Yuelia liked to take Thanatos up to the Owlery. Sure, he was a raven and the other birds were owls, but there was a part of her that hoped that he'd build some sort of friendships by exposure. Maybe the same would work for her, she wondered. She was odd, certainly, but she wanted to try and be a little more...normal. Not so much that she would give up on the things where she excelled, but so that she wasn't seen as childish. Fit in more with the people of her age group. Despite that, here she was doing the presumably not normal thing of seeing if owls were capable of learning tricks. "Do you think owls can speak like ravens do?" Yuelia asked, turning to Ethan with a tilt of her head. Thanatos answered her with a croaked 'no', but she didn't pay as much attention to him as she was more curious about Ethan's knowledge of birds. That still felt more 'normal' than her interests.

Ethan hadn't been sending nearly as many letters this semester as he had in the past. His mom still wasn't writing him and Ernie and Zelda were probably too busy to write back now they had a wedding to plan. But he still made frequent trips to the owlery to visit Cosmo and give him treats. Still, it had been a while and his owl was being stubborn and ignoring him. He turned to Yuelia and flinched when Cosmo took that as an opportunity to land on his head with his sharp talons. Ethan was mostly used to it but he knew he looked ridiculous. "I don't think so." he answered. Unless there was a magical variety that he didn't know about. But considering he spent so much time around an owl shop he was certain he would have hard of of it if it existed at all. "Sometimes they can be mistaken for people screaming though." he added.
