At my 10th birthday my parents thought i should know, so sent C&T away and told me.

"Can't be? No one else is?" but im pleased i am

Anya was adopted, and they were told when they adopted her (Chelsea and Thomas are also adopted and blood-related to Anya)

Why the dislike to Gryffindor???
Because she belives in the sterotypical griffindor where anyone in there is "perfect" and she couldn't stand being "perfect" and "at the top"
