Simon didn't like the beginning of term much, it usually involved waiting around a lot and doing reading prep, which while useful for when he then eventually had to attend classes, didn't fill enough of his day. Perhaps that girl from the first night had been right? Perhaps he needed to expand himself beyond just school work. There were clubs that he could go visit, and that's what he was planning on doing now. He was already in the brotherhood, and though that didn't do much it was still something in the event that they did anything. He had found out from his sister some of the other things he could do, though of course he definitely wasn't interesting in what she did with the monthly, but maybe arts were a better thing, it wasn't a club but he could at the very least spend time in such a room without needing to study. It would have things he could do. So, Simon was walking into that room now. The problem was, Simon had never played any instruments before, nor had he been good at art. His work was almost entirely academic, so why would he bother with anything else. He wondered about the room, picked up paint and brushes, eventually just realising how dumb it was. The part veela hadn't liked art in muggle school why on earth would he like it here. But this didn't help his dilemma, what to do with his time. Perhaps he just had to give it a shot. So, he grabbed some paper and a pencil and began trying to draw, sitting himself down and focusing. Art was dumb, but he had nothing else to do.

The school was not exactly what Neven expected. The boy's mother came here, was prefect, lost it, and ended up pregnant in her sixth year, had his older sister by the time she was a seventh year. It was a little on the sad side, but years later, he came along. Neven never liked Luciano anyway, so he was well out of the picture by the time he was born anyway. Neven shook his head as he walked toward the courtyard. He figured that there was at least one place that he could explore and maybe find something interesting. Neven walked into the room and found another first year within the room. Neven looked around the room and found some instruments. The Slytherin walked over to an instrument, and looked at it curiously. Muggle things, how hilarious. The instrument, known as a flute which was not known to him, slipped out of his fingers and dropped onto the floor with a clang. Neven flinched, turning toward the boy that was writing and said, "Sorry about that." This place was a little strange, and he did hope that he didn't disturb the other boy. His mother might have been a little prejudice, but Neven kept an open mind.
