History
Personal History:

Athene had always had an affinity with serpents. At the age of 6 she realized she could communicate with them, in a completely different language. It wasn't until she and her sister began reading about the dark arts that she discovered what it really meant - that she was a parselmouth. She didn't tell her parents, she wanted to keep it a secret, and so had told the only person she had trusted completely, Artemis.

Athene was born a twin to Temi (Artemis Bellatrix Perthro), but at the age of ten she had lost her sister to murder.Not long before her death, Artemis had befriended a Muggle boy from the local village, who died a day before her. Loki Perthro, their grandfather, had always kept a close eye on his family. Slightly mad (he tortured his wife into insanity and abused his children, including Athene's father, while growing up,) and very proud, Loki likes to think of himself as head of the family despite having passed on the estate to his eldest son, Leonardo. Whenever he finds that a Perthro has become in any way unsatisfactory, he doesn't hesitate to remove them from the tree. Athene has no idea the death of her sister was cause of her grandfather, yet, and believes that her sister fell from a waterfall and died on the rocks.

Having never been to a Muggle school (of course), and having spent very little time with children outside the family, Artemis had been Athene's only real friend. After loosing her twin she became silent and cold, unwilling to mingle with anyone. She spent hours locked in her room reading about the dark arts, which she and Temi had so often done together, now alone. For months she searched for a spell that would bring her sister back, but eventually gave up.

It wasn't until Athene's 11th birthday that she began to be herself again (to a degree), though while she no longer hid herself or remained silent around others, she refused to allow herself to become close to anyone, and became rude and bad tempered.

When she received the letter from Hogwarts, she decided on a new beginning. She was going to fulfill the dream she and her sister had always had, and become the greatest Dark Witch there ever was.

Family History

1960s
In 1960 Loki and Olive Perthro were born twins in Greece to Samuel Perthro and Athene Parkinson.
In 1969 the Perthro family moved to England.

1970s
In 1971 Loki and Olive were both sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts England.
in 1978 Lokie and Olive both graduated from Hogwarts England.

1980s
In 1982 Loki (22) married Liesl Dotterweich (21). It was a marriage for convenience rather than love; Loki was the only Perthro heir, and needed to marry into a decent family.
In 1983 they had their first child, a son, and named him Leonardo.
In 1984 they had their first and only daughter, and named her Julie.

1990s
In 1990 they had their second son, Thanatos, who was the only child named by Loki.
In 1993 Liesl, after years of being abused by Loki, went insane.
In 1993 Leonardo was sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts England.
In 1994 Julie was sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts England.
In 1995 Liesl was sent to Azkaban for life for using the Killing Curse on a muggle, and torturing many more.
