Desdemona Romanes was far beyond relieved that she was off work for the night. She adored being an Auror but there were just times when she wondered how long she was going to be able to do this tasking job for. Being a former Healer still needed to be completely cut from her system because it sometimes got in the way of her morals of being an Auror. Desdemona hated the Death Eaters. But she did not like fighting them. If she could she'd just lock them all up for their own safety and for the safety of others. But those people had a knack for making bigger messes than there ever needed to be. Violence was their method of escape and it always made things a lot harder than it needed to be. Today she ended up going on a mission with several other Aurors to track down and capture a couple of rogue criminals, all supposedly Death Eaters. It was a tough mission too, especially for Desdemona because it was her first mission where she actually assisted with a capture. Other missions she had before just involved guarding things and keeping a look out for suspicious things and people. But she had been an Auror long enough to where she was now able to help with captures. And it was a very rough business because these people were stupid to the point where they'd rather bring harm to anyone in sight than just go peacefully. It really shocked her. It had even almost reminded her of her husband and how much he struggled when they came to get him. Luckily they had chosen a time when he wasn't out and about. He was arrested inside his own home, and even though he destroyed part of it, nothing was too badly broken except for Desdemona's own heart. She was the one that turned him in after all. But who could blame her. The Death Eaters scared her and she hated how they were so intolerant of everything that wasn't like them and their ways. Plus he mistreated her so much. She had every right to tell them where he was. If only she had spotted the signs sooner she could have prevented her heart from taking such a brutal blow. After all, Desdemona thought she was in love with him. It the end it appears that she knew nothing about how she felt.
After the mission she and Amauri promised to meet up at his house. She supposed that they were, friends now or something but they certainly acted like they were. He really needed some friends too so Desdemona figured that it was a good thing that he had come out of his shell just a little. Staring down at the little silver key within her small hands, the female Auror smiled to herself. He had given her the key but she wasn't really sure why he would do that since he was supposed to be home around this time anyways. Finally she was able to stop walking down the dirt road, Amauri's home seemed just like something he would want to live in as well. It was nice and secluded and simple, which was cute as could be to the Auror. Desdemona opened the gate and carefully stepped her way over to the door where she knocked a few times. No one answered. But Desdemona tried again. By the time ten minute's had slowly passed she began to grow a little worried and decided to make use of the key he gave her. She unlocked the door and stepped inside, closing the door behind her softly. "Amauri? Are you home?" She called out as she turned on the light. Even the living room looked a little cozy. There was no sound other than her footsteps. Maybe he wasn't home? Desdemona glanced at the clock worriedly as she tried to figure out what time it was. It was getting late so where was Amauri? He was late getting home. 'I guess I'll just wait for him.' She sighed to herself and walked over to the couch. Waiting was too much for her at times but since she was a little worried about Amauri she'd stay to see what was up. Her thin body sat down quietly.
