Rome had been left to her own devices yet again, or well, she'd been sent on errands by her twin, though she suspected these were pointless errands to get her to stop annoying him. Rome grew bored more easily than he did, and she was always looking for something to do, and this usually ended up annoying her twin to the point where they had to spend a little time apart. Eventually it always seemed that they found one another and Rome was happy to give him some time as long as she herself had something to do. The slytherin girl had a small note of the books she was supposed to be picking up for her twin, some books for the school work they were supposed to be doing. Rome was going to wait until Cairo had finished and then use his to do her own work, if she ever got round to doing it. The girl was therefore in the library for the first time, and having never really been the type to go into libraries, Rome found herself a little lost amongst the many shelves of the books. She didn't know how this was supposed to be laid out, but the slytherin wasn't about to ask anyone for help.

Instead she just wandered the aisles aimlessly trying in vain to find what she needed, inwardly she cursed her twin who had sent her on this errand, knowing in the back of her mind that this had likely been the whole point of sending her to the library. She was growing more and more annoyed with both herself, this library and just everything else, her parents had always tried to tell Rome to manage her anger, and Cairo certainly managed to hold it back, but this wasn't the case with this situation. She was just walking up and down the different aisles, muttering small curses as she went, and would've continued to do, had she not walked straight into someone, and thus the anger began spilling out, she shoved out attempting to push the other person away from her and out the way as she attempt to ensure she didn't fall over. Rome was not happy about this, and a look of barely contained anger sat on her face, "Hey, watch it!" she growled keeping her voice lower because this was a library after all, she couldn't be yelling in a library, there were plenty of people around who might see this.

Ruben Hayes wondered what the purpose was for her attending Hogwarts New Zealand. It was a school with bumbling buffoons for professors and students alike and a typical bore. There was not much going on within lessons that had not already been taught to her by her father. Or if not that, then they could have been accessible within their library. If it were not for the idea of proper schooling ingrained into her brain, then she would have absolutely refused this foolishness. She would have probably learned more interesting and useful things if she was taught by her father, but alas, that was not to be. And so, she had settled for mediocre grades for they were of no use to her anyways, and none of them lay within her interests. She had decided to instead venture to the library every once in a while to borrow a book or two on the dark arts and its history. Now, that was a more interesting topic than any other taught in school.

Ruben had just brought in one of the books she had borrowed the previous month and was well on her way to having another book to keep her attention preoccupied instead of dealing with the clowns known as her classmates. She would rather the peaceful dormitory within the dungeons instead of the not-so-peaceful library of the school. And so, a rather heavy book held out in front of her, she was just on her way to the doors of the library when she had bumped into someone. Or rather, someone bumped into her. She had her eyes on where she was going after all and she was pretty sure she was on the right side while walking. This idiot was the one not paying attention and was incapable to walk straight and determine right and left. And it had the audacity to push her away?! Ruben decided to drop the book, hopefully on top of this thing's toes. "Pathetic," she said, her features remaining stoic, unfazed by the attitude shown by this... Ruben couldn't even bring herself to acknowledge this thing as a human girl. Humans were supposed to be intelligent. Clearly this girl was not. It was surprising enough that she was capable of speech.

The other girl who seemed to be the one she'd walked into definitely hadn't liked Rome's reaction to what she'd done, but the moment the other girl had dropped the book and it had landed painfully on her feet, Rome all but growled at her she didn't even bother with the word which she had called her, and just grabbed the girl by the shirt and shoved her up against the wall, with a hard shove, she had a venomous look on her face and she looked about ready to snap the girl in two, her anger was just boiling up within her, visibly overflowing, but it wasn't necessary hard to achieve with Rome, without Cairo, Rome was more prone to violence and outbursts of various violent natures. She had the other girl's shirt tightly gripped in her fist and her other hand was held in a tight fist ready to fly at her if she needed to, or if her anger boiled over further, Rome didn't mind being caught by professors with this, she didn't care even, it was a matter of honour and pride. She wasn't going to be treated like this at all, not by anyone, Rome would've reacted in this way regardless of who the person was, her toes were sore and she wasn't going to just take this, what did this girl expect, she wasn't some weak student who didn't fight back, "Want to repeat that?" she was close to the other girl, little space left between them, her face close, Rome from afar didn't look over threatening, but she had a wild temper and she could definitely be threatening when she wanted.

God-Mod, pre-agreed

Ruben had not been surprised by the thing's violent reaction. She had known well enough that this girl's stupidity would reach the high heavens, and therefore not be able to use her speech properly. Of course, she had been right. As the seconds ticked by the one in front of her was proving to her more and more that she was not even worthy of being acknowledged as a human. She was too idiotic and too predictable. The oxygen was knocked out of her lungs when this thing had shoved her hard against the wall, and yet Ruben's expression remained stoic and uncaring. There was no reason to fight back against dirt such as this one in front of her. It would be futile. Dirt cannot gain intelligence after all and she would only be soiling herself. It would be unacceptable. "If you are too dim-witted to understand, then yes, I shall repeat it for you clearly," the brunette said calmly, her tone remaining indifferent and apathetic. This certainly did not faze her in the slightest. She was sure her siblings could scare the mice better than this. "You are pathetic," Ruben said, stressing each word out as if she was talking to a child if not an animal to be trained. If this thing cannot even understand words, then clearly she was a complete waste of time and space.

Rome knew her brother wouldn't approve of this, she knew that responding with violence wasn't the way to do things, well, she knew that as a theory, but Rome did, and she enjoyed it as much as she enjoyed lying about thing which she did about as often as she got angry at someone else for something that they did. This girl, this person who'd dropped her book on Rome's foot definitely on purpose was just looking for this to continue, sure, Rome had pushed her first but that was a necessary act to save face when they'd bumped into one another. She had the girl pinned against the wall, and she listened to what was being said, listening to the insult, it doing nothing for her raging temper but she let the other girl continued until she had re-uttered her phrase, "So, I heard right then," she gave the girl a shove again, "But, you definitely have it all wrong, I'm not the pathetic one, you're the pathetic one," she retorted with a snarl, her hand was in a tight fist, she was a few words away from just straight up punching the girl but instead she tried to keep her calm, "I think you should apologise for bumping into me and perhaps for dropping the book too," Rome was a little taller than Ruben but the height difference wasn't overly noticeable, it didn't stop Rome from being very much within Ruben's personal space.

Ruben would have face palmed if she could. But with this thing pushing her up against the wall, she wasn't in a comfortable enough position to do so. She could however release a deep sigh and shake her head in disappointment at the thought pattern of this thing. She tried to acknowledge it as a human being. She really did. But it was making that task hard for her to do with the ever growing stupidity and naivety that it had. Seriously, the logic that this one uses makes absolutely no sense. Was its intelligence really so shallow that it was only capable of throwing back her words? It makes no sense at all. Ruben didn't even think it worthy of any sort of reply but an apathetic stare. Ruben's eyebrow arched at the demand though. She couldn't help it. How dare this lowlife ask for an apology when it was not her fault in the first place. She would not have dropped the book if this girl had not bumped into her in the first place. "I will not apologize for something I did not do. Nor for something that you obviously deserved," Ruben said, her tone constant and cold. She would not give this filth the satisfaction of anger and irritation. Because honestly, if anything, Ruben was the one taking satisfaction in the obvious irritation and show of stupidity that this thing was making a complete spectacle of.

Rome was definitely not enjoy this girl's company and she thought the girl was almost talking down to her, thought of herself as better than Rome, and while Rome didn't usually subscribe that, she got the feeling this girl thought she was better than her, and Rome didn't care too much for it. She just had the girl pinned against the wall, and she was feeling like the other girl didn't quite understand what was really happening. The Slytherin wasn't a calm sort, and she just enjoyed the aspect of being angry and letting her anger take over, she didn't care about this girl and in the Slytherin's mind she held all of the power. She was pinning the girl against the wall, and at the other girl's words, Rome just smiled a falsely sweet smile as she adjusted her hold ever so slightly, "Obviously deserve," she repeated with a smile, the same falsely sweet smile which showed she wasn't actually sweet at all, "You clearly deserve this," she clenched her fist and then moved to punch the girl square in the face, not even caring at all about the consequences of such a move. Rome had no patience with most people and she was very much driven by the anger which grew steadily inside her, she didn't care so much about getting caught or people fighting back, she just went full steam ahead and generally she quite enjoyed it, not as much as lying to people, but definitely enjoyed it.

I figure you can decide if the punch lands or not.
