Astoria Snow let her amber eyes pull themselves away from the heating game she was viewing for a moment to hand over some galleons. A drink was handed back to her and Astoria gave the vendor and a smirk before she poked the straw into her mouth and headed away from the long line of customers he was gaining. It was a fairly nice day outside. The skies were clear and blue. It was neither too hot or too cold. Just in the middle. Which was probably a good thing for the players. The match was between Jarrett's team and some other team Astoria didn't really care about even the slightest bit. She wasn't really rooting or either team. The only reason she was here at all was because she felt obligated to go now that she was living in Jarrett's home. He had offered her a place to stay when she was homeless and through much arguing and bantering between the two, she ended up agreeing to stay at his house even if it pained her to do so. He was her rival. The one person she always wanted to be at her best when she faced. But he was able to witness her at one of her weakest moments and it made her sick just thinking about it. It was the last thing she ever wanted him to see and he saw it. He actually saw even more than that. That was what made the situation a hundred times worse. Trying to pretend like it never happened wasn't as easy as she hoped it would be. Astoria had been staying with Jarrett a little over five months. A long five months it had been too. Especially with them arguing and bickering like they did. It was like Astoria and Jarrett lived to bother one another, even if they unnoticeably had gotten closer than they were before. Astoria would make sure that Jarrett suffered at least a little bit while she was around. It was the only way she could keep her sanity. One of these days she swore she was going to snatch those damn sunglasses of his and see why they were so special. But she knew she needed to be shifty about it. Astoria narrowed her eyes as she passed by a group of men staring at her. Cheering could be heard so she assumed someone had just scored.

Heels clicked with every step she took as she headed down the stairs o the stadium that the game was being played in. Her eyes were stuck watching the game so she failed to pay attention to the act that had missed a step by accident. Suddenly Astoria felt the cup all from her hands and her body begin to all downwards. Her body, being pressed down by the weight of gravity steadily flew after her feet and down the stairs. A shriek was all Astoria could manage as she fell. Her body was prepared for the fall but instead she felt like she had been caught by someone instead. Amber eyes opened when she was sure she wasn't going to hit the ground. What had just happened there?

Tristane was enjoying the good weather outside because he was needing it for Quidditch today. He was not playing or anything. He was going to enjoy a good Quidditch game because he had nothing else to really do. He did not have any class to teach today, and he was going to work on getting some relaxation before he would be teaching others on music. Music was lovely, but he was not just any lover of music, but he loved watching Quidditch, which he was here with his older twin brother, Tylien. However Tristane did not find it necessary to bother with sitting near his brother though. He was kind of getting hungry and thirsty too. But his hunger was not nearly as strong as his thirst. Tristane decided that it would be best to leave the game where it was right now because it did not seem like it was going to be over anytime soon. He got up from his seat and he left the stands so that he would be able to find something to drink. He would have to look hard because he did not know where anything was around here. He was new somewhat. At least he had been more around this stadium than in his home in New Zealand. Tristane's amber eyes looked down at the stairs as he climbed down toward the place where there would be some drinks would be. Tristane soon found it and paid for his everchanging soda. He was drinking it out of the bottle, and it was amazing tasting right now. He was very parched. He could not wait to get back to the game because he could hear the crowds cheering.

Tristane was about to head up the stairs, when something he did not even know this was going to happen, but it did. The he was a gentleman by nature, but his appearance made it seem a lot more intense somehow. His one hand held the glass bottle, and he saw this beautiful female come falling down the stairs, however with a quick motion, he ended up catching the woman before she fell to a rather painful fall, that would have been but it was not like that because he had changed the course of the actions. Tristane did not even spill a drop of his soda either. His amber eyes looked down at the girl, and he could have sworn he had seen her before but he had dismissed the thought. He inquired, "Um, that was a close one." His English had gotten much better since he had been practicing with his other brothers. The accent was still there regardless, but he was a lot more understandable. Tristane was a better look at the woman he managed to catch, and he thought that she was amazingly beautiful, and was impressed with what luck he had. He had met another girl as a possible friend, but she was young. He decided that it would be best to take his hand off of her, and he smiled down at her. He did not know if she would want to stay and chat, of whatnot. But he definitely would not mind at all if he had spoken to her more. Tristane was a friendly fellow, but he could be sarcastic and mean only when provoked.

Astoria breathed out as she tried to get an idea of what had just happened. Thinking back she was able to remember that she had almost fallen down the steps. If it hadn't been for the stranger that caught her, she like would have been hurt by the fall. The drink she had recently purchased had fallen, however. Astoria's amber eyes could see the spilled liquid forming a puddle at the bottom of the stairs she had almost fallen down. Finally, Astoria allowed herself to look at the stranger that had saved her from falling. Her cheeks were suddenly aglow with a rosy colored blush. Her savior was extremely handsome. His eyes were easily the most beautiful thing about him too. Astoria adored boys with unique eye colors. Because they were different. Different was a good thing in her eyes. Astoria also loved boys with accents. Which her handsome stranger also seemed to have. Basically this stranger was a complete and utter babe in her eyes. Even more handsome than many of the other men that she had dated in her lifetime. Then again Astoria also had a powerful weakness for handsome men. Usually they turned out to be major jerks too. Astoria realized that she was being held within his arms just by the time he decided to release her form. This was a bit saddening to her because she was starting to get comfortable. "Thank you so much for that." Astoria mumbled as she started to get the feeling like she was being looked at or watched by no one else in the world but this stranger. For a moment she felt like she could be herself. The only other person in the world to see her like this was Jarrett. He was her rival so of course he would be able to see the true nature of her. Astoria could be cruel and sarcastic but soft and coy at the same time. Right now it felt like there was no one here but her and him. Call it childish, but Astoria was instantly hooked.

"Wow. If you hadn't caught me.....that might have become a really messy fall. Thanks again. That was really heroic of you." Astoria rolled her eyes and rubbed the back of her head. The eye roll was directed at herself for being an idiot. She felt really embarrassed right now. Hopefully she didn't look like an idiot for nearly falling on her butt. This guy seemed genuine though. Not like the kind of guy who would have teased her for it. Although, Astoria actually preferred a guy that would tease her, because her anger would then overpower her embarrassment and she would forget about the whole thing. She would only be focused on taking down that person. "My name is Astoria Snow. It looks like you already have a drink with you but, would you like...to come get another drink with me since I dropped mine? Would could watch the game together too if you'd like. It's the least I can do." Astoria winked and smirked coyly. The least she could do was do something nice for this guy. She would be willing to buy him another drink or something to eat. Right now one of those muggle sodas sounded really good to her. The last thing she needed right now was alcohol. Loud cheering filled the stadium and Astoria glanced back at the game. Had one of the teams just scored? Astoria couldn't see Jarrett anywhere so she wondered what he was up to. Maybe he was after a bludger? Forcing herself not to think of her rival while she had the chance to flirt with this handsome stranger, she hoped that he didn't become annoyed with her.

Tristane had never had this happen to him before, when some beautiful girl came right out of the skies so to speak and fall into his arms. He had never seen anything like it. He looked down with his amber eyes and he noticed that her drink had fallen, but his had not. Perhaps she was not exactly the most graceful of women ever. Perhaps these things happened to his brothers, but he was not too sure on it because he did not know about their love lives. He preferred not to know though. Some of his brothers were not the nicest either. Terrance was a straight up *******, and Tylien was just vindictive. The rest he did not know for sure because he did not take the time to really know them much at all. Tristane held his arms at his sides even the one that had the soda in it. He looked down at her and saw that her eyes were close resembling to his own, but he was sure that they were not related at all because his family seemed to produce more boys than girls before his parents split because of the pure-blood prejudic views or something like that. The mother did not have them and the father did, so the girls went with the mother and the boys went with the father. Tristane heard her thank him and a genuine smile spread across his lips as he nodded once at her. He was really lucky to have been here or else she would have been hurt, though not too bad but still hurt regardless. "It is no big deal." Tristane was quite humble. He did not know why he was like that but he was, and there was no big deal about it either. He was quite laid back, but he did not see a reason to be mean and tease her or anything like he would his sisters if that ever happened to them because it was funnier if it did. Tristane did not know what he was going to be getting into when it came to this girl that seemed familiar but he could not place it at all. Perhaps she was a Quidditch player too?

Amber eyes went to the puddle again before a laugh escaped his throat. She was right about that. Tristane shook his head and he said, "I am no hero. Just instinct and I guess spur of the moment type of thing." He really did not believe that he was a hero, because he would have done that to anyone, male or female, unless they were his siblings. Tristane heard her name, and he knew then she was a Quidditch player having read her name in the papers from time to time. She was...he could not remember the position, but he knew that she was not playing today. So, then why was she here? Maybe she had a friend that was playing right now or something. He did not know for sure, but he was hoping that his team would win. She asked if he would like to go get a drink with her and catch the rest of the game together. Well, he would not mind that at all. It was better than sitting with his twin. He smiled and said, "I'm Tristane Matthias. And I would love to. Better than sitting with my brother." There he made it sound like it was just something to get away from his brother before he added, "Not to mean anything bad from that. My English is not the best. What I mean to say is, I would love to join you." Tristane hoped that he did not sound like a complete and total jerk. Tristane only wanted to hang out with her and make a new friend. Tristane heard some people cheering, and he turned to look at the game, really wanting to see what was going on up there but he would find out later. Right now, this girl had his attention. The game could definitely wait.

Astoria quickly realized that this guy she had just met was actually, a very good guy. He seemed genuine, and he was also very humble. It was almost cute because Astoria wasn’t used to guys like that. After months and months of living with Jarrett, this was very unusual. Jarrett might have not let her fall, but he would have insulted her right after. Or might actually let her fall and do nothing to help her. It could go either ways with him. So meeting a really nice guys after having to put up with Jarrett, was a really change. Even if it was fun as hell bothering Jarrett as much as she did. This morning she was pretty sure he was thrilled to see that while he was getting ready, she had managed to eat his breakfast for him. Astoria did feel bad for eating his food but she didn’t feel like cooking and he had left it sitting right there! There was still some left over when she was done too so it wasn’t like she ate it all. Astoria had to resist the urge to smirk at the memory right then and there. ”Wow, really cute and humble. Trust me, it is. I don’t see a lot of kindness from people these days. So it’s just nice to see that someone different.” Astoria told the guy. It was nice to have at least one person out in the world be different from the way everyone else treated her. Everyone knew she partied. Astoria had been mentioned in the Daily Prophet plenty of times over her senseless partying and drinking. Oh and let’s not forget the articles about her engagements. A of people frowned upon that. If only the world knew why she did what she did. Then they might judge less harshly. Then there were also the people who hated her because she protected her brother like she did. Even if he was a criminal, he was still human. He was the only one who didn’t make her feel like a pile of nothing every damn day. He was her hero. But it seemed that she was a horrible person because she loved her brother and didn’t want anything to happen to him. More cheering occurred in the ground and Astoria could see one of the Chasers with a Quaffle. The announcer was talking about one of the players not paying attention or something. Astoria wondered who it was and what had just happened. Shrugging it off, she figured it couldn’t have been that important.

”Tristane, hm? Very unique name. I wouldn’t want to sit with my brother either, so it’s understandable.” The only reason Astoria wouldn’t want to sit next to Antoine at a Quidditch game, was because he hate the game. He hated it a lot. So he was a complete mood killer. But that was the only reason. Otherwise, Astoria would love to spend time with him. Astoria motioned for Tristane to follow her over to the food court. He stomach grumbled and she wondered if maybe she should grab a bite to eat after the game was finished. ”I like your accent anyways, it doesn’t bother me if you’re good at English or not.” Astoria shrugged. Aside from beautifully interesting eyes, this guy had an accent too. He was like a packaged deal. Astoria would have loved to have met this guy sooner. It was hard not doing what she usually did and having the hopeless romantic side of her peek out. He would be a really good guy to fall for. Astoria wanted to fall in love, badly. She swore to be good to any man she did fall for. But they all made it so hard, and with every guy that further proved to her she was not meant to fall in love, her heart broke just a little bit more. Pretty soon Astoria was sure it would be too damaged to love at all. ”So, what team are you rooting for?” Astoria asked. Wondering what team he came here to see and hoped to see win. Astoria was rooting for Jarrett’s team, only because she liked them more than the other team. Because otherwise, they were rivals.

Tristane had a lot on his mind, but none of it mattered right now because all he wanted to do was make a new friend. And it seemed to be working. This girl was cute and all, but he was not about to jump into something that he did not think would be wise. She was a stranger after all. Though some flirting and stuff would not really bother him so much. She at least seemed nice and all. That was a change from some of the other girls that his brothers had brought in because they were always such b*tches, and he did not like those types of girls. Tristane thought that they were either covering up for something, or they were just not going to get far into the world. Tristane had a level head, and his brothers, the majority, may have been rather harsh and mean, Tristane was not and he vowed to stay away from that. It was a relief to meet some nicer people like himself. Even his blind friend, Lilianna, was nice as far as he could tell anyway. Tristane was happy that he could have caught her like he did. He blushed a little bit when she said that he was cute and humble. Those words probably described him awfully well, but it did not mean that he was not immune to blushing. It was a dusting of red upon his cheeks, but he willed it away. Tristane smiled, "Maybe you have been hanging around the wrong people." Well, that was about as smooth as it could ever get. It was a good thing that Tristane did not read the Daily Prophet often or else he would know that this girl was a partier and a drinker, which he tries to stay away from both. For all he knew, if that happened to him, he could impregnate some girl and then his whole life would be ruined. Tristane was even oblivious to the fact that she was related to Antoine Snow, but now that he has met her, it would be a good time to start reading into those magazines and stuff.

It was true, his name was rather unique, as were a lot of his brothers. They all had strange names. Tristane reached around and scratched his head before he chuckled, "Most of my siblings have unique names. I have a little brother named Troxa. The most normal name I think we have is Nina, but I never see my sisters." Tristane shrugged, before he laughed, "I hope your brother is not as ass like mine is! He insults every player on the other team." Though he did not know what team Tylien was even rooting for. He thought that his brother brought him out here just to get some fresh air. Truth be told, Tristane did not have a favorite team either. Astoria seemed to like his accent, and he smiled even more, showing his whites. He murmured, “Um, thank you.” And he meant it too, because he was thankful that not only could she understand him but she seemed to like him too. She seemed like a nice woman, and she was pretty too. Tristane had a weakness, and apparently it was for pretty girls. He meant it though, that he would rather sit with her than his brother. Though that could be an insult to his brother, or a compliment to the girl. Well, it was a compliment, and he truly would not mind sitting with her. Especially if she loved Quidditch like he did, even though he did not have a favorite team that he could root for. He was just here to watch the action. Tristane had to think for a moment on which team that he was going for. He shrugged and he answered, "I think the team with the hilarious beater, you know, the one that curses the air when he gets mad? I don't have a favorite team or anything, I just came because I had nothing else to do."

Astoria almost felt bad for Tristane. People were going to make assumptions about him if he started hanging out with her. They would assume that he's going to be her next man. Even if Astoria was only looking for a friend, that was what they were going to assume. It was actually quite sad. If something more blossomed between them she would be keeping it a secret this time. From the press and everyone. But at the moment she just intended to maybe see if he wanted to be her friend. Astoria really felt like she could use a friend right now. "To be honest...I don't really hang out with anyone. People kind of think I'm a bad person. They don't really know me but.....they've heard things and I guess everyone believes them." Astoria shrugged. Looking away and down to the ground for a moment. It really hurt sometimes, having do many people against her. They acted as if she didn't have feelings or a heart. They just tore at her as they pleased. What made it a hundred times worse was when it was mentioned in the prophet. Then the whole world could read and point their grubby fingers at her. One time she went out to eat with Taralynn and some woman dumped a glass of ice water on her. All because of what she read. Astoria was even called trashy that day. The rest of the day Astoria hid in the bathroom crying. Taralynn was there but she did little to stop how much it hurt being treated like that. Astoria had a lot of issues with the press. It always seemed like they had something mean to say about her. But she hoped that if Tristane was able to get a real glimpse of her, that he would understand that she wasn't the person everyone thought she was. "I'm always up for trying to make friends though." Astoria explained quickly. As if she thought that saying it quickly would make him less likely to yell at her for become disgusted with the idea of being friends with her. They just met so right now she figured they would need to learn more about one another before they were ever friends.

"I wish my family had cool names like that. Why don't you ever get to see your sister's though? That sounds sad." Astoria paused for a moment. Wondering what his family was like? He made it sound he had a lot of siblings. Astoria had grown up with only one sibling and she was extremely close with him. Was he close with his siblings? "My brother is....well he's complicated to get along with for most. But he and I are really close so there's not a whole lot of negatives things I could say about him." Except for the fact that he was a killer with little compassion for others. He followed Theodore and Alphonse too closely. There had been so many incidents where she asked her brother to stop listening to Theodore's orders and for the both of them to escape. Maybe she could get him to quit his ways. Astoria hated the killing. One day she knew it was going to be the end for Antoine if he kept it up. He had a baby! He may not have known that he did but he had a baby that he needed to be concerned for. Even if Astoria was very bad with children, she knew she would change her entire life for her child if she had one. Sometimes Astoria wasn't sure if she would ever allow herself to be a mother. Merely because she would be no good at it. She had little patience and sometimes children creeped her out. Especially when they were given a lot of sugar. They were like rabid little animals then. Tristane answered which team he preferred. The one with the angry beater. Astoria knew immediately who he was talking about too. Astoria grinned softly. "Oh you mean Jarrett? Yeah he gets like that sometimes. I actually live with him so I'm kind of used to it. I'm rooting for his team too. Even if sometimes my team plays against his." Astoria shrugged. Yeah sometimes she wanted to smack Jarrett upside the face, he wasn't that bad of a guy. She used to like him a lot. But things changed. Now she could barely remember what had gone on to make her no longer want him like she used to. Maybe it was because she thought he hated her.

Tristane would never pay attention to the stares that they were receiving right about now. His amber eyes never frayed from the sight of Astoria. She looked like she was someone that could use a friend like he could be. He took a sip of his drink from his straw in the cup, and he flashed a glorious smile down at her. She was awfully pretty, so he had to soak that up while he could. Though the moment that she said that she did not hang out with anyone, his eyebrow went up, and he doubted that. She did not seem that she was a bad person, and he had only known her for a few minutes. People believing rumors was just awful, and his brothers were the type to believe them as well. Tristane rolled his amber eyes, and he shrugged, "People just disappoint me. Wish I could say my brothers don't believe stuff like that, but alas, they do." That was also a warning for her to steer clear of them as well. They could be very vicious, and almost evil. That was the awful part about being from his dad's side. Because he was his father's son, Tristane often feared that he would fall into the same views and everything like them. He fought it every day, and did not want to deal with the fact that his brothers try to tempt him into just giving in. Tristane was stronger than that, and he knew better. Tristane was happy that she was up for making friends. Good, because he needed some anyhow. No one could be short on friends. He beamed, his pearly whites showing, "Great!" He just wished that his brothers had as many friends as he did. Tristane loved having people to talk to, it made him feel better about himself, which in turn he helped others feel better about themselves as well. That was something that he loved to do, so he often thought about teaching children something other than music.

"I don't see my sisters because when mom and dad split, the girls and boys split. They had different views on blood. Let's see, we have... Valerius, Zion, Terence, Nadine, Nina, Tylien, Sethos, Levent, Rephael, Severin, Troxa, Nikandros and Blaine. I have a ton of siblings, it is ridiculous, and there are two sets of twins. I am one of them, and then the other are Nadine and Nina. I just wish I was close with any of my siblings. I think the one I am closest to is Troxa, and he goes to school." He did not care that he had just told her his entire line of siblings. Having that many brothers was just beyond maddening. One often never tired of him talking about their personalities, but there as also something like a handsome gene in there because they were all good looking, but none of them were married or even close to being married. Tristane wondered who her brother was and if he played Quidditch and all like she did. Tristane wondered if her brother was like this great man, and the man that he was picturing was nothing like the way he really was. Tristane had no idea that Antoine was a killing machine, and truly did not want to know either. Tristane did not take too kindly to Death Eaters. That was mainly why he did not hang around Terrance. Terrance seemed to get into them just a bit too much. It was frightening. Tristane let out a sigh by thinking about him, and he looked over at Astoria when she said that she knew Jarrett, the angry beater that Tristane got a kick out of. Tristane did not know what was going on between the two, but they apparently lived together and she was rooting for his team even if her team played against his. "So, living together? Is it serious?" Of course he was basically asking if the two of them, Astoria and Jarrett were seeing each other. He did not really know of any other reason. Though he waited for her response. He was not one of those old-fashioned people that would judge her, but he merely had a larger amount of curiosity than the normal person.

Astoria liked the way Tristane thought. People disappointed her a lot too. They believed everything they read in the papers and because of that were led to believe that Astoria was this horrible person that just couldn't be helped. She believed that she could be helped, she only needed someone to help her find herself and what as been lost. No one really tried to help her though. Antoine did to the best of his ability but there was only so much he could do when they shared different views and he was a fugitive on the run. Astoria appreciated what he could do though. If it wasn't for her brother, Astoria would have given up a lot time ago. Her mother used to tell her that the world would always need someone to hate on. Not everyone was going to get along. Apparently Astoria was just one of those people that the world needed to hate on for no reason. But she was kind of used to it, so it didn't matter much to her anymore. ”Remind me to avoid ever meeting your brothers then. That could be a bad experience.” If possible she would try to keep Tristane from Antoine as well. Antoine would probably leave him be if Tristane was a pure blood. Antoine could be cruel and hateful but it was only toward anyone that Theodore didn't like, or someone who he believed didn't deserve his respect. There wasn't many people Antoine respected either. Astoria hoped that her newfound friend wasn't going to try and introduce her to them anytime soon. She would love to meet his brothers one day if it became a serious friendship. Until then she wanted to avoid any possible confrontations between them. Especially if they had read about her in the papers. All she needed was one comment about her partying or ways with men and would lose it . Enough was enough. People needed to leave her alone. Yes she partied a lot. But did anyone who read the paper know that? Probably not. Did they know about her horrible family or the way she was treated by men? It was hard for Astoria to understand how so many people thought they knew her when they really didn't. Jarrett was on the top of that list. He thought he knew her so well. He only knew what he saw on the outside. No matter how much she tried to tell him he didn't know her, he insisted that he did. ”Really? You're not irritated at all that we barely know one another and I'm already telling you I want to be your friend? Oh I like you. Not like dating like you but like you're cool and-well you know what I mean.” Astoria was actually surprised that he seemed to happy about it. So she started to ramble out of shyness. In the end she collected herself and rolled her eyes at the end of her statement. Oh merlin, she was acting ridiculous right now.

”Err....how do you remember all of their names?” Astoria asked as she raised an eyebrow and stared back as Tristane. If she had that many siblings she doubted that she could remember their names let alone tell them all apart. Astoria could barely remember all her teammates names half the time. Normally they responded to 'hey you' when she tried to catch their attention. She always apologized for not remembering their names but they always seemed to find it funny that she forgot time after time. Astoria was about to nod when Tristane repeated the fact that she and Jarrett were living together. But then she caught on to the second part of his questions and froze. Is it serious? It took a second before Astoria figured out what he was talking about. Oh goodness he thought she and Jarrett were dating. Astoria's mouth dropped open before she shook her head. ”Oh nooooo.. Jarrett and I are not dating. I mean, we did date once but it only lasted a couple of weeks or something. I actually got kicked out by my parents and he offered to let me stay at his place until I saved up enough to get my own place.” Astoria started off. That was one she had never heard before, someone thinking she and Jarrett Vyhnal were dating. He must truly not read the papers because a couple of articles in there describe their animosity toward one another on and off the pitch. The reporters assumed it was because of a bad breakup. But Astoria knew exactly why she was mean to Jarrett. ”I'm actually pretty sure that he hates me. He probably only offered the place because I'm good friends with his sisters and they would hate him if he didn't.” Astoria used to have like the world's biggest crush on Jarrett. She tried just about everything she could to get him interested. But he was rude and never seemed interested. Which left her to believe that he hated her. So in the end, she made herself believe that she hated him. When they did date, Astoria was unable to bring up her old feelings she had for him a long time ago. So the relationship didn't last. All they did was argue. There was no kissing, no handholding, no talking whatsoever unless it was through an argument. Astoria looked back out at the pitch. She wondered who was winning. Smirking when she saw her bushy-haired roommate seemingly look at her she waved then nudged Tristane. ”Hey, he's looking this way. You should wave.” Hopefully Jarrett would appreciate that much. Maybe after the game he would want to hang out with her and Tristane and go get something to eat. The game was almost over too. So he must be tired and ready for a break along with some good good.

Even as friends and stuff, Tristane shuddered at what his brothers could do. He didn't know where he got the warmth and kindness from, but most of his brothers lacked that. Hell, even his father did. His father was something else. He wasn't a good man, and he wasn't a murderer. He was just all around, bad news. Most of the Matthias brothers had the devious good looks because of their parents, but most of them remained single because of their attitudes. Tristane was another story. He preferred to be single. The last thing he wanted to do was bring a woman home to his brothers. Tristane nodded, "Yeah, but to tell you the truth, I have no idea which one is the worst of them all. I think the best one to meet would be Zion, but he is in Africa. He studies um, tigers." Zion was warm but he was quite the smartass. He could turn anything into an insult, but it was the brother that Tristane was closest to before Zion packed his stuff and left. Tristane was curious to see Zion now, but perhaps he wanted to avoid Terrance. He was supposedly in the worst gang, so he put it. Gorgeous as he was, Terrance could easily have a thousand children with how he lived. It was just one thing after another, but he was glad that he and that brother did not cross paths often at all. Tristane laughed at her statement, before he cast her a mischievous smile, "Give me five good reasons to be irritated and I might consider it. And yeah, I know what you mean. I know I am pretty cool." The sudden hint of conceitedness was completely false, and transparent. It was rather obvious with the way he was smiling, that he was just humble, and that was how he was. Humble. He enjoyed being humble like he normally was. That was why he taught children to play music. Teaching children really helped him and his issues at home. He lead others to appreciate the little things in life, and often told them the pleasures that the world had to offer and to ignore the worst part of the world. He saw things in a good, but different light than others had. Tristane was just one of those optimistic people, something that would take a big jar to knock him off of his clouds.

Laughing, Tristance answered, "Years of living with them. If it is any better, I can't remember half of their middle names. Except for Tylien's, but that's because he is my twin and all." Tristane shrugged his broad shoulders before he cast another smile in her direction. Tristane looked over at Astoria and wondered if her and the foulmouth were really dating or not. She seemed so nice, how could he be with her? Then again some girls were like that. Leaving the nice guys as friends and then going for the jerks. To be fair, Tristane didn't even know Jarrett. He just knew that he was a rough player, so he couldn't say much about him. But once she cleared up that they were not dating, but had, and that she was living at his house until she saved up enough to get her own place. Tristane had to ask, "What did you do, tie him down or something to make him offer you a place? From how he speaks and stuff on the field, he doesn't seem too nice." Tristane knew that he was getting into something that was really going over his head, but the curiosity was just so great. He couldn't help it. But it was astonishing that she thought that this guy hated her, and they were living together. Tristane shrugged, "I can't really day because well, I don't know him off of the game. But for someone that does that for his sisters, that means a lot. Maybe he has a bigger heart than what I first thought. But hatred...life is too short to hate. What is there to hate?" Tristane shrugged, and never thought that someone would let an ex live with them that they hated just because of sisters and family. Tristane wouldn't do it, but then again he didn't hate his ex-girlfriend either. He just wouldn't offer his place up because his brothers would eat her alive. He felt her nudge him and he looked toward the pitch to see that the beater was looking right at them. Tristane awkwardly waved, before he saw the worst thing someone could do in a game. A rude gesture, and then a bludger that was hit. Not toward them, but toward the seeker after the snitch. The seeker was for Jarrett's team, and was knocked completely off of the broom, leaving the other team to win. Tristane was standing there, mouth opened in shock. "I think your roommate has issues if he hates his team's own seeker."

Astoria felt really bad for Tristane. But at the same time she also knew that more often that not, siblings still cared for one another, even despite the differences between them. That was how Astoria and her own brother was. Antoine sometimes scared her with the way he was. How carelessly he could go after others and end their lives. But at the same time she still loved him. Astoria had protected him many times in the past. He probably didn't even realize how many times himself. "It wouldn't matter me, if it meant a lot to you, I'd meet all of your brothers in a heartbeat. As loing as you were there with me.....oh that totally made it sound like I was hitting on you or something. I didn't mean it like that but...if you meant a lot to someone, they would learn to deal with your brothers even if they were horrible," That was the way Astoria felt about the situation. In her mind, she felt that if someone truly cared about another, they would make sacrifices for that person. Then again it would appear that Astoria had no room to talk about how she thought love worked. She apparently was no good at it if she could not keep a steady relationship. 'Then again, how is it my fault that I have yet to meet a guy who isn't after my looks, wealth, or is after my brother. They always want something.' Astoria thought to herself. Maybe she needed to just let herself get poor and ugly, that would eliminate some of the problem. Then all she had to worry about was men seeking her for her brother. Believe it or not, there have been men who sought to use her to capture Antoine. How disgusting of a relationship that was. The men who have tried such a thing, definitely got what was coming to them then. Astoria paused and smiled softly. "I definitely can't think of five reasons when I'm on the spot like that! You win. Also, your lucky your cute or I'd comment on that inflated ego of yours." Astoria stuck her tongue out before she started to walk further down the bleachers. It was cute how easy he was to talk to. He was definitely good best friend material. Astoria hoped he would be around as a friend for awhile. She could use someone like him to keep her spirits up. He could be someone she went to when the press started to harp down on her again. Sometimes she went to Taralynn or Antoine, but it was rare when they were able to provide help. Taralynn had a hard time helping when she didn't understand what the problem was.

Astoria paused. "You have a twin too?! Are you guys identical?" Astoria wondered if she was ever going to run into the problem of mixing Tristane up with his twin. That would certainly be a big mess if she had, not to mention beyond embarrassing. Astoria was about to ask what his twin was like, but Tristane asked her a question that made her pause and raise an eyebrow. Now why would he assume that she made Jarrett offer her a place? Astoria would never make Jarrett do anything he didn't want to do. Unless of course it was one of those dire situations. "No? He actually refused to let me leave until I accepted his offer. I think...something happened to him when he was younger that made him like he is now. He's not too bad of a guy. He can be a little....hard to understand but he usually means well. Don't tell him I said that though." Astoria shrugged. She wasn't fully sure of Jarrett's story, but she knew he must have gone through something pretty bad. It made him the way he was today. Astoria would not pry, but if ever did want to tell her, she would listen. After all, she wasn't as bad he seemed to think she was. "Ask him." What was there to hate? Lots of things. At least it seemed that way to Jarrett. But Astoria didn't know him or what he was going through, maybe he didn't hate anything. Maybe he was just angry. Astoria was happy to see that Tristane waved back, but the moment Jarrett flipped him off, Astoria's mouth dropped. Okay she didn't think Jarrett would be that rude. What was his problem? They were just saying hello! Astoria opened her mouth to apologize to Tristane for what Jarrett did, even if she wasn't sure why he had done it. But then something else happened to make her eyes widen and her attention turn back to the game. Jarrett hit a bludger right at this own teammate. Which of course cost his team the game. "Um....I don't think he meant to do that?" Was he having an off day or something? Jarrett never messed up like that, at least not from what she knew. Astoria could see that he was upset. Maybe when he got off the pitch, she would ask him if he wanted to get something to eat with her and Tristane. It might cheer him up a little and help him relax. 'I wonder why he hit the bludger at his own teammate?' The angry crowed was beginning to clear and the players headed off he pitch. Astoria headed further down the steps with Tristane right behind her, sooner or later they'd bump into Jarrett, she hoped.

Tristane looked over at her, and he smiled charmingly. It was really nice of her to offer that to him. If it meant a lot to him. But it did not. Tristane smiled even more when he said, "I don't want to ever put you in that situation. They would either make you feel like dirt, or a slut. I don't want that to happen. It kinda does sound like you are hitting on me, but I don't mind that at all, Astoria." He winked one of his amber eyes at her, and wondered if she was flirting. He thought that he was, but it was harmless. They were friends, or going to be friends. Harmless flirting was just that, harmless. This woman, this Astoria, was very interesting to him, and he hoped that he could have some more time with her. When she called him cute, and stuck her tongue out at him, he chuckled and shook his head. She was definitely cute. How could she be friends with someone like that other guy? It seemed unhealthy to him. "That's a good girl, I do win. Hey, my ego is not that inflated. I am just confident!" his tone was full of jest, and he even had this playful look in his eyes. He enjoyed playing around with people, just not with their feelings and stuff. That was not in his game at all. He thought that people that did that were jerks. He himself was a good gentleman, raised with manners. When she asked if his twin was identical, he shook his head, "No, we aren't identical. He has the same eye color, but otherwise, he looks nothing like me." At least everyone was able to tell them apart. He did not think that he would ever have to deal with someone mixing up the two of them. At any point in time. That was a good thing because he never wanted to deal with that. He did not think that he would have the patience because of the way his brother was. A jerk.

Tristane raised an eyebrow at what she said. "I don't think I will need to. But I guess he has a lot of things going on his mind. I hope that the guy isn't that bad or anything." He would have to take her word for it for now anyway. He hoped that Jarrett was treating her right, or else he would probably have an issue with it. He probably had a temper. He looked like the type to have a temper. He wondered what Jarrett had gone through as a kid, but he doubted that he would ever find out. Tristane had a feeling that the guy would probably be hard to get along with. Tristane laughed, before he said with a shrug, "I don't think I want another person's opinion on a person. It would kind of be like gossip to me, so I think I will make my own judgments." Tristane was just baffled that the man would make such a rude gesture at them, but he shrugged it off. By the time that looked at the seeker that was hit, it seemed like the man had a cracked skull or something. Whatever happened, it cost the team the game, and he knew that his team would not be happy with Jarrett. That would bring bad news to everyone that was around him. Tristane suddenly had a thought. Did they cost him the game? Their waving? He did not think that he could live with that. "Oh man. That poor seeker." Tristane was not wanting to talk to Jarrett, but Astoria had other plans in mind. He instead followed after her, further and further down the steps, that is until he could see that bushy-haired man with the sunglasses heading straight toward them. This was not going to end well, he knew it. Off in the distance, he could see that the seeker was carrying his own weight just fine. Tristane hoped that whatever happened was not his fault. He didn't want to cause any trouble at all. What if something happened? He did not want to fight. It was not in his nature.

The last thing that Jarrett wanted was to see Astoria with some other man that was bound to hurt her. He shouldn't care, but he did. Why? He didn't know, and he didn't care to know why he thought that he shouldn't care but he did. Jarrett managed to cost everyone the game, but that would not have happened if he had not seen freaking Astoria and that guy together. One could say that he was jealous, but he didn't think that he was. He didn't like Astoria! He didn't hate her either, but one of them was going to pay for what happened. He would confront them and see what in the hell was their problem and why they had bothered to wave to him! It was distracting! He got to the bleachers, and ignored the glares that were cast by the team. He was not going to apologize to Zhefarovich. That boy scared him enough with how tall he was, and how vague and morbid he seemed. Jarrett didn't want to have anything to do with them. He strolled up until he saw the man with amber eyes, and then saw Astoria. He made his way over to them, his face somewhat red and sweat all over his forehead. He looked tired and worn out, but he was pissed off. No one costed him the game, ever! He stopped in front of them before he glared at them through his sunglasses which never left his face for any reason because he was ashamed of his eye color. He looked to Astoria before he said, his voice not even raised but one could tell how angry he was, "What the hell, Snow? We were ahead!" However he turned to look at the other guy, before he pointed his finger at him, his jaw hardening, "Now who the hell are you? Why in Merlin's given glory would you bother to hang around, waving to Quidditch players in the middle of a f*cking game?! You and this little princess cost me my focus!" It was not fair for him to put the blame on them, but he could not help it. He wanted to yell, to scream, even if it was his fault, it just felt better to put the blame on others. Just like for the misery he had for his life, he put the blame on his parents. It was their fault that he suffered.

<COLOR color="#000">Astoria wanted so badly to tell Tristane that she already had a handful of people making her feel like that these days. There was the press, her Quidditch teammates, Theodore, her parents, sometimes even Jarrett and Taralynn. There were times when people might not even be aware that what they said bothered Astoria, but it still did. But it seemed like Tristane was different than the rest of them. Which would be good for Astoria. She needed some good influence in her life. "You don't mind? Really? You and I need to be best friends or something. I always end up sounding like that, it really creeps people out sometimes." Astoria felt like a dweeb at the moment. She was actually smiling and looking like she was having fun, which a lot of people didn't get to see these days. This guy was a riot. She liked hanging out with him. He made her smile. It was almost as much as she messing around with Jarrett. Even if they got one another angry, she had a fun time getting under his skin. That was one of the reasons she figured they hadn't killed one another yer. Because there was another side to both of them they almost enjoyed one another's company. Astoria forced herself to forget about her roommate and smiled back at Tristane. The whole twin thing she understood. Theodore and Alyssa were prime examples. They were twins. Astoria was afraid to ask whether his brother was like him or not. Probably not. Which was such a pity because Tristane was truly a charmer. "Your siblings are lucky to have a brother like you." Astoria offered. Astoria was lucky to have her older brother. It was because of the things he did for her when he had the chance that made her appreciate him like a hundred times more than most siblings appreciated them. When the topic about Jarrett persisted, Astoria bit her lip and tried to avoid from showing too much emotion over the subject. She knew that Jarrett could be hard to understand, but she felt like somehow, she should defend his honor. "Jarrett is....complicated. He may not seem like it, but he's a really good guy. I promise." Astoria wasn't sure if she could explain how she knew. But after living with him for a little over half a year, she saw him differently than she had before. But she didn't want him to know that. He hated her and because of that she was scared for him to think that she was getting soft or something.

Astoria was part of the way through answering Tristane on the seeker, but she paused when she saw Jarrett making her way over to her and Tristane. "Hey Jarr-" She was about to greet him, but instead he greeted her in a much angrier fashion. Astoria was confused now. What had she done? "Wh-what are you talking about? What did I do?" Astoria didn't understand what she had done wrong. She was trying to be friend to Jarrett but whatever she did, upset him badly. But then Jarrett started to yell at Tristane, and he sounded ten times angrier at him than he did with Astoria. But she didn't understand why. What had Tristane ever done to him? By the time he called her princess, Astoria was feeling like she should smack Jarrett upside the head for being so rude. Carefully she stepped in front of Tristane, as if she was protecting him. It was not Tristane's fault that this happened. If anything, it was hers. "Jarrett...whoa..whoa...it was my fault that he waved. I was the one that told him too. I'm sorry. I didn't think it would distract you." Astoria was pretty sure she had seen his sisters wave to him before during games, it hadn't bothered him before. Why did it bother him now? Astoria wished she knew earlier that this was going to mess him up. Because now she felt bad. Now that she had explained that she was sorry for what happened and stuff, she felt like maybe she should introduce them now. Hopefully Jarrett was calmer at least. Stepping out from in front of Tristane she stood beside him. "This is Tristane. He saved my butt form falling down the stairs." Astoria turned and smiled at him softly. She was still grateful for that. "We uh....we were just talking about maybe going to get something to eat or something. Do you want to come with?" Astoria asked. Her tone actually sounded smooth and naturally. She was actually curious to see if he wanted to come with. It was the least she could do for him since she was the reason he had just lost. Plus it was better now then ever to try and be more friendly with him.

Ozias Zhefarovich was not very happy as of the moment. He had recently been hit in the head by a bludger, knocked off of his broomstick which ultimately lost him the game. What was bad enough was that his teammate that did the beating did not even apologize. After Ozias was fixed up so that his skull was no longer cracked, he had moved away from the healers on the site. He didn't want them around him, even though they begged him to turn around, come back because of the fact that he was still bleeding rather profusely. Ozias had some business to take care of. He removed his quidditch robes and threw them to the side, where he was only wearing a tee shirt and jeans. It was not something he wore around, but it was enough. Ozias followed up the guy named Jarrett Vyhnal. He knew him as his roommate's older brother, but right now, he was a guy that basically threw something really hard at his hand, and he was not going to get away with it without feeling some pain himself. Ozias believed that what goes around comes around, and he was going to teach this person just that. Upon arrival behind the guy, which was yelling at a couple, he slowly put his hand out to grab his shoulder, before he looked down at Jarrett, forcing him to turn around. Then with a mighty swing, Ozias punched Jarrett hard enough in the head to knock him out. He shook off his hand as he looked down at the motionless body except for the occasional breaths. Ozias looked up at the two, and he gave a shrug. "He put a bludger to my head, it was only fair. He didn't apologize. See you later, Snow." Ozias walked off, and away from the pitch after gathering his Quidditch robes. He was done for now. He didn't need to do anything. But how his hand might be cracked or broke from the guy's hard head, and he needed to get the bleeding from his head to stop somehow. At least Ozias felt better.

Jarrett turned his blazing eyes, yet hidden by his sunglasses over to Astoria. He had seen that she had obviously took control of everything somehow. That was the fuel that he needed to get even madder. "Don't you hey me!" shouted Jarrett and he looked over at Tristane, and he could kill him for looking so damn handsome. What she was doing with the likes of him? He would probably just play her since she was drawn to them. She didn't even know what she was doing wrong! He pointed at her but he couldn't even word it because truth was, she did not do anything wrong, but he was not going to admit that. He was going to blame her, and there was nothing she could do about it! "So now you are protecting him now! What, can't find your own battles, d*ck head? Need your little girlfriend to do it for you? I guess I know who wears the pants around here." He didn't care, he was just finding things to yell at her at. He was using everything he could see just to tear into her, and without even a good reason as well. By this point, he would just have ignored it, but there was too much, and he just could not stop himself. Jarrett appeared calmer right now but it was just fake. Jarrett looked over at the guy named Tristane, and the guy had yet to say anything, like he was a freaking mute or something. And it was making Jarrett look worse, which in turn, fueled that anger even more. And this guy was a hero apparently! It was just making it all worse! And then she offered to have him tag along to get something to eat with them. Jarrett snorted, rather rudely, "Like I would bother to go eat with the two of-" he was interrupted when he felt someone turn him around, and a look of fear washed over his face when he saw the taller Zhefarovich. The one that he had injured. He was a blood mess and it was just terrifying. Before he even knew what happened, there was a sharp pain, and then the lights were out. Jarrett fell to the ground, and he did not move.

Tristane had to admit, all of the drama that was going on was getting to be to the point where he was about to drag Astoria away from it. He wanted to talk back to Jarrett, whom was angry with him for Merlin knew what. And this was the nice guy that she was living with? He sure was not seeing it. His amber eyes blinked when the guy just kept yelling and yelling. What in the world did they do wrong? Tristane was not liking the way that this was heading, and he put his hands into his pockets since he had disposed of his drink not too long ago into a trash bin. He looked over at the beater, and wondered if he was done yelling yet. He was getting a little bored, and a little tired. Not to mention he was very hungry. Tristane wanted to apologize to him, but he had the feeling that he would not be getting the chance to apologize, so he looked down at Astoria, and he gave a small shrug. His new found friend seemed to have come with some baggage, but he was willing to deal with it if she would deal with his brothers if there was a time if that happened. Tristane bit his lip, and wondered if there was something he should say in order to try to calm down the guy. But there seemed to be nothing he could do, and he was just feeling rather helpless. Tristane nervously scratched the back of his head, and he cleared his throat, but he still could not get a word in edgewise. Even with Jarrett now yelling at Astoria, just for protecting him, he didn't know what he needed to do. He was at a loss, and he wished that there was something that could be done in order to bring the guy to silence.

When Jarrett started to throw accusations, Tristane had no other choice but to sigh and he looked down at the floor while shaking his head. He kind of had a feeling what the guy's probably was. Either it was misplaced anger, or jealousy. Tristane was going to assume jealousy, but he figured that Astoria would already know about it since she lived with him. Tristane was going to warn Jarrett about the bloody guy coming up, but instead, there was not anything he could say. It was too late. The guy turned Jarrett around, and gave him a large punch to the face. Tristane hissed, "Ouch..." Tristane bent over Jarrett, and felt for a heartbeat in his neck. There was one, and it was strong. He was just knocked out. That would be one sore jaw when he woke up. Tristane could already see the swelling. Tristane stood up straight, and he looked over at Astoria before realizing that the seeker had called her by her last name. Did he know her. "Did you know the seeker?" Tristane remembered how tall he was, and how horrifying he had looked, but the voice, it didn't sound too harsh. He shrugged, and wondered if they were still going to get something to eat or not. He was really getting hungry, and staying here was not helping his stomach. He thought that soon his stomach would try to eat itself if he didn't hurry. Tristane decided to ask, "So, should we go alone? Him awake or not, he didn't sound like he liked me all that much." Tristane forced a smile, and it had been the first one that he had worn since the whole Jarrett incident. It was fortunate that the seeker had come along, or else he would have feared that he would have been punched.

Astoria flinched when Jarrett shouted at her for saying hey to him too. She didn’t understand why he was so upset with her. All she had done was try to be friendly with him. Wasn’t that what he wanted? For her to stop being so rude and hateful? It made her think of Theodore. He wanted respect from others but he rarely gave respect to others to make it so that he deserved it back. Jarrett seemed ten times more upset at Tristane that he was at her. Even though she had explained to him that Tristane only did it because she told him to. Astoria was trying to understand why Jarrett was so upset. But nothing came to mind. Just that he was really pissed off that he had lost the game. If he was that upset about it Astoria would apologize again. He had never been distracted by people waving before. Why was it so different that she had waved to him? "Jarrett stop acting like a prick! We were trying to be friendly, we didn’t mean to mess you up. I told you already it wasn’t his fault, so stop yelling at him! " Astoria threw her hands up in the air and used a more aggressive tone to respond to her roommate. Why was he being like this? Astoria thought he seemed fine before the game. Was he having that bad of a day or something? Astoria wanted to hit him. Not out of anger but to get him to stop for just one minute and calm down. Jarrett was about to turn down the offer to get some food. But Astoria really wanted him to go with her and Tristane. "Jarrett, please just com- JARRETT!” Astoria paused and gasped loudly when one of his teammates punched him. It was done hard enough to knock him out too. Astoria immediately bent down to make sure he was okay. So did Tristane. He was so sweet to at least check, even if the guy had been yelling at him. Astoria wiped the blood from the hard hit off of Jarrett’s face. At least she could do that much.

The guy who had hit Jarrett said her last name. That alone made Astoria eye him carefully as he left. "No. Actually I’ve never met him before. Weird." Either he knew her from the Press and their horrible articles, by the fact that she was a Quiddirtch player, or he was a friend of her brothers. Astoria nodded. She did signal for a medic to come over and take care of Jarrett. But she wasn’t going to let that jerk ruin her night. With a smile, Astoria quickly linked her arm with his and pointed in the direction of the place they were going to eat at. Once there, they could get to know one another more.
