Elaine locked up her house and helped her daughter into the car. She
was heading to an Orphanage to meet a boy that she would possibly
be adopting at one time or another. She was all too happy to bring the
young boy into her family as he had been in that orphage since he was five.
Elaine didn't think that was fair on anyone. Firstly she went to the babysitters
house to drop off Elena before heading on to the orphange, she wasn't
sure how long she was going to be there, and she didn't want Elena to
run off anywhere. She was a very curious child and it would not do to
have her running around where she could hurt herself. Elaine may have
been a formal woman, but she loved her daughter and would make
sure that no harm came to her. She would not have been able to live
with herself if Elena was hurt or if she died. She had gone through alot
to make sure that she got custody of Elena and not her ex-husband,
who was alot richer then she.
As she pulled up to the orphanage she was greated by an elderly woman
holding a clipboard. Elaine figured that this must have been the Orphange
director. She nodded pleaseantly at the woman and followed her up the
stairs to the living room, where there were other kids talking to couples.
Although Elaine felt odd for not being in a relationship, she didn't care.
If she adopted this boy she would love him like he was her own, and give
him everything she could. With out spoiling him ofcourse because she didn't
believe in spoiling children. She was never spoiled as a child, and as a result
she did not spoil Elena. It was as they were walking up the stairs that the
woman she was following gave her a bit of background information on the
boy she would be meeting. She nodded as she listened to what was being
recited to her and shook her head as the lady told her that he was shy.
Well, two weeks with Elena would sure fix that.
They came up to a room and the lady knocked on the door. "You have a
visitor Mr Trace, please come out and show her around" She said before
leaving Elaine and the boy alone. Elaine smiled and offered him her hand.
"Its a pleasure to meet you." She said, her accent still laced with Spanish.
