plans on how to embarrass him as he grey
up he would have to start writing them down soon.

As he looked back to Adele he smiled. It was just a reaction he had too her when ever
he saw her. "Jason has Lowan until tomorrow so you wont have to worry about
sorting him out today. The teenagers in the next room are all going out with their
girl friends so its just going to be us today."
He said knowing what will soon go
through Adele's head about their solitude for the day. He was still going to wait until
she practically jumped him because he wanted to know who could last longer
with out it. Right now he was holding up fine, as for Adele he didn't know if she was or
not. The main reason he was is because he already has so much on his mind to distract
him. "So what does the birthday girl want to do today?" he said as he leant on the
wardrobe door.

Adele couldn't help but let an "Aww" escape from her mouth as Riley continued to be a charmer. And it was really working. It was these sorts of gestures which made Adele fall in love with Riley in the first place. Their relationship had come so far since the beginning. From a one night stand, to a full on affair, then Riley broke up with Ana, which gave way to Adele being Riley's full-on girlfriend, that then led to a son and a wedding, and then there was the break-up, and now here they were, all happy families with the younger boys in Riley's family who he actually liked. It had been like a roller-coaster for the couple, but now Adele finally felt like that roller-coaster was coming to an end, and they all hopped off the ride together, then headed home to be calm and peaceful again, and not feel like you're being pushed here and there all the time at high speeds.

Only one thing came to Adele's mind when Riley told her that it was just the two of them, and asked what she wanted to do. But Adele held it back, she'd save that for later, when she really couldn't resist any longer, but until then, all she wanted was her Husband and his love. And some well-cooked breakfast would be good to. Adele began to dig into her breakfast as it cooled off a little. Swallowing a chunk of sausage, Adele smiled at Riley. "Well...first of all I'd like to finish this gorgeous breakfast that you have very kindly cooked me...and then we'll see what happens from there..." Adele giggled childishly as she scoffed down her breakfast. She was still yet to get dressed, and, it being her birthday, Adele thought about dressing. "So...how about we have a bit of fun and dress up all smart for my birthday this year...then I'd get to see how handsome you look in a suit all over again...and remind me of our wedding-day..." Adele giggled again. She loved thinking about thier wedding-day, it was the best day of her life so far. And would probably remain to be the best day of her life until the end.

It was typical for Adele not to mention presents, as much as she loved opening them on her special day she didn't like to ask, it was an awkward topic to bring up for Adele when it was her own birthday. She knew Riley had bought her one...well...she bloomin' well hoped so anyway...for his sake. He would have to face the Adele Smith style tantrums if he hadn't. But Adele was pretty sure that he had remembered, so she decided to wait until he brought the subject of presents up.

Riley smiled slightly as he heard Adele aww. It made him blush, very
slightly. He walked to the window so that she wouldn't see the slight
redness now in his cheeks. He knew he had been kind to her this
morning and been sweet but that didn't mean he liked being thanked
for it any more. Of course he liked it, he liked the acknowledgement
of his actions but he still got slightly embarrassed about it. Maybe
that had come over time of being with Adele and calming his ego
down because when he was younger he wouldn't have blushed at
anything. Or maybe it was a sign of growth and maturity. He liked
the sound of the second option better. He liked the idea of himself
being mature. The man of the house, a father figure to all over boys
in this house. He actually slightly flattered by that thought that even
seventeen year old Mark saw Riley as a father figure. Most teenagers
that age usually spent less time with their families and more time with
their friends so they become distant. Mark was the total opposite.
Still Riley was glad for it.

He looked out of the window at the lake a mile or so away. They lived
in a nice part of New Zealand that was for sure. Whangarei had water
falls and lakes and the sea. It was certainly a change from where he
had grown up and where he had lived with Cyndi. But it was a nice
and refreshing change, one that he was sure everyone in the house
was pleased about. As Riley heard the voice of Adele again he turned
his head to face her so that he could hear her better. He opened his
mouth to comment but she got there before him. He knew that she
was thinking about their 'drinks' he would be lying if he said he had
not thought about it but it was just thoughts. He had had his fair
share of drinks with his fair share of girls so he was happy with his
fill and was not desperate for his next fix. He sighed sarcasticly.
"Ugh. Fine but only because its your birthday." He said before smiling
childishly. ".....And also because it makes me feel smart and sexy."
He said quietly to her with a chuckle. He still didn't have the high
opinion of himself that he had once had before the stress had kicked
in. It had started before the Werewolf attack but it wasn't until after
that it really kicked in and hit home when he lost his old self. It was
only now that he was getting back on track but he knew as well as
Adele he would not be perfectly like he was. But that was a good
thing in many ways.

He tilted his head to the side as he wondered what was going through
her mind. He turned his whole body to face her before deciding to go
pick out a suit. He wasn't going to put it on now because knowing him
he would spill his breakfast all down it and he would rather a shirt than
a expensive suit. Although then again a quick spell would do the trick
for both. Still it meant effort getting changed now and they wouldn't
be going out for at least one hour. So he would just do it later, save
the effort. "I was thinking we could have a picnic by the water fall. I
know its winter and everything but its kind of warm and there wont
be too many people there this time of year so it would be more
peaceful."
He stated as he shared his idea with her. At the end of the
say it was up to her what she wanted to do. It was her birthday which
meant she called the shots for today, he was just trying to give her a
few idea's. "Or maybe go to the beach for a bit then go shopping and
go to a fancy restaurant. That way we don't look completely stupid in
fancy dress. Although i guess we could do either on of those and come
back, get changed and go out."
He said as he looked up slightly as he
thought. "Its up to you though really." He said looking back down to
her with a smile on his lips

Adele smiled as Riley agreed to her idea. If he must spoil Adele like this, then she would take advantage of the situation and make sure that she got her own way all day long. Adele could be selfish like that, but today was meant to be about her, it was her birthday, and she was sure that Riley was intending to spoil her rotten, not that he didn't already do every single day of her life. Just his presence made Adele feel special. They really were meant to be together, and now they were actually back together again, Adele couldn't imagine life being any other way. There was no way she would go anywhere near another boy again. Yes she was friends with a few males, but they were no more than close friends. All of her feelings more Izaak had dissolved into thin air now, he was purely a very close friend who had done a lot for her, and had comforted her when her and Riley were apart. And as for Hadan, Adele would slap him if she ever saw that idiot again. To this day, Adele still didn't know what she had seen in Hadan on that disastrous night. He was a cheap, defenseless, and tacky user who knew how to attract girls, but that was it. He wasn't kind, he wasn't even good looking, he was no more than a pile of cow dung in Adele's eyes.

"That's right smart and sexy, that's the way I like my boy..." She told him cheekily before listening to his ideas about things to do , then considering them and weighing up her options. "Well I like the idea of a picnic by the lake...I could get you soaking wet then kiss you underneath the picnic blanket until the risen sun shows us up." Adele joked with a happy laugh. She then hinted a tad of sarcasm as she coughed once. "And then we'd eat the food....of course..." Adele smiled widely at Riley before continuing. "And as for the beach and a romantic sounding, candle-lit dinner...well I think we can end up there this evening...watch the sun go down over the beach, have some posh food, then come back here to some...hmm well I guess you could call them party games..." That was it, Adele couldn't hold it in any longer, her and Riley's drinks were something that she couldn't resist. "And that will all be in fancy-dress..." She said mischievously, using Riley's choice of words for dressing -up smartly, it was hardly fancy dress, but that was just the Riley that Adele knew and loved.

Adele scooped up her breakfast in no time before putting the plate back on the side and standing up infront of Riley. She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck. "So..." Adele sharply flicked her head once so that her hair was behind her shoulders and out of the way. "How about you go and get yourself some breakfast...while I get changed, then I can surprise you when you come back upstairs? What do you think?" Adele suggested, she knew exactly what dress she was going to wear. Adele always looked forward to dressing-up, especially when she was spending the day with her gorgeous husband.

Riley watched as she smiled at him. The way her brown hair fell past
her shoulders and effortlessly curled and fell in to her face slightly made
her look so beautiful with out even trying. If perfect was what she was
looking for she should stay the same. Riley ran his hand down the line of
buttons on his shirt, fiddling with one as he found a sudden urge to keep
his hand busy. The night of their fight was still deadly fresh in his mind,
it had been a while ago but that had been one of the worst days of his
life. It had been a night when Adele had told him she had cheated and
his trust for her had shattered in to a million pieces. He had nearly lost
the best thing to ever happen to him and he would never forget about
it. He would also not be forgetting when he beat the cr@p out of Haden
that night when he had finished work. Now that had been a good fight.
He had been so stressed and so worked up his first punch had basicly
knocked him out flat. Riley was surprised the guy had not been in a coma
when he finished. Riley was strong even when he wasn't angry, never
mind when he was in the mood to rip someone's head of. Then he was
just scarily strong. The last time he could remember really being that mad
when the night he had killed Dervish. Riley then had believed that the
death eater had stolen and killed his first child, Natalie Smith. He had been
so sure that it had been him who had taken her that when Ana had gone
to sleep he had snuck out and killed him using the killing curse. He would
not hesitate to do that again if someone harmed Lowan. He would protect
his family with his life and wouldn't think twice about ending someone else's.

Riley still had to force a smile when she called him good looking and now
was no different. Despite being part Veela, Riley still couldn't look at himself
in the mirror and see what Adele could see in him. He was still a monster in
his eyes, non human. Everyone always said that Veela's had beauty which
was beyond human. "Yeah I know how you like your boy. Iv had nearly three
years to learn."
He said softly as he sat on the edge of his side of the bed.
Although he had opened up to Adele and knew he could tell her anything that
didn't change what went through his head and how he saw things. Sure there
was not the same stress factor that he had had before but he still had the low
self esteem, despite a few students having a crush on him, and still thought
Adele could do better. He wondered if they had not had Lowan and they had
broken up, if she would have gone back to him so easily. No one wants to raise
a child on their own and if they didn't have that tie to each other that Lowan
gave them then would she still have come back to him. Or would she have left
and would he be with another girl right now trying to forget. Riley shook his
head to stop that train of thought.

As Adele spoke again Riley listened carefully, taking it as an opportunity to
occupy his over active mind. A laugh escaping his perfectly formed lips as
she shared her own idea's about the ones he had put forward. He wasn't
too surprised by them though because he knew her well enough to be able
to predict the basics of what she would say next. But when it was usually
based around one subject it was easy to do. "You know it should be the
other way around. Its kind of the guy's job to do that."
He said with a wink
as she spoke about kissing by the water fall. From what he had heard there
was a small opening in the rocks behind the water fall which you could sit in.
He smiled as his male mind went in to action but he soon shook his head again
to stop it. He sighed sarcasticly as she spoke again. "I thought that because
thats where I asked you to marry me the beach would kind of be a special place
for us. As for the games lets wait and see."
He said with a smile as he ran his
hand through his dark hair. He knew he had to make the most of today as he
would be back to work tomorrow and he wouldn't be able to see Adele for a
while after that. He hated his job some times but it paid well and he didn't
have the luxury to be able to be choosy about the jobs that he wanted to
do and he had to make the best of what he had.

When Adele wrapped her arms around his neck Riley over powered by a warm
sensation which he always got from her touch. He rested his hands on her
waist as he looked in to her deep chocolate brown eyes which matched her
brown hair. "Ok but just dont wear anything fancy right now, its going to be
muddy in the forest so you should wear something practical because you will
be wearing wellies when we go out."
He said with a smile. He would probably
put a hoodie on before he left, even though it took a lot to make him hot or
cold Riley knew that it would be cold by the water and it they were going to
get wet then he would need something warm after. He didn't plan on getting
wet but he could never be sure when he had Adele in tow. He had also come
to learn that little fact to. He kissed her cheek before standing up to give her
some privacy getting changed. "Il see you down stairs." He said with a crooked
smile smile as he left the room, closing the door behind him.

Heading across the dark upstairs hall Riley flicked his wand and lit up the house.
He didn't want any injuries on Adele's birthday. He walked down the red carpeted
stair way. The first thing you could see when walking down the stairs was the
front door. In his old house he never been a fan of walking in and seeing the
stairs but he thought it suited this house rather well and his mind was changed
about it. As he stepped on to the ground floor he headed towards the kitchen.
He was watching his step as he was just wearing socks and he knew there
were a few of Lowan's toys lying around somewhere and standing on one was
the last thing that he wanted to do. As he got to the kitchen he headed for
the cupboard on the end of the cabinate and took out the box of corn flakes
and picked up a bowl from the rack and poured some in. Adding some sugar
and milk he hated ate while he waited for Adele to get dressed and head down.
He flicked his wand over the top of a cup and added some hot water in to it. He
stuck a tea bag in there and made her a cup of tea for when she came down.

When Riley left the room Adele went and retrieved her dress from the wardrobe ready for later on. She was really looking forward to spending some quality time with Riley, it had been long enough. Now he was working at Hogwarts, Adele didn't get to see RIley as much, but that only meant that the times that they did spend together were even more special. 'Distance makes the Heart Grow Fonder' as the elderly people say. And it was true for this couple, every moment that they had together was precious, and whether Riley was a werewolf or not, nothing had changed between them, they were as loved up as ever and Adele was now feeling as if she could really begin to enjoy married life. They had beaten the stumbling blocks and now the young couple were on their way to a perfect eternity in paradise.

Adele then followed Riley's advice and put on some casual clothes. It sounded like the couple would be going on some fun birthday adventure today, and Adele was thoroughly looking forward to it. it was her birthday, the sun was beaming through the windows, it was warm and she had Riley all to herself and she didn't have to worry about Lowan or any of Riley's family. It was set to be the perfect day for Adele and she couldn't wait to get going.

When she was ready, Adele grabbed her plate and finished her drink before opening the door with her elbow as she was full-handed. This was a time when she could have done with Riley, having opened the door she promptly dropped her bean sauce filled plate. It hit the ground, bounced, then smashed into smithereens on the floor. "ERGH, AH, RILEEYYY." She called before she crouched down and began to pick up the smashed bits of plate. Riley would kill her for picking them up, there were sharp pieces hanging-around and Riley was so protective over her it was unbelievable. But Adele didn't mind, infact, she quite liked having a strong and handsome man to come to the rescue whenever she found herself in a spot of bother, like now for example. By the sound of Adele's call to Riley, it might have sounded to him like a murder had been committed upstairs, but that was just Adele for you. She made a big thing out of a little situation.....all the time. But no-one could change Adele, that was her, end of.

A cool morning breeze made its way through the open window in to
the Kitchen. The fake flowers which were in a vase on the kitchen side
rustled around a little bit and it sounded a little like wind blowing
through the tree's on an Autumns day when the leaves were dry and
ready to fall off. It wasn't a cold breeze though, it didn't send a shiver
down Rileys spine it just felt nice on him and he took a deep breath.
The air was rich and sweet, it was so clean in this part of New Zealand,
unlike his previous living place Wellington. Being the capital it was highly
populated and that mean it was also dirty, like any major city. He had
not wanted Lowan to grow up in such a place and here was a great clean
environment to enjoy. Not to mention the great facilities this place offered.
A park just down the road with a lake to feel the ducks or to go boating
every now and then. A play school, a primary and and a high school. There
was even a college. He wasn't sure where the nearest university was
thought but that wasn't for years to come and they could have moved
again by then. He wasn't planning on moving now but they had years and
years to come before any of that hassle. He wanted to wait until at least
Logan had graduated from Hogwarts before he thought about moving and
that wouldn't happen for another four years. He wondered if they should
move country, somewhere warm and exotic, or simply to a neighbouring
country like Australia. Sydney did sound good but he liked the sound of
living on a beach. Maybe take up surfing. He had always wanted to surf.
Maybe when this semester finished he would take Adele and the boys on
holiday to the beach and take lessons. A smile began to creep its way on
to his face as he began to plan the families next holiday. It had been so
long since he had really gotten away he just felt like he needed a break
now. Some time to let his hair down, so to speak. He wanted to bond with
the whole family. He would have to bring it up later with Adele and in the
castle with Mark and Logan. He would want to get some idea's of where
everyone wanted to go. He also wanted to know where Adele wanted to
go most in the world. Seeing as they had never had their honeymoon
because of their break up so shortly after their wedding it had to be
cancelled. Now that had been an upsetting time for Riley after all he had
spent so much time and effort trying to make it perfect, he would have
done it again but he got the Professor's job and things just got out of
hand with his work life and then his home life being constantly juggled. He
was actually surprised that he had lasted so long with out dropping a ball.
He did have his friends and family to thank for that though. They had
helped him through so much and they probably didn't realise just how much
they had helped him. He was so grateful that he had such good friends. Even
if he didn't have loads of friends, the ones that he did have were irreplaceable
and he would do anything for them. He also knew that most of his friends were
Adele's friends and he felt slightly bad that when they had split up she didn't
really have anyone except Izaak and Cyndi. Well kind of Cyndi any way. He
knew she wasn't one to take sides and he was happy for that, even if he had
not liked the idea of her being with any of his friends then he was glad she had
people to help her through the tough time the pair had gone through together.
If anything he would have to say he was glad they had broken up. It had made
them both realise just how much they meant to each other and gave them a
taste of life with out each other. It had opened their eyes and now they were
closer as a couple after going through that.

As Riley put a spoon full of corn flakes in his mouth he looked down as his cat,
Whiskers, as she walked in. He had taken her with him when he had moved from
Cyndi's place. He had also taken his turtle, Speedy, with him although he wasn't
too sure where the reptile was right now. He was kept out side in the garden
now and there was food out there so he was happy enough. Although he was
kind of a cat person Riley was thinking of getting a puppy soon. His cat never
went to close to him since he had become a Werewolf and it was starting to get
annoying. He thought that a dog wouldn't mind as much and if he got a puppy it
could grow to accept him and the cat so everyone was a winner. It was just a
matter of thinking of a good breed. He wanted one that was good with kids and
wasn't aggressive. He was thinking of getting a Rhodesian Ridgeback, they were
usually quite timid by nature, they weren't too big and they didn't malt a lot in the
Summer. They were also nicer looking dogs in his opinion. Maybe he could slip that
in with today, buying a dog for the pair of them as a birthday activity. He was sure
that Adele would like something like that. If not then he could always do it some
other day When Adele was out with Lowan, surprise her with a puppy when she came
home. At least he could see her smile at it. He loved it when she smiled, it made him
smile every time. It was strange how Adele was the only one in the house who was
not part veela and yet to Riley she was the most beautiful girl in the world. He really
couldn't ask for a better wife or a better mother for his child. The couple had been
together for nearly three years now and those three years had been the best years
of his life and even though it had been a bit of a bumpy ride to get from there to where
they were now he knew that it was going to always be as great as it was now. He just
could wait to be spending the rest of his life with her. He knew that before than thought
would have scared him a lot, the thought of only being with one woman for the rest of
his life but now he was looking forward to it, Adele was the one and he couldn't see
himself with a more perfect woman than her. They were truly a match made in heaven

As he slowly ate his breakfast and eyed the cat who was slowly making her way
around him, keeping her distance and eyes on him at all times, he couldn't help but
chuckle at her. He loud stamp of his foot was enough to make her scraper out of
the room. It wasn't like he could make her not like him more and besides she was
already scared of him. He looked up to the ceiling as he heard movement. Looks
like Adele was out of bed now. He would have stayed up there but he wanted
Adele to change in piece. He knew it could be slightly awkward changing in front
of someone and it was nothing he had not seen before anyway and not to mention
he wanted to get breakfast sooner rather than later so her day could begin quicker.
Although the sun was not fully up yet it was still slightly light outside and it would
be nice to walk around when the world was just starting to wake up. He had used
to do it when he was younger, just go out in the morning and enjoy the quiet and
stillness of everything, knowing it would last but also feeling like he was the only
other person in the world. Those had been the days, back when he actually had
the time to be able to escape life for a while. He was old enough and wise enough
now to know that escaping life wasn't the answer and it was only in facing life and
its problems that got results. He had learn greatly from his past mistakes and to be
old and wise one must first be young and reckless. And Riley had certainly been
young and reckless to be young and wiser now. He felt wiser when he was in the
castle and students came to him for help and then he helped them better than
they had expected. Thats when he felt really smart. He could still hear his wife
moving around up stair and the wardrobe opening and closing and she got clothes
out of it. He wondered what dress she was going to wear when they went out for
dinner, she always looked so beautiful when she was dressed up, even when she
dressed down she was amazing. He mused on that thought before making himself
laugh by thinking about what her idea of casual was going to be today. He knew
that sometimes casual for her and casual for a normal person where two
completely different things. He hoped she was sensible today in terms of clothing.
It was going to be cold by the water and he didn't want her freezing to death. He
would bring one of her think hoodies with him just in case that did happen. One of
them had to take charge one things like this and him being the most mature would
be the one to do it.

As Riley chewed the food which he had popped in to his mouth he heard a shatter.
He stopped suddenly in shock. For a moment he thought that he had done it but it
had come from upstairs and no sooner did he realise this did he hear Adele's voice
shouting for him. He quickly panicked and dropped his spoon on the floor and
sprinted through the hall. Only to be delayed when he tripped over one of Lowan's
toys. He face planted at speed and did a few barrel rolls. He had been running quite
fast so it was a violent fall. Luckily for him it the floor was carpeted so it was a
softer landing. He stood up a little slower than he would have like and half limped
up the stairs. He had fell awkwardly on his ankle so it was hurting to walk on now.
As he got to the end of the hall outside of their bedroom he saw Adele on the
ground picking things up. He sighed in relief that she was not dying or anything.
He knelt down besides her and picked up the bowl pieces. "Don't worry iv got this.
Just take the other stuff down stairs."
He said to her slightly panicked but he was
calming down now he saw she had only dropped something. He took his wand out
and with a quick flick the broken pottery and mess were guided over to their bedroom
bin. He didn't want to do it by hand because that could mean sharp bits still left on
the floor and Lowan or other people in the house could get hurt and he didn't want
blood on the carpet, even if it was a red carpet. Also he didn't want any one hurt.
Once he had finished that he limped back to Adele and took a few things off the tray
to help her out a bit more. "Shesh I thought you were like dying up there." He said
with a laughed as he walked with her. He knew she always blew things like that out
of proportion but when in the moment he never liked to take the risk of not going to
her just in case something bad had happened. He wouldn't be able to live with himself
is it was down to him that the woman he loved had been injured badly or worse

AH To much to read and not enough time to read it in. Haha. :p

Typical. Once again Adele could hear Riley before she could see him. A thud came from downstairs, if that wasn't Riley falling over then it was some kind of troll. But thinking it was Riley, Adele wondered if he had injured himself or not. She certainly hoped not. Injuries were the last thing that Adele needed on her birthday, and she did not wish to spend her birthday in hospital, whether it was because of Riley or not. Not to mention the fact that Adele hated hospitals and would do anything in the world to avoid them.

Thinking about all this reminded Adele of Tyson, she hadn't visited his grave in ages and maybe today would be a good day to. Her little brother, however annoying, had always bought her some amazing birthday presents and went to the ends of the earth to get them for her. As Riley arrived at the bedroom door Adele considered mentioning it to him. She really thought it was a good idea, and no matter how long it had been since his death, Adele would always miss her baby-brother. They were closer than most siblings, and Adele was still partly forgiving Mark for what he had done, it was difficult. It wasn't exactly Mark's fault, but had the pair of them not fought in the first place, then maybe Tyson would have still be alive today. How stupid of them, to fight by the cliff-face, they were tempting fete no matter what, and for Tyson, it ended in a quick, but painful death. Adele wondered whether Mark ever felt bad about the fact that the pair never got the chance to apologize to each other for what they had done. After all, Mark was the one who was still alive, you couldn't say Tyson was guilty, he was dead, and branding him guilty would just ruin his memory. But Adele knew that she couldn't put the whole blame on Mark, and she tried her best not to think about it whenever she saw his face. Adele had been deep in thought and only caught bits of Riley's comment, but she understood enough to know that he had told her to go downstairs. Adele followed his instructions and waited for Riley in the kitchen.

Adele watched Riley limp towards her. She placed her hand on his shoulder then slowly rubbed it up and down his upper-arm a few times. "Are you okay sweetheart? Are you injured?" She asked worryingly. Adele hoped that he was okay, and it was just a small knock that would heal in 5 Minutes time, if not it was going to be one long day. Adele considered telling Riley about her idea before deciding it was bets to tell him before accidentally blurting it out. "So I was thinking we could pop by Tyson's grave at some point today..." Adele smiled sweetly at Riley. "Reckon you can fit that into our busy schedule?" She asked with a giggle as she stood close to Riley, she put her hands on his cheeks then smiled widely at him. "I Love You." She told him happily, before giving him a short kiss on the lips, but it meant a lot nonetheless. The couples break-up had almost brought the closer together, whereas before they only knew each others good points, now they knew their bad-points, and what buttons weren't for pushing, unless you wanted to be extremely cheeky. Adele was happy that they were now happily back together...Like One.

The pain in Riley's ankle had levelled out now, it wasn't getting any more
painful but it wasn't getting any less either. If he just kept walking on it then
it should get better, if not a good old flick of the wand would soon fix it perfectly.
He didn't want to make a fuss about it on his wifes birthday, he could brave it for
the day. Besides it was no where near as painful as turning in to a werewolf every
full moon. Now that he felt he was allowed to make a fuss over seeing as it was
the most painful experience in his life which was going to keep happening for the
rest of his life. Riley swallowed hard as he reached the bottom of the stairs. His
heart rate had returned to normal now after seeing that there was nothing to be
excited about, Adele was fine just a little over the top but he was used to that
now. As long as wasn't hurt was all that mattered to him.

As he walked next to Adele she said that she wanted to go visit Tyson's grave.
He still found it strange how his cousin had been best friends with Adele's little
brother but he had never met her. It was a small world. He also found it
disturbing how young her brother had died. Fourteen year olds were not meant
to die. "Of course we can. He is your family. I do think Mark will want to join us on
that trip though, they were best friends after all.
"
He said as he looked down at
her. How their families had been linked was almost a strange way of fate saying
that they were meant to be together. He was glad all the same, not for the death
of the young teenager but because of the link between the smith's and Mathews,
well it was the Stones and the Mathews first. "I love you too." He said affectionately
as he kissed her head. He had always loved Adele, in some way or another. When
he had first met her he loved how flirty and determined she was, now he still loved
that, but he loved everything else about her too. "Shall we do that first then? Go to
the muggle shop down the road and get some flowers as well if you want."
He said
to her wondering if she would want to lay flowers on his graves like others did. He
would have to visit his dads and his mothers grave soon. He usually did that on
mothers day and fathers day. It seemed more appropriate like that. Not that he
really wanted to go to his fathers grave, not after all the things that he had done
he was a real peice of work but he was family after all so Riley had to to it. Just like
Blakes grave. It made him sad to think of how many family graves there were for him.
It also made him realise just how much family matter, evenb if his family was Theo. You
carn't choose your family, just put up with them.

Adele looked down as Riley mentioned Mark. She had hoped that Tyson's death wasn't going to get to her on her birthday, she wanted today to be full of happiness and nothing but happiness. And as long as she was spending the day with her gorgeous husband, then nothing was going to change that. Well, Adele hoped not anyway. He was through his depressed thoughts now and seemed much happier in himself, and Adele wanted things to stay that way.

"Thank-You." She told Riley, stroking her hand down his arm with a sweet smile. "And I love you even more." She said to him cheekily with a small giggle. before hearing the rest of what Riley had to say. "Flowers would be perfect..." She paused for a moment and looked down as she swallowed back the tears, before looking back up at Riley and weakly smiling. "Flowers, my drop-dead gorgeous husband and Tyson..........perfect." A tear fell from Adele's eye as she finished speaking, she wiped it away before briefly resting her head on Riley's shoulder then raising it again. "Ohhh...I promised myself I wouldn't cry today." She said with a quick, and slightly tearful laugh.

It had take a lot of courage for Adele to get over Tyson's death, and now she had just about gotten over it. But that wasn't to say she didn't miss him, just saying his name flooded back the memories, and that's what was happening now. She loved her little brother with all the most family love that she could muster, and now she just wanted to sit at his grave and remember the good times, and having Riley there to hug were would make this birthday special, and one to remember.

Riley knew that this was a very sensitive topic for Adele to be talking about
and he respected that. He knew what it was like loosing a much loved family
member and knew that it took time to get over something like that, although
one never truly got over it. He would just love and support her through it until
it got easier for her to bear. That was his job as her husband. Just like she
had supported him when he had gone through that 'depression' and even
though he was not totally out of it Riley was a lot better than he was and was
quickly returning to the man she had married. "Don't worry about it. Its
expected, he was your little brother your allowed to cry."
He said wrapping his
arm around her and resting his cheek on her head. He would wait to wake Mark
up, he knew the risk's of waking a sleeping teenager and since there was two
teenagers sleeping in that room he would wait until they were about twenty
minutes away from leaving. He would let Adele decide what they were to do
first, whether that was to go and visit Tyson's grave or go have a picnic by the
waterfall or what ever.

Riley lent down and wiped away a tear from her face and smiled softly at her.
"Come on, il put the kettle on." He said softly. A kettle, a muggle device which
he had gotten accustomed to since moving here. There were many muggle
devices in this house which he had been introduced by from the previous owners
and had found them most useful. Although he could make a cup of tea quickly with
magic he liked the feeling of using the muggle things as it was new to him. "Tea,
two sugars. Like usual." He said
as he ran his large hands through her long dark
hair. Like running his hand through silk. He was not usually a tea drinker but he
knew that the first drink of the day had to be a cup of tea, it tasted like heaven
in a cup. It was certainly the small pleasures in life that had the biggest impact
on a person's life. Just like meeting a girl one day and starting off as nothing
but a fling then three years later she end's up your wife and the mother of your
son.

Adele shot Riley a confident smile as he comforted her. She wasn't gonna let tears ruin her special day. The day that only came one in every 365 days. If this one wasn't happy, then none of them in the future would be, so Adele was determined to get things going. "Thank-You." Adele whispered, leaning up to him to speak before kissing his cheek. She then walked over to the sofa and plonked herself on it as she waited for Riley to make her a drink. He would only insist on making it if she offered to, but Adele didn't mind, it was sweet of him, and she knew as well as Riley did that a cup of tea always made everyone feel better. It was warm and calming. And a cup to cling onto to warm your hands, and the warmth reaches your heart when you feel like screaming. The cups were very much like Riley, you only have to touch them to make you feel warm and comforted.

Adele took the cup of tea from Riley then smiled. "A tea, with two sugars, and also with the added flavor of love from Mr Riley..." Adele joked, before letting out a childish giggle. She loved messing around with him, it was always fun. So much so that Adele decided to continue the teasing. "Although just a simple cup of tea isn't gonna quench my thirst...I need something warmer...something steaming hot, that keeps me entertained for hours..." Adele paused for a second. "And I believe that something...has black hair....is a complete show-off who loves himself...but is also the perfect match for me and is absolutely gorgeous...I'm told his name is Riley...do you know him?" Adele asked innocently as she tried not to laugh.

Riley smiled softly at her as she thanked him and kissed him on the cheek.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her tight. Kissing her
neck softly as he comforted her. "You don't need to thank me, I love you
and it make me sad to see you sad."
He said quietly as he held her in his
strong arms. He ran his hand through her soft brown hair, enjoying the silky
feeling of it. Because of his busy work schedule he hardly ever got real time
alone with his much loved wife and right now it was all he wanted. A smile
came to his face, a few years back, before he had even met Ana he would
never have seen himself where he was now. He couldn't see himself married
with a family and three jobs. It seemed too mature for him back then but
then again since he had met Adele he had slowly grown up but when she
had told him she was pregnant that was when he rapidly grew up and got
a job, moved out and got this house for them to live in and took responsibility
for his two cousins.

Releasing her as she went and sat down on the couch Riley chuckled slightly
and shook his head. "Ok the tea two sugars i can do quick but the added love
flavour could take a while, i mean im talking like half an hour or more."
He
said with a wink and he laughed and walked in to the kitchen. As he made the
tea Riley listened to Adele as she spoke to him, he grinned as he listened
"Wow what ever your thinking off sounds like a good time, I should really
try it some time. And this Riley guy sounds dreamy, you mind if I go gay one
more time."
He joked as he walked back in the room and handed Adele her tea
"Just the way you like it but i didn't have time to add my flavour too it so i
guess you will have to hold yourself back until later when you want a real drink."

He said with a wink and he sat next to her and rubbed his hand up her legs slowly.
"If your looking for something hot i have just the thing you need." He said
seductively as his hand carried on with its exploring up her upper thigh.

Adele burst out into laughter as she listened to Riley speak from the kitchen. She wondered what Riley meant when he asked her if she minded him going gay once more...had he been gay in the past? Adele left it, she had only just got him back, she didn't want to loose him again. She giggled at Riley's words as she waited for him to return. "Hmm I bet he is dreamy...but surely that'd be pretty weird...I mean...being gay with Yourself...come on that's strange." Adele laughed as she playfully hit Riley on the arm. The two of them always had fun together, just seeing Riley's face in the mornings was enough to make her smile. On the odd occasion, Adele had been awake before him and she soon found that watching him sleep was the most peaceful experience ever. It was calm and cute, the perfect way to wake up.

As Riley joined her on the sofa again, Adele smiled at him as she listened to him speak. "Oh I can wait for the real drink, because I'm sure it will have....how shall I put it...added flavour?...But as for something hot..." Adele paused as she placed her hand on Riley's hand; the hand on her thigh. "I think just having you is enough to full-fill that requirement." Adele then moved her hand as she leaned over Riley. She playfully ran her fingers up his chest then un-did the top 3 buttons of his shirt with her tender and pale fingers. "Sorry...I couldn't help myself...I just thought you needed some cooling off..." Adele giggled as she spoke seductively.

When Riley heard Adele's laughter he couldn't help but join in laughing. It
was more contagious than a cold was, hearing her laugh. "Oh I don't know.
I would certainly find the mirror a turn on that's for sure. And with a body
like mine, its every guys dream."
Riley said with a grin as he took a sip of
his tea. The sweetness was obvious as he drank but he liked sweet tea,
just like he preferred sweet coffee too. He had a sweet tooth, the main point
in how he liked hot drinks. "You sure you can wait I mean it's been a long
while since we had a drink, before that break up so thats like what before
Christmas.....Like a year ago. Wow has it seriously been that long. Man
how on earth did that happen, I have some serious self control."
He
said with a frown as he sat back and thought about where the year had
gone. Had it seriously been that long since he and his wife had been
interment. He guessed that with all his work and then his son needed
attention, they were always preoccupied with other things to be focussed
on that but normally his body would have spoken up. He sighed slightly. It
just went to show how different he was now.

"Are you sure, i can make it steaming hot if you like." He said with a grin
as she undid his first three buttons. "Oh you will have to do more than
that to cool this stallion off baby thats for sure."
He said putting his cup
on the coffee table and leaning across on her and kissed her lips
passionately. Now he had realised how long it had been he was gagging. He
rested one hand on her waist and the other on her cheek as he kissed her.

Adele laughed at Riley's comment about the Stallion. She enjoyed indulging in his passionate kiss before replying to his comment. Adele grabbed Riley's shirt and pulled him in closer so that he was practically on top of her as she continued to kiss him. The kiss lasted for quite a while before Adele finished it and spoke up again, continuing to hold Riley close. "Actually, now that I come to think of it, I think cooling you off would be a bad idea...lets steam it up baby." Adele didn't care if they were trying to hold back anymore, she wanted him and that was final. Adele kissed Riley, only keeping it short before un-doing the rest of the buttons on his shirt.

"That's better baby." She told him seductively in a low-pitched voice, before removing his shirt completely and wrapping her arms around his neck. She loved having some intimate time with Riley, as fun as it was, it also meant a lot to her. The couple rarely got some quality time alone together, they were both full-time parents and Riley's jobs meant that they couldn't always be together for all that long, so they had to make the most of the time they had. And today they had the whole day to waste away; just thinking of what today was going to bring excited Adele. She kissed Riley's lips with a wide smile on her face, allowing her mouth to catch onto his bottom lip as she sunk in to what she intended to be an extremely long, intimate, and passionate kiss.

5ewuab.jpg

It felt good to be with Adele in such an intimate way once again. They
had been so busy playing the role of the responsible adult it seemed that
had forgotten about each others needs. At least now they were alone
and that was no longer a problem. They had all day to do what they
pleased and seeing as it was Adele's birthday, she would be the one in
charge. He pulled away for a few moments as she spoke. "I thought you
would say that."
He replied with a cheeky grin before making contact
with her lips once more. He liked how it never took much persuasion to
get Adele to come over to his side on this sort of matter, He could
remember having a girl friend who never did anything unless he worked
his guts out to try. It was the main reason they had not lasted. He never
had that problem with Adele, then again he never had any problems with
Adele. It was always him thinking more of something than it deserved then
making something small a problem which she would have to show him was
nothing.

Riley followed her lead as she bit his bottom lip it was not something she
usually did to him but he had no complaints about it, in fact he rather liked
it. As she unbuttoned his shirt he took it off once it was fully unbuttoned.
Throwing it across the room as he leant back down half dressed to kiss his
wife once more, working her shirt up as he did so.

Adele giggled at Riley's comment. "You know me tooooo well Riley Smith." She told him, placing her hand gently against his cheek as she kissed him again and again. She had missed this. The innuendoes, the dirty comments, infact, it was even good just to have the old Riley back. He had been depressed, and not himself for a while, but this just showed that the Riley Smith that Adele had married was well and truly back. Adele just hoped that the only drinks being made would be made for himself and her, and no-one else.

As Adele felt Riley lift her top up, she smiled widely, things really were back to how they were before. Less of the talking, and more the love that they had for each other being shown. Adele loved the fact that she could get away with so much when she was with Riley, it had it's boundaries, but in Adele's eyes, the more fun had, the better. She hated being down, so these happy times were what made life worthwhile. Adele remembered that as she pulled away for a brief second to lift her shirt over her head before pushing herself back onto Riley, and placed her hands at either side of his neck. "The saying is true...actions DO speak louder than words." Adele said cheekily as her hands slowly trailed down from his neck, around his broad shoulders then down his side, stopping at his waist, then searching for his belt.
