Zora wanted to explore the entire castle, she wanted to see things that she never would have in case her parents decided to pull her from actual school and home school her like they had wanted to. She knew that they really didn't want her going to a regular school anyway because they had felt that it was this way that children got ideas about their worth, they also felt that the duelling that was encouraged was dangerous as they were both fairly pacifistic. So with that in mind she walked up to the towers and up to the Owlrey. Maybe there she would meet a friendly owl who would send them a letter that she hadn't written yet or maybe she would just get to see the entire grounds from there. Either way, she was just happy for the walk. She had wore a green crocheted hat that her grandma had magically crocheted for her, a green cardigan that used to be her mom's and a pair of black jeans and t shirt so she looked as if she was a Slytherin when in fact green was just her favourite colour. She hoped that people wouldn't think she was pretending or something silly like that as she was happy with her house and because she knew that she never wanted to upset anyone.

Upon arriving into the owlrey she heard a few screeches and she assumed that some of the owls wanted a few treats and thought she had some when she really didn't. The girl walked towards a particularly calm owl and put her hand out cautiously, knowing it could nip at her but hoping it wouldn't, she wanted to pet the pretty owl. She didn't have one of her own nor did her family have one. Only Basquiat had a pet, a white cat who seemed more familiar than pet as it followed him around at basically all times. Really the cat just loved her brother and seemed to find her irritating as she had pulled her tail a few times when Zora was little and hadn't learnt that lesson yet. Still Zora wasn't jealous of having a pet because she knew one day she'd be able to have as many creatures as she could. She'd probably start with a bat because they ate bugs and were very helpful. It also helped that she thought they were adorable. Lost in thought, Zora was nipped on her pointer finger and gasped in the pain of it. "Ouch that hurt," she told the owl but wasn't upset with it. It really was her own fault and she accepted it.
