It was only five in the morning when Hayley decided to wake up. She walked toward the mirror, looking at herself in it and saw her messy hair in a disgust. She hated seeing herself imperfect, she wanted to be flawless and she was obsessed with it. The girl quickly brushed her hair before walking to the shower and dried herself right after that. The Slytherin uniform was hung on the hanger, the girl took a few steps toward it and wore it. Looking back to the mirror once more, a small smirk appeared on her face as she tied her hair into a pony tail perfectly. With her head held high, she walked down to the common room, finding no one in it, just the way she liked it.

A couple hours had passed and students began to fill the common room. She looked at the coldly and walk away from it. The corridors were pretty deserted and she wasn't sure why. Usually students were like a group of panicked chinchilla, running around everywhere. And surprisingly the great hall was empty, or at least the Slytherin table was empty, just the way Hayley liked it. She walked toward it and sat on it, pushing the empty plate away and took the pumpkin juice and drank it before continuing her reading. Feeling distracted, the girl slam the book down to the table, making a loud noise, causing attention. She pushed the book away and stared at the wall coldly, listening to students talking in cheery voices as if life was perfect. Sadly, her life was far from perfect. The third year Slytherin closed her eyes for several seconds before continuing drinking the pumpkin juice.

Adriana, being the perfectionist she was, always had a set routine. She would wake up at six, wash her face, get ready, all before the next hour. As much as she hated the uniform, it proved to be a time saver in more ways than one. When at home, it took her at least twenty minutes just to pick what to wear around the house. At school, when she had people to impress, it would take even longer she was sure. Now she stood in front of the mirror, fixing her hair into a half-up half-down style, fastening the part that was up with a green ribbon, matching the uniform that she was so reluctant to wear. With a cocky smile, she walked down into the common room and right out. There were too many people in there, though none that she really gave an interest in.

For the first hour or so, not having class, she went to the library. Though that soon proved boring (as expected) and so she had to leave for the sake of her sanity. If there was one thing she couldn't take, it was silence. It wasn't the quiet in itself, it was just that the room to her would become awkward and then she wouldn't be able to handle the confident facade she fought so hard to build up over her first year at school. As much as she loved acting as if she was impenetrable, a powerhouse, she was anything but. Now she walked into the great hall, made her way over to the table, and saw the blonde. She didn't want to intrude on her, but she looked upset for some reason. Frowning a little bit to herself, then returning to the blank face, she went to the girl and raised a brow at her. "Um, is something the matter?" In truth she did care, but she would never admit that.

For once in Hayley's life she decided to ignore those who were noisy, she hated the students in the school and considered them as filthy just because they made too much noises and that they could smile whenever they want to. Actually Hayley was jealous of them but she had no idea that she was and if she did she would never admit it, she was too arrogant to admit it. The manor of hers was always quiet, cold, and unfriendly just the way she liked it but Hogwarts, was different and even though she had been here for three years, she was still not used to it and she would never call this castle a home.

Hearing someone talking to Hayley, the girl glanced to her side finding a black haired girl sitting. `Mind your own business` She thought as she glared at her coldly. The girl seemed familiar and she looked pretty perfect. The blond haired girl continued observing the girl, giving her a cold stare as she moved her eyes up and down, trying to find flaws out of her but she couldn't find any beside telling her to be quiet and mind her own business. There was a chance of Hayley liking this girl. "Yes" She said coldly and sharply, Hayley could never act nicely to new people. She was always cold toward everyone that she knew nothing about. As much as she want to, she couldn't act nicely to them. But right after she knew that they were wealthy and weren't idiots, Hayley would be smiling at them. "Who are you?" What she meant by this question was, was she wealthy, who was her father, and did they have a good reputation. Not that she cared about her, but if she was going to talk to her, she should know who the girl was. But if the girl choose not to tell because she was embarrassed of her own background then Hayley wont even bother to ask for the second time.

Adriana had a neutral opinion when it came to school. Her father had always taught her that school was crucial for a future, but at the same time, she wouldn't really have to work after graduation. The Clarke family was wealthy and most people were aware of it. Their family made their wealth known without a question, often throwing galas at their estates or vacation homes. But Hogwarts soon became tedious, and classes were more of a chore than anything. Plus, she hadn't met any friends that were worthy by her standards. There was Ryan, but he was a muggle-born, so Adriana barely ever openly associated with him. In truth she did have feelings for Ryan, but it was just unthinkable to her to actually make progress with someone that wasn't as pure as she.

She looked back at the girl, an eyebrow raised. She looked older, and by any right, prettier than Adriana was. That meant competition. The Spanish girl pulled a fuzz out of her hair and looked directly in her eyes, confidence now part of the facade that she pulled off so well, "Adriana Clarke, daughter of James Clarke?" Now Adriana was never quite clear on what her father did for a living, though it was clear now that she was older and less sheltered. The man was in fact a death eater, and probably expected Adriana to follow in his footsteps when the time was right. In truth, she was such a daddy's little girl that she would probably join the dark forces without a question if her father asked that of her. "Who are you and why do you look so sulky?" The tone of her voice changed, suddenly formal and rigid, not exactly cold, but at the same time, it didn't say 'We should totally be friends.' Connections were important, and she had to start early to make the right ones. And since they were both Syltherins, she knew that the girl before her was probably thinking something along the lines of that, though she didn't know to what extent.
