Poppy was starting to get tired. She somehow managed to forget how exhausting delivering roses was every time until her feet ached and she felt like she needed to nap for the rest of the week. She needed to push on to finish her deliveries, but sitting on a bench in the entrance hall seemed like a harmless enough break. Her eyes were starting to feel heavy when she spotted the next person on her list. It felt like a stroke of luck and she quickly scrambled to her feet. "Brooke!" she called out and hoped the Slytherin would hear her. She didn't know Sydney's sister very well but she could at least recognized her in a crowd. "You have a rose!" she announced a bit breathlessly and handed it over to the younger girl. @Brooke Townsend

Brooke was sure no one noticed or cared that she hadn't offered to sign up to help with rose deliveries this year but with the way her OWL classes were going right now she simply couldn't spare the brain space for it this year.

She was in a hurry when she heard someone calling her name, pleasantly surprised to see Poppy Perkins apparently had a rose for her. "Oh how nice. Thank you," she said, stepping aside so Poppy (and her rose) didn't get trampled by anyone else crossing the hall.

Poppy was a little breathless after jogging a bit to catch up with the Slytherin. But she was also grateful to get her blood pumping again. Hopefully could find a second wind to get through the rest of her deliveries. "You're welcome." she said with a smile and handed over the yellow rose. "Hope you're having a good Valentine's day." she said sincerely. "And here's your note."

Happy Valentine's Day!

Ivy

Brooke took the rose with a nod of thanks, looking over the note from Ivy. She was pretty sure it was the same as last year, but Brooke figured Ivy maybe wasn't one for many words. "Thank you, you as well," she said with a quick smile to Poppy. She didn't know the prefect very well, though Brooke had always thought she seemed a little less put together than some of the older students or prefects she knew but perhaps Ravenclaws were just like that more than other houses. She was certainly a better prefect that Liusaidh anyway. "Try not to over do it," she added now that Poppy had caught her breath, giving her a knowing smile.

"Thanks." Poppy said with a friendly laugh. She was almost caught off guard by just how friendly Brooke was compared to her sister. Poppy had always had a healthy respect for Sydney but did tend to keep her distance from the older girl, and she had expected her sister to be more of the same. She laughed again and Brooke's concern. "Hard not to." she said with a smile. "But I'm almost done so I can rest soon, don't worry." she added.
