Best Friends Hanging Out

Kasey was really excited about this Brighstone trip. She was going to hang out with her new best friend, Ashley. The girl was friendly, nice, kind, a total friend material for Kasey and top of it all they shared many things in common. She picked out one of her favorite outfit and put on some make up. She was wondering if she would see Jay, she doubted it. However if they met it would surely be some happy times.

She waited for Ashley at the Entrance Hall where they had decided to meet. Looking at the crowd of students that made their way through the forest path towards the village she grinned. Finally people were taking some time out from the heavy pressure of their exams especially the fifth and sixth years who had OWLs and NEWTs respectively.

Ashley consider to sleep the whole morning not bothering to go at Brighstone, the minute her alarm clock rang she just remembered that she have to meet Kasey at the Entrance hall. Kasey had offered her to go with her at Brighstone to know each other better and make some shopping as well.

Making herself up great, she took a great hurry shower and put on her clothes. Letting her hair fall with a rubber head band, Ashley took another glance at herself int he mirror and smiled. She was fine by the inside but on the outside makes her ugly.

Making her way down at Entrance hall not even getting her breakfast, note to self that she had to get some food at the village. Looking for Kasey, it took her ages to find her and there she was .. beside the door of the Entrance hall. Ashley walked where Kasey is and smiled, "I'm really sorry for my lateness ... I have to change that routine starting tomorrow." She told her. Ashley was always late and her professor doesn't bother by it anymore, she gets high grades anyway.

Kasey smiled at Ashley as she apologized for being late. "Hey, thats okay. Besides, I just got here a few minutes ago" she said grinning at her new bestie. It was a good autumn day, not to sunny because of some light clouds and hopefully it would even rain by noon. Smiling at the sky because the weather was just the way she liked it she said "It's a good day for hanging out"

Walking through the dense forest path that led to the Brightstone village she informed "I need some candies, I have run out of sugar quills and even the candy bucket my mother gifted is about to get over. My sugar level would fall instantly if I stopped living off candies" Laughing slightly at her own candy needs. "What about you? Is there something special you need to get?"she asked Ashley as they entered Brightstone village.

The village was of course filled with Hogwarts students and other witches and wizards. She remembered that Lila had told her to keep an eye out for some dresses so that the shopping pressure for the wedding would be divided amongst the ladies that is, Lila, Maddiie and Kasey. "Ashley do you stay in NewZealand? For the holidays?"she asked her friend curiously. Whether she said yes or no but Kasey was planning to convince Ashley to come and stay with her for the holidays and attend the wedding as well

Ashley sigh for relieved, at least Kasey didn't get irritated at her. Her brother's always get's irritated on her for being late and lazy when they got to places they have to go. While getting her dress wipe for any sign of dirty when she got down from her dorm, Kasey said that is a good day to hang out. Ashley nodded and smiled, "It will surely be ... every time I go out, it rains. I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky." Ashley told Kasey sarcastically even though its always true.

As they walked through the forest going to Brighstone, Kasey told her about her love of candy. She then remember her childhood when she slept with candies all over her bed and ants where crawling onto her. Lucky she didn't got bitten, getting back to the present Kasey had asked her what special she will get.

"Oh, maybe some chocolates and clothes. My mom sends me money to buy them." She told her, her mother sends her money and she will just buy whatever she wanted but her father is different from her mother. Ashley's father knows what Ashley wanted and that's what he sends to her. "I'll start buying some chocolates first then clothes."

"Wow that must be fun" Kasey said happily as Ashley told her about the rain thing and her luck. Kasey missed those days when she was a child and would drench herself in the rains she just loved that experience and wondered when she would be able to do that again. Surely not when she was in school, maybe later once she graduated.

"My mom gives me some money to during holidays and then my brother keeps on meeting me during Brightstone weekends and such and when I drag him to shop with me I ensure that I empty his pockets" she said laughing in her hand. She just loved shopping with Benjamin who always got her what she wanted. "I too... chocolates is like just so tempting and irresistible" she said with a smile. "So shall we break into Honeydukes?"she asked her friends as they entered the Brightstone High Street where most of the famous shops and restaurants were located.

"Fun you say, I say its a curse. Maybe that curse my younger brother yelled at me. What a jerk." She said shaking her head in disappointment. Ashley remember that and just laugh at Tom, she really doesn't believe in curses and other junks. But now, she really believe it and will kill Tom for sure when she get back this summer.

Kasey then told her about her mom too gives her money and meeting her brother on brightstone weekends. She then misses her older brother who she sees only when Andrew owl her to meet him somewhere. Well, she's lucky because she's going to see Andrew tomorrow at Makutu Mall.

"Yeah, let's go." Ashley agreed to Kasey going at Honey Dukes first. "I want liquorish wand, me and my step sister always ate this on her room. That kid has always a stack of Liquorish wand on her drawer." Ashley chuckled and sigh.

Kasey laughed as Ashley said that it was a curse. "I've always grown to love rain" she told Ashley. When she could feel the rain drops on her skin, it was the best feeling possible. She even considered that a wish in the first rain of the season comes true however she had never tried it yet but she was sure to experiment it now that she knew about the belief.

"I too am running low on sugar quills, chocolate frogs and bertie botts every flavored beans" she said excitedly knowing the fact that she would soon have her pockets full of candy. No matter how old one was, candy was always sweet and close to heart. Entering Honeydukes with her friend she grinned watching all the Hogwarts students bargaining and trying on new candy products.

Walking to the counter she grinned looking at all the stocked candy that was put to display. Her eyeballs would pop out in excitment. "Excuse me" she told to one of the familiar assistants who was free. "could you help us please" she said waiting for them to be assisted. Kasey smiled as Ashley talked about liquorish wands, they had been Ben's favorite.Maybe she could owl him some candy.

They are much alike but not with the rain, Ashley hates it and will always bother you every night at the drops that it makes on the roof. "Don't you every wish to rain now." She said groaning. It will destroy her hair and outfit, making their way inside of Honey Dukes. Kasey called an assistant to assist them to what they will get, note to self to owl her brother and step sister with candies or else. She will send Tom a box of sugar quills and a liquorish wand for Chelsea.

"Whatever you say Ash" Kasey said with a smile as the assistant walked to them and asked them what they would like. "Could we get some liquorish wand , sugar quills, every flavored beans, mint chewing gum, chocolate frogs and ...what else?"she asked looking at Ash. Once they had given their orders the assitant helped them with their candy needs and they paid their galleons before walking out of the crowded sweet shop.

Chewing a mint gum she offered one to Ashley and spotted Madam malkins. "How 'bout we shop clothes before we head to lunch?"she asked grinning. Clothes, fashion and jewllery had taken over Kasey since fourth year and now she couldn't get done with it. She was ready to spend all her pocket money and the extra galleon bag that Ben had given her on clothes except leave a few for meals and some other needs.

As Kasey told the assistants what they need she asked Ashley if she needed something else, "No, I think that's all." Ashley told Kasey. After helping them and stocking the products in a paper bag, they went out of the shop and into the always busy street of Brightstone.

Kasey had offer her a mint gum and took some, "I guess we could and beside's I have a great stomach even though I don't eat breakfast its still not lurching." She giggled and chewed more on her gum.
