Irene Finch stood in the front of the room, her ministry robes neatly pressed and hair in a perfect bun, waiting for the students to arrive. The woman folded her arms across her chest, her blue eyes looking towards the door as she waited for it to open. Before the end of the lesson, she hoped that all of the students would succeed in apparating directly to their target, especially since this would be the last practice they would have before the exam took place at the end of the semester. Some of them had a lot of work to do.

Gesturing for the students to gather close, Irene spoke. "Today, we will resume practicing" she began, her face growing more serious, her icy blue eyes staring at the students as she spoke. "I am hopeful that those of you who weren't able to apparate last week will do so this week. The next time we meet will be your exam and you will only get one shot to succeed or fail. Your test will require you to be accurate when you apparate, so today, I'd like everyone to line up beside me." Irene gestured for the students to begin lining up.

By now, she knew that the students must know the three D's, so she didn't feel it was worth repeating. If they didn't know by now...she figured they might as well have not shown up. "Alright...I'd like you all to attempt apparating from this end of the Great Hall to that end" she said, pointing towards the doors of the Great Hall.

"The X marks the spot" she added, knowing that if they really looked over to the other end, they would notice an X etched onto the floor with magic. Glancing at all the students beside her, she hoped there would be no splinchings today. "You can begin whenever you're ready" she said to the student who was first in line.

You can practice attempting to apparate one by one.

The last apparation lesson before the exam. He was nervous as he could be. Tybalt wasn't sure what this would bring him. He'd managed to apparate in the last lesson, so hopefully he'd just be able to get a ton more practice of it. He hoped that it wouldn't go badly. He didn't like the idea of splinching himself, and so he had been annoyed that there was no way of practicing other than during the lesson. It didn't matter, soon he would be able to sit the exam and then he'd be able to apparate everywhere. He was looking forward to that point. He was ready for that lesson. He'd been practicing quidditch in the morning. He loved the sport, and he loved flying, so it was just a good way to spend the time before the lesson. Then all it took was heading back to the dorm to dump all of his things and getting changed into cleaner clothes, before heading to the great hall. He was looking forward to being able to do this. He was looking forward to the exams all being over, and being able to enjoy the break. Before he obviously had to come back and do that all important year.

Tybalt was stood in the hall with the rest of the students taking this class. He was waiting to see what they'd be doing. It didn't need much more surely, just additional practice. But, it quickly became clear that they'd maybe just be trying to go further. Maybe that meant that as soon as you went further you were just able to do it. Tybalt reminded himself of the three D's. He couldn't wait to get started. But, it was apparently each person has to take a turn, and it was one by one. Which wasn't great, but he was really looking for to it. He got in the queue and waited. Watching, until eventually he found himself at the front, and it was his turn. He looked at the X at the opposite end of the hall. He imagined it in his mind, imagined him there in his mind. He concentrated on being able to get there. Of getting there, then he felt the pull, and continued to concentrating and then found himself at the other end of the hall, stood on the X. Tybalt broke into a smile and then moved out the way for the next person. Once everyone was done, they were allowed to leave. Ty left feeling great. In a great mood.
