A few days ago, Thomas had received the news from his agent that he had to go on tour for two months, it was of course unexpected, because he vowed to put his musician's career aside for the next few years to focus on his family. Also, now that he's starting his dream job, he hasn't written much lately except for about three new songs. Therefore, he really did not know what to do now. Thomas hadn't said anything to Allison yet, because all these few days he had thought about saying yes or no to the agent, that in the end we agreed, however, when he heard that she wouldn't be able to go with him this time, he immediately said no, because the family always went with him. He was even afraid to imagine what kind of lightning would come to his head from Allison's side.

Finished work in St. Mungo's Thomas went home, the five of them now lived in Allison's father's house, which was just perfect for their large family. He unlocked the door then went inside and as always his daughter ran in first and then the twins. "Hello, my little monsters! Where's your mom?'' he asked the children, taking his daughter on his lap, who told them that Allison was in the kitchen. Thomas took a deep breath, then lowered his daughter to the ground and told them to go play.

Thomas stood for a moment longer in the hallway that separated him from the kitchen. All he had to do was take the steps and walk in it. He stood in the hallway for another minute, then went to the kitchen. "Good evening my sunshine! How was your day?'' he decided to start with a normal conversation before delivering his important message.

Allison had settled into life quite nicely- she was working as a werewolf activist with varying success, and had even started work as a researcher (which did come with a better salary, she would admit) on top of being a mom. She had three wild, beautiful children. Her father had moved out of the house to live with uncle Eddie. She thought it was sweet, honestly, though she did understand there were more facets to them moving to Eddie's house rather than keeping her childhood home. And honestly, it had been the most amazing gift in the world to be able to raise her family here just as she had been.

She was in the kitchen working on dinner when Thomas walked in, greeting her. She turned, raising a brow. "Good evening," She replied back, putting a handon her hip. "What did you do this time?" She asked, able to tell just by looking at her husband that he was hiding something. She'd been reading up on anger management, knowing that she had a temper and that it wasn't her best feature. She held one hand up before he could speak. "Wait! Before you tell me, I want a kiss first," She smiled impishly. "You may not get any after," She teased him.

Thomas stood looking at his wife, even though she already knew he was hiding something, Allison knew him too well. He tried not to show any unnecessary emotions that would betray him even more. "There was a lot of work in the department today," he answered his wife's question. Then came the words that derailed him a little. Thomas smiled, then wrapped his arms around Allison and pulled her closer for a kiss. It was full of passion because sooner or later he would receive a good slap and worse a couple of harsh words that he would even have to sleep in the living room tonight. "On the contrary, you'll be the one who doesn't want to do it," he said, not letting her go, and then took a deep breath.

"The manager called me a couple of days ago. In two days I have to go on tour for two months. Only, honey there's a big but..'' he started a sentence but didn't finish because he really needed to find the right words, although it would be hard to do. Thomas knew he would just have to tell Allison she couldn't go with him this time, then he could wait for the lightning to fly overhead.

Allison leant into the kiss, one hand playing with his hair. When he pulled back, just enough to talk, she let it fall to his chest, quirking a brow and making sure to keep her breathing even. Whatever he was going to tell her, it was going to be fine. Eventually. She let him speak, tapping her fingers against his chest. "If you think I'm going on tour with you, you're wrong," She cut him off. "Damn it, Thomas! We have three little kids. You're going to be gone for two months?" She scolded him. "What about your work as a healer? They're alright with you just taking off?" She pulled back, pinching the bridge of her nose and taking a deep breath. "Okay, okay," She took a deep breath, pointing back to the living room. "You better go spend time with the kids while I figure out how the hell to rework routines for the next two months."

Thomas loved that she was playing with his hair. His wife's next actions were predictable, because he knew his beloved wife too well. Therefore, he stepped back from Allison. "I wasn't going to offer you that at all, because I knew exactly what your answer would be." he refused. "Allison, I know. I'm doing it for them. Two months will go by quickly." he tried to calm her down a little. "The work of a healer is important to me. However, music is also important. You know that very well. I'll talk at work, because I'm also entitled to a vacation. After which I'll have to forget about music, because I'll finally have to choose which department I'll work in." he took a step closer to her, if he hits once, then he really deserves it. "Darling, stop.. but you don't have to think of anything alone, we can do it together because we are a team.''

Allison shook her head, focusing on her breathing and making herself calm down. "You can still write songs, you dummy," She countered. "Release singles instead of albums and just do the occasional show instead." She walked a bit away, rolling her neck. "Don't think you have to do everything around here, you know." She turned back to him with a small smile, still agitated but not as angry as she had been. "I'm not upset with you for going- I'm upset you didn't talk to me about it." She put one hand on her hip. "We're supposed to make these bigger decisions together, not just you popping in and telling me after the fact that something is happening."

Thomas looked at his wife, listening carefully to everything she said to him, and she was right. "I do that from time to time, but there isn't much time left, sunshine," he said. ''We also talked about releasing an album, but I don't even know about concerts.'' he wanted to pull her closer and hug her tightly, so as not to get too angry with her. Of course, Thomas knew that he didn't have to do everything alone, but he considered it his duty to take care of his family. He put his hand on her waist. ''I'm sorry I didn't talk to you about it, but I made this decision myself. This will be the last time, I promise.'' he said. ''I know, sunshine. We are the team. We will decide all future decisions together. I love you.''

Two months later, Thomas returned home from the tour. He had sent Allison letters and pictures. He returned home two weeks before his sons' birthday. He didn't have the slightest idea if his wife was still angry with him, but he hoped not. During the tour, he had written a song for Allison that he was going to play when he got home. However, Thomas was more afraid that she would have gone with all the children to her father's and the house would be empty. When he reached the door, he stood for a moment, but then opened the door with his key. He put the bag and the guitar case in the hallway. "Hi! I'm back. Is anyone home?" he said loudly, listening to the footsteps of the children running towards him and of course the beautiful voice of his wife.

The next two months were busy in the Jusantrea home. Allison had her hands full with all her kids, glad that her sister and her dad had been in and out to help her out. She hummed happily as she worked on dinner that night, a family favorite. She had just popped it into the oven when she heard a familiar voice calling from the front. Her heart skipped. Well, color her surprised. Unable to help but grin, Allison walked to the doorway. She leant against it, laughing and watching as her kids assaulted their father. "Well, look what the winds blew in." She teased gently, giving him a warm smile. "If you wanted what I was making for dinner, you could've just asked, I could be persuaded to cook it again."

Thomas was afraid that he would not hear familiar voices. Then he heard a voice so familiar that it made his heart do several somersaults in his chest with happiness, and then the children also ran to him, hugging and clinging to him like three little thistles, and Thomas also wrapped his arms around them. Then he looked at his wife, smiling at her. "The winds were strong enough that they blew me inside to the suns of my life," he said flirtatiously, smiling softly and warmly at her. "Of course I would like dinner, although right now I would be ready to eat even cold ones," he refused. ''There are gifts in that black bag for you. Take them and look at them.'' Thomas gave the black bag to his sons, then all three of them hurried to the living room to look at them. He walked closer to Allison. "Hello, Zoe. I miss you very much."
