Ares flopped onto the grass on the side of the lake, he felt like swimming, but he didnt feel like getting wet. He sighed as he stared up at the sky "What to do, what to do?" he said to himself.

[LAME!! :p :p]

Avadia smiled dreamily, doing a little dance-walk around the castle. For possibly the first time while she had been at Hogwarts, she was wearing a dress. Apart from the Yule Ball, she never wore dresses. Allie had sent her this dress last year for her birthday, which was Christmas too. Ava wasn't sure which she was getting: birthday or Christmas presents. It was a warm September day, and Spring was finally here. Avadia hadn't met many of the first years, but the Ravenclaw firsties were strange. Half of them wanted to be in Slytherin, and the other half were too shy to be intersting.

Natasha had made her promise that she would play pranks on the first years, and Avadia agreed that she wouldn't.... until Christmas anyway. Her pale blue silk sundress floated as she dance-walked outside. She hadn't been to the lake at this school, it scared her.

Livz had drown in the Black Lake, the one in Scotland. She missed her friend, and every day that passed the grief was stronger. Because Livz had come back as a ghost, and Avadi had abandonded her best friend. She couldn't keep in contact with a ghost, there was no-one she trusted at the school to help Livz. Olivia Lewin was dead, and Allie had wanted Avadia to get as far away from the school, and her old life.

Only, that hadn't worked very well: half of Hogwarts Scotland had come to HNZ too. Every time Avadia saw someone she knew from Scotland, the grief flooded back. The only was she could get through life at the moment was to pretend. Pretend to not care about anything, and do everything in a daze. Livz had been so much more than a friend. She had been both of Avadia's parents after the accident, she had been there always. Life was a frail thing.

Avadia waltzed down to the lakeside, and stared into it's depths. What lurked under the inky surface? Ava didn't much want to know. A boy was sitting at the edge of the lake. The small girl didn't want to be alone, so she approached him. She was so lost in her thoughts, she didn't know if she had met him before or not. "Avadia Price." she whispered, as she sat down beside him. She smiled, and looked at the lake.

(Um... that was longer than I meant it to be!)

Ares was pulled from his boredem as a girl walked up to him whispered her name and sat down next to him, he sat up. "Ares Taylor" he replied grinning 'someone to talk to!' he thought.

"What brings you here this lovely afternoon?"Ares asked Avadia warmly.
