As Gaston made his way through the grounds of Beauxbatons a soft smile graced his features. It was now Autumn time and Gaston didn't have any favorite season really but there was certain parts to each one that he particularly enjoyed. As he sat under one of the large oak trees Gaston cast his head skywards as he observed the leaves on the tree. The variety of colors that he could see was almost awe inspiring. Gaston wasn't exactly one of these big nature freaks but he learned to appreciate the smaller things in life as he grew up. Unlike more of his class mates he didn't have a lot of luxuries in his life, but what he did have - he was more than happy with.

Strolling around the grounds she had every intention of clearing her head before another class in all French. She knew the subject well enough and could speak it fluently but seriously did people have to speak it all the time. Every time any one came near her they automatically spoke it without even bothering to find out if she were capable of understanding the language or not. For her own amusement she had so far played dumb, as if she seriously had not one iota of French. It made for some highly interesting meal times that was for sure. The students from Beauxbatons now spoke around her saying what they pleased almost happy in the knowledge that they could say what they wanted.

For all the niceness they projected to peoples faces, the other side of the coin was startling. Many of the girls were obnoxious and rude and from what she could gather, the other school Hogwarts were having similar problems. Moko spoke even less to those particular students but that was her own personal business. As she strolled about clad only in
jeans, sweater, scarf, hat and her old boots, Moko hoped to simply have a peaceful stroll. One more blast of the French accent or it's language might simply throw her over the edge of reason considerably.

Gaston sat up as he was finding the ground much to uncomfortable to lie the full length of his 6'3" body on. As he sat up he knocked the tree slightly a few of the brown and blood red leaves fell around him. Smiling softly he took a few in his hands enjoying the crinkling noise they made. He was glad that one of his favourite classes was Herbology so he could appreciate the nature around him more than others.

As he absent-mindedly start to tear a few of the leaves into tiny pieces on his lap he looked out at the vast grounds. The place had become a lot busier as of late and although he couldn't quite appreciate the beautiful grounds now as much as he had done in the past he was happy to see new faces here at Beauxbatons. Gaston may not have a lot of friends but he was always happy to meet new people, and the few he had met from the visiting schools seemed nice enough.

As he looked out at the grounds he could see one of the few visiting students walking close by him he called out, "Hello." Giving her a small wave. It wasn't him intention to have the girl stop and make conversation with him, but it was just in his nature to say a friendly hello to people as they passed him.

She hummed quietly to herself admiring the beauty of the school at this time of year. Her own school would have been naked of leaves by now and so bitterly cold that a warm coat would have been essential already. As it was she felt a freedom in wearing only her grey sweater. As she passed by some trees all of different hues of golds, reds and browns she heard someone greet her. Presuming it had to be her considering no one else was close by. Moko glanced over at the boy if he could even be called that. Even as he sat on the ground she knew he was tall. This was possibly the first person who had greeted her in English and not in French and instantly she was grateful for that much.

It was not Moko's way to be overly friendly at any rate but she was a long way from home and her friends and craving any bit of conversation at this point she smiled at him.
"Hello" her own greeting was executed with a wave similar to his own. It took her a few moments to decide whether or not to actually approach him but he had after all instigated the first greeting, so her company might not seem so offensive to him. With slow yet deliberate steps she walked the few steps over to where he sat.
"May I join you?" her hands stuffed deep within her jeans pockets, she would walk on at the first indication that he would prefer her not too.

After Gaston had greeted the girl passing by he turned his head down to his lap where there was a mixture of small brown and blood orange pieces of leaves laying there. Picking each of pieces up in his hand he pulled them into the palm of his hand so there were in a neat little pile, simple yet beautiful. Hearing an unfamiliar voice greet him he looked up to see the girl was still there and approaching him. Smiling up at the girl he noticed just how tall she was. Gaston himself was quite tall but then again his family were all very tall but about this age and height they normally stopped, which Gaston was happy about. He didn't mind being tall but it did cause a number of people to poke fun at him and meaning he would be the punchline in many of his classmates jokes.

He had gotten used to the odd joke here and there over his years at Beauxbatons and learned to just grin and bear it, within a number of months he would be graduated and away from this place and the bullies that reside within it's walls. "Certainly." Gaston said with a grin as he moved slightly so as to make room for the girl. "Gaston Dubois." he said to the girl so he could fully introduce himself. As he stuck his hand out he realised he still had the pile of torn up leaves in his palm, dropping them to the ground he laughed a little awkwardly and said, "Sorry about that." before continuing to stick his hand out.

She was somewhat glad he appeared to be one of the more friendly natives, she knew him to be so as he attended some of the same classes as she and wore a Beauxbatons uniform and not a Durmstrang or Hogwarts when he did. Feeling slightly awkward now she watched as he moved over for her, Moko sat down crossing her legs akimbo as she did so. Repeating his name in her head so she would not forget it so quickly, she extended her own hand to meet his when she saw the torn leaves cluttering it. She smiled then at him this time taking his hand in hers when he extended it once more. Her hand was soft and smooth but strong, the long fingers curled about his own as she shook his hand slowly before finally releasing it.

Her hands began to pick up some of the dead leaves as well, as if they needed something to do. Anything to do really.
"It's nice to meet you Gaston, I am Morrigan but everyone calls me Moko" she wondered why he had not put his name forward the day of the naming ceremony. Certain she would have remembered him if he had. This certainty bothered her a little but she shook it off swiftly. He was just a boy, an extremely good looking boy and the friendliest one she had met yet but Moko didn't need any thing else in her complicated life at that moment, though a friend was always a necessity. She glanced up at him, her chocolate brown eyes seemed to smile as she did so.
"Are you from near by? Your home I mean" rolling her eyes slightly she glanced down at the leaves in her hands noticing she had crumbled hers as he had done, "guess it's catching" she chuckled lightly.

As Moko placed her hand in his own Gaston smiled to himself. He could tell that this girl was strong. To some it may seem like a strange thing for some people to think but Gaston had been so used to the girls at Beauxbatons and they were, well the majority, typical 'girly girls.' So knowing a girl who seemed strong and sure of herself was a nice change. Having come from a family that were all hard working so they could have what the had today, Gaston was always used to looking after himself and his younger siblings. So when he came to Beauxbatons, seeing all of the rich, snobby girls who never worked a day in their lives he wasn't all too happy.

"Morrigan! Such an unique name." He pondered, never hearing such a name before. Having only met the girl Gaston knew he had seen her somewhere. Of course. The tournament His memory went back to the night of the Goblet Ceremony where she had been chosen as the Champion Durmstrang. The fact that Gaston could sense that Moko was a strong person, he could tell that it made sense that she was chosen by the Goblet to be the Champion. With his attention still on the pieces of shredded leaves he lifted his head once again as she addressed him again. "Near enough I suppose. I'm from Dinan in Brittany." he informed him. He occasionally missed home during the school term, it was such a lovely place, but Beauxbatons had been home for his past 7 years. Laughing as Moko had taken to fiddling with the leaves he returned her question. "And yourself?" he asked in attempt to keep up conversation.

She knew her name was unique enough, it was a very old Celtic name more especially the Irish goddess of War. Even her middle name Kolina meant 'victory for the people'. Her parents wanted a strong minded, able bodied child and had always believed that a strong name aided in a child's future. Of course they had also instilled in her many stories of famous warriors and battles both magical and muggle alike. As if they were preparing her from the very offset to be some kind of soldier. The thought now made her smile, knowing there was only one job she was supposed to do when she finished school. She was the last Craven and there had always been a craven in the ministry fighting vampires and werewolves and other hideous beastly creatures.

"I know Brittany but I don't think I know Dinan. Brittany itself is beautiful" she smiled at him, feeling comfortable enough in his company to simply relax against the tree as she brushed the dried leaves from her hands, "I'm originally from Yorkshire in England but I had to move the end of last year to New Zealand. It's alright I suppose but the drastic change in weather and the difference in the seasons throws me a bit. There right now it would be spring time whereas for us here, it's autumn nearly winter. Completely bizarre."

She grinned at him and found she was glad he hadn't mentioned the tournament. Everyone wanted to talk about it as soon as they began to talk too her and quite frankly she seriously didn't want to speak about it at all. She did enough of that back in the Durmstrang boat.
"Have you attended Beauxbatons since first year?"She gathered her legs up to her now, resting her cheek on her knees as she turned her face to look at him.

Gaston nodded knowingly with a smile on his face when Moko said she didn't know Dinan, very few people knew of it. It was a small town, but like the rest of Brittany it was soaked in history and beautiful scenery. Plus he lived in the countryside, a small Wizarding centre, hidden well away from the muggle town itself. Not that he or his family had anything against muggles, he was friends with quite a number of the locals but being around his own people made certain things a lot easier.

Taking lead from Moko he relaxed against the tree again, finding it more comfortable than sitting up straight all the time. As he relaxed himself he kept his eyes locked on Moko as she talked about where she was from. He was surprised and a bit confused that she attended Durmstrang yet she grew up in England and now lived in New Zealand, surely she would attend Hogwarts. Although seemingly not. When she mentioned the weather and seasons in New Zealand, Gaston laughed at how silly it sounded. "That is bizarre. I've never been to New Zealand before but it's definitely on my list after I Graduate." he informed her. Just like many students, once he graduated he intended on travelling a bit before finding a job and other things that adults did. Nodding his head at he question he replied, "I have indeed. And you? Always been attending Durmstrang?"

As she gazed at him she could not help but look more closely considering the trunk of the tree was only so wide and they were sitting pretty close. Even more so when he too leaned back to rest against it. He was handsome but not in a devastating sort of way, the way many of the boys around this school considered themselves to be and he wasn't or so she had not noticed as yet, all up in himself the way so many of the Durmstrang boys were.
"On your list? As in countries you would like to travel?" she enquired of him, how many of her own friends back at her academy wanted to do the same thing.

Morrigan on the other hand was going straight into the ministry, there was a 'war' on so her parents had always informed her and every one was needed, every able bodied person had to be held accountable if they did not play their part. She had her application form already to fill out for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, as soon as she graduated it would be filled out and sent off.

She had not turned away from him once, her gaze at not faltered, had not drifted off to look at something else but rather stayed fixed on him.
"Yes, I could have moved to Hogwarts in New Zealand for my final two years but I presented a thorough list of pro's and cons against my moving in such an important time in my scholastic career. One of my guardians was on the fence while the other took my side completely. So I got to stay" only then did she finally allow her eyes to drift downwards along the length of his arms to his hands.

Moving a hand to her side she played with a leave on the grass as her eyes roved back up to his face again. She blushed slightly as she realized she had quite blatantly been checking the guy out. Needing a distraction fast in case he had noticed she said the first thing she could think of.
"Are you dating?" her eyes widened as did her mouth, turning her head to look the other way she grimaced at her stupidity before turning back to him with a sheepish smile, "I meant ... that is, do many of the students here date within the school?"
Oh she knew it was ridiculously lame but hopefully he would not think anything of it.

My apologises

Gaston kept his eyes on the Durmstrang, finding her more interesting in the small conversation they have had so far than most of the girls here at Beauxbatons. They all seemed far too interested in their looks and whatnot to make a decent conversation half of the time. Nodding once more in responce to her question he added, "Very original huh?" he said with saracasim in his voice. "But I haven't been out of France in my life and it's meant to be a once in a life time opportunity." he further explained. He had been saving for the trip for sometime now, with some help from his family. Although he knew he would need some sort of job to help finance other parts of his holiday as he hadn't saved half as much as he needed. "What are your plans after Graduation?" he enquired lightly, becoming more and more interested with Moko.

Gaston kept his attention focused on Moko as she spoke, surprised at how driven she sounded for someone so young. Sure they were around the same age and he too was driven but to meet someone with the same determination was a welcome breath of fresh air. Nodding he said, "Well it seems you put a lot of thought into it. Was it the right choice in the end?" he asked, figuring it must have been. Gaston frowned his eyebrows as Moko moved her eyes back to the ground and started playing with the leaves again. Had he said something? He didn't know girls at all so he couldn't tell if he did anything wrong or not. Noticing the slight blush in her cheeks he put it down to the slight chill in the air but her next question surprisd him slightly. "Um. A lot of people seem to be dating but not me. No one has caught my interest quite enough yet." he said with a smile. "So do you have someone waiting for you back at Durmstrang?" he asked, genually interested.

She could not help but look up at him and smile.
"It may not be original idea but every trip is different, I am sure you will make it original" Moko had been enough places for a while and was in no rush to see too much of the world just yet. Her family had been from England but they had traveled extensively each vacation to show her parts of the world where they could teach her about different magical cultures and practices. All supposed to expand her mind for when she went to work along side them at the ministry but she would not be doing that now. At least not working alongside them but they would be with her, always with her.

When she looked at him again her gaze lingered on his mouth for a moment, perhaps a moment too long but he was ridiculously handsome and interesting compared to so many around her own age. It had been a while now since she had any affection and teenage hormones being what they were she found herself imagining kissing those full lips of his. Blinking furiously to get her mind focused on answering his question she pushed some hair back from her face.

"I am applying for the ministry, Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures to be exact. I am the last of my family and there has been a member in that department for basically forever really. I don't feel obligated to my parents memory or anything, I want to join the department. I've worked towards it all my life" she attempted now to keep her eyes averted from his face, but being the strong minded and extremely strong willed person she was as soon as Moko wanted something, there was usually no stopping her until she got it. So she eventually allowed her gaze to drift back to him.

So he wasn't dating, no one had caught his interest. Did that also include her? Her deep brown eyes scrutinized him.
"No one is waiting for me in Durmstrang" she told him truthfully, no one was waiting for her anywhere. Alex did not want her and made that abundantly clear. It had taken her a long time to get over him and she was quite certain she had. What would it take to make sure? Her gaze flitted to his mouth once more before moving back to his eyes. They were close enough to simply lean forward and kiss one another but they had just met, the thought was a ludicrous one. With a small sigh she looked away, attempting to keep her wayward hormones under check.

"So what piques your interest then?" surely that was an innocent enough question to ask him.

Gaston appreciated Moko's words, he hoped it would be a great trip and he definitely intended on making it his own, he he was going to do that was still a mystery to him but he would figure it out along the way. He let his casual, light smile cross his lips one more time as she lifted her gaze again, he hoped he wasn't boring her but he wouldn't mind if she simply just wanted to walk away, Gaston wasn't one to hold any girls interest for too long. He was curious as to why she was simply staring at him but opted for not saying anything in fear of offending or embarrassing her in any shape of form.

When Moko talked about her future he was mildly surprised and let a light chuckle escape his lips. It seemed the two were finding more in common than he had first imagined. Although he didn't intend on going to work in the Ministry right away, he was going to have his trip first. "Any particular reason for that Department?" he asked curiously. He guessed his reasoning would be different but to him his reason was as good as any.

When Moko told him that there was no one waiting for her back at Durmstrang he felt a strange sense of relieve but he was unsure as to why, but quickly shook the idea away as she asked him a question. Gaston had never really thought about what he looked for in someone to be an interest for him, but after a few seconds of thinking he knew exactly what to say. With the perfect example in front of him it wasn't too hard. "Well take you for example. Someone who knows what they want in life and isn't afraid to go for it; someone who isn't so caught up in their hair and make up that they can hold an interesting conversation for more than a few seconds before it has to revolve around themselves and how they look; someone smart, strong minded..." he stopped, realising his words might embarrass Moko or worse, upset her - he couldn't really tell. "Yeah, that's just some of things that would be of interest to me. What about you?" he asked quickly, trying to get the spotlight off of him.

She noticed that he had the gentlest of smiles, he was not imposing either. Sitting here talking to him she felt under no pressure to be anything other than who she was. She did not have to feel bad about the choices she was making with her life or that she had made. It was comforting to sit here with him and again she found herself smiling because of him. Not for a moment had she considered that she might actually find a friend here at Beauxbatons Academy. She had steeled herself up for the tournament and against any lingering feelings she had for Alex Cullen but that was all. Moko certainly didn't think she would be enjoying a teenage boy's company again so soon after the tsunami in her life that had been Alex.

"Yes, a very good reason" she told him, becoming suddenly very animated as a light seemed to go on behind her eyes. Turning so that she was now leaning her shoulder against the tree but looking directly at him, her smile was absolutely dazzling as she began to speak. Her hands moved in unison as if punctuating her words.

"As far as I can remember from all the old family stories and legends, one of my ancestors was bitten by a vampire while two of his brothers were killed. He became deranged of course and suffered greatly but try as he might to stop himself from feeding on humans he knew it was only a matter of time and he could not and would not live with himself if he ever did. He made the surviving members of the Craven family take an oath that they were to hunt down and kill every magical beast that roamed the earth and then he begged them to take his life, so he could finally find peace. They did kill him and they did go on to vanquish vampires and werewolves and other nasty magical creatures that feed on humans muggle or magical. When the Ministry of Magic was formed, they helped to organize the department that's known today as the regulation and control of magical creatures and ever since then there has always been a member of my family working there".

Moko beamed at him, knowing full well the dangers that came with trying to kill a werewolf or vampire but still prepared to do the job all the same. She looked at him waiting for him to say something and hoping she hadn't frightened him off with all her talk of killing and beasts. Not many people could handle it to be honest and she smiled realizing this was something she had never actually talked about with Alex.

Gaston spoke about what interested him in girls and when he used her as an example she nearly collapsed completely but her ego would not let her do anything foolish of course and recognized that he was simply using her as a sounding board to illustrate his point.
"Me? wow, I don't think I've ever really thought about it. I seem to fall for the tall dark and handsome types" she chuckled before realizing that was exactly what Gaston was. Hastily she tried to redeem the conversation by continuing, "I guess I never fall for the run of the mill types. Confidence in their abilities and themselves, intelligent, able to hold a decent conversation as well, versatile and of course ... he has to be keenly interested in me otherwise what's the point" she teased, making light of the situation. Now that she was facing him the compulsion to reach across and touch his hair was strong, so once again she reached for another leave on the grass between them. Hoping this would distract her wayward thoughts a bit longer.

"Wow!" Was all Gaston could really say when Moko finished telling him why she had wanted to work in the regulation and control of magical creatures department. She continued to amaze Gaston as to how driven she was, it was definitely a great change from the rest of the girls he knew. Then again it began to worry Gaston, sure he knew what he wanted to do but his reasoning as to why was so dull compared to Moko's reasoning. She had a lot of history in that department whereas Gaston would be the first to work there, as far as he knew anyway. "Here's me wanting to work there because I love animals." he gave a lame laugh. "Well not just that, animals have always intrigued me, muggle and magical alike. It's one of my biggest passions." he added.

Gaston could feel his heart racing as he realised what he had said to Moko, he was pretty much just describing her as his ideal woman. Granted, it was the truth but he had just met the girl and he couldn't quite tell how she would take it. Girls like to be complimented right? Well that's all he was doing, although he had said how he liked a girl that didn't care too much about her hair and make up, maybe she would take that the wrong way? By no means did he think that she wasn't pretty, she was very beautiful but...Wait! Just shut up and listen to the girl speak! he shouted at himself, as he realised Moko was talking again. It was one of his biggest flaws, he had a tendency to over think things at times.

In turn, Gaston listened to Moko's list of requirements for the person of her dreams. The start of her list sounded somewhat typical but the rest of the list redeemed herself in Gaston's eyes. Gaston chuckled lightly at her last point, "Keen interest is a definite for me too." he said jokingly. "Well apart from the tall, dark and handsome types, it seems we are reading of the same list." he observed, somewhat amused by the fact. "Too bad, those kinds of people are a rare breed." he said with a sigh.

When he spoke she could not help the smile that graced her features.
"You want to work in the same department?" she turned herself fully around to face him now, eager to keep talking with him. So interested in the conversation was she that she was completely unaware how much more closely they were now seated due to this slight move of hers. No longer leaning against the tree but just apart from it so she could see his face completely as they conversed. His reasoning was completely different to her own and she listened closely.
"And you are going to take a year out travelling before applying to do something you are passionate about?" always one to speak her mind she always ended up throwing etiquette out the window. Simply knowing and believing that if she were passionate about something she went after it full on, completely, no holds barred.
"Which country will you apply too, France?" she was curious now, she herself would be applying to the ministry in New Zealand for that was where her guardians lived and she was slowly making a home there for herself. Perhaps she would transfer to a different countries ministry when she was older but for now she was more than content with her choice. As she spoke a single reddish leave fluttered down from the tree, practically the last one left and settled near the top of his hair. Without thinking it through, Moko simply leaned over stretching her slender toned arm up as her long fingers plucked it away. Her fingers absently grazed his cheek as she brought the rougue leaf forward. Settling herself back down again she realized just what she had done.

The fact that they were at that point talking about the type of person that interested them.
"So tall, dark and ... handsome or beautiful does not interest you?" she glanced at the leaf twirling between the tips of her fingers. She was well aware of her own beauty, Moko was intelligent enough to know it but she never played on it. There wasn't any point, looks faded with time whereas brains stayed for much longer. Now though it seemed to bother her that she was tall and dark haired and striking enough to be viewed by any stranger as beautiful but this apparently was not his type. She glanced up at him then and shook her head slightly.
"They are not as rare as you may think" knowing full well she was looking directly at one at that very moment. Unable to tear her brown eyes from his face she allowed the silence to build.

Chuckling lightly as Moko moved her position once again as he made it known that the two shared the same dreams of working the regulation and control of magical creatures department, he matched her movements slightly bringing the two bodies somewhat more closer. Nodding his head he replied, "Yep. Always have, always will probably." he added with a laugh, his smile turning into a grin. At Moko's words Gaston had to think about his reply. A small smirk crossed his lips, he was beginning to like Moko more and more, the fact she spoke her mind was rather intriguing and it challenged Gaston - something he liked. "Sure I'm passionate about it but I feel taking sometime to get used to the outside world, in small steps, will be more beneficial for me." he informed her.

Then again he had no squirms about going head first into the working world, he had always been a worker, but this was completely different and he needed some adjustment room first. At her next question Gaston was stumped, this was something that he had really thought about and was still coming up blank. "France seems like the best option doesn't it? But I think I will wait until I've travelled some more and find the place where I want to settle before I make a definite decision." He told her, thinking it to be the option anyway. He loved France, he grew up there but he had never been outside of it before and for all her knew there may be somewhere he loved even more, but only time would tell.

After he had finished talking he saw Moko stretch her arm up to his head. He frowned his eyebrows as he was wondering what she was doing, not having felt the leave fall on to his head. Watching he remove the leave from his head he felt her soft fingers graze his cheek, his stomach knotting for some reason as she did so. Momentarily confused he quickly forgot about it and went back to their conversation.

When Moko questioned his words he thought for a moment. Laughing lightly as he shook his head. "Far from it in fact. It's just I would never describe a woman by that phrase. It always struck me as something you would say about a man." He felt like kicking himself for appearing stupid in front of Moko, he really must practice his English more. "But in a sense tall, dark and beautiful," he said using Moko's words, "Would definitely be on my list of requirements." he added with a soft smile, "Again, like yourself." Although once he had said it he wished he hadn't, surely his words were making Moko a tad uncomfortable because he sure as hell was becoming a bit uncomfortable. When Moko informed him that the people they both desired were not as rare as they may think he knew she was right, after all he had just described his perfect woman based on Moko, but he had just met the girl - he wasn't going to tell her that. "Then they should come out of hiding don't you think?" he asked with a laugh, hoping to break the obvious tension.

His own body moved as if mirroring her own and though at first this extreme close proximity did not bother her for she was so caught up in their conversation, when eventually talk began to drift around to what interested them both in the other gender she felt herself wanting to lean closer. As if there was some sort of magnetic pull within him that was drawing her there. Her gaze constantly drifted to his mouth as he spoke. So tall, dark and beautiful were on his list of requirements. As he smiled it was her turn to mimic him while still it seemed as if she was being drawn in.
"Again, like yourself."

It was not in any way said tongue in cheek or in some cheezy chat up way, like a gimmick that most teenage boys used to get a girl. She could tell he was being simply honest from the nervous tension that seemed to be filling the air between them. Debating for the briefest moment whether or not it was actually nervous tension or simply hormonal tension, Moko's gaze drifted for a moment between his eyes and his mouth.
"I agree" her voice was almost hushed now, she felt snared trapped so beautifully by his hypnotic French accent, by his words and his smile.
"They should come out". Would dancing up and down in front of him be a clear indication that she was right here in front of him. She smiled knowing in that instant she had a better idea by far.

The distance left between them had not been so great at all, she could feel his breath on her face. And finally breaking across the last space she tilted her head and gently placed her lips against his.

With the closeness between himself and Moko grew more and more, Gaston soon became unaware of his surroundings. He was solely focused on Moko and only Moko. It was such a rare thing to find someone who shared so many of the same things as him, and not just in general but in a partner. Gaston had always kept himself to himself mostly and never really cared about being in a relationship or anything of the sort but after simply talking to Moko for a matter of minutes he became aware of things he never knew he knew.

There was a reason Gaston wasn't the smartest boy in his year, not that he was dumbest either, but here he was sitting in front of a girl who pretty much was the girl of his dreams, yet he had no idea of it. As Moko simply agreed with what with him about their perfect partners he felt his head starting to spin. There was no way this girl sitting in front of him, a girl who until a short while ago was the girl of his dreams, was it? Slowly feeling the last small bit of distance between the two Gaston felt his heart beginning to race. His head was telling him that this shouldn't happen, they were after all relative strangers but there was something else, something that he couldn't describe pushing him forward. Pushing him forward until there was nowhere else to go.

Moving his lips slowly in time with Moko's, Gaston raised his head to Moko. Slowly curling his fingers through her long, brown hair, moving his hand down ever so slightly. Bringing his hand round a bit he cupped his hand on her cheek, slightly bringing her closer to him. He couldn't stop himself, not wanting to let go of her. This was a new sensation for Gaston, never in his 17 years had he felt like this towards anyone else before, but there was something about Moko that he couldn't quite describe but he knew he liked it; a lot!

Prone to the most idiotic of things was not her way at all. She effectually had fallen for two boys in all her seventeen years and though there had been plenty of other offers, Moko had never dated anyone. Hayden had been older than her and a prize well out of her reach, they had become friends but nothing more. Now she classed him as one of her bestfriends and true in a brief moment of madness he had kissed her and she had allowed her hopes to rise but she soon squashed them. He had after all in a night of drunken exuberance conceived a baby with the Durmstrang headmistress. Alex Cullen she had met repeatedly almost always with drink involved somehow, she did wonder if he had a problem with the stuff but as he was out of her life and had wished to do so of his own accord, Moko pushed him now far away to the furthest crevices of it. She knew she had fallen in love with him and he would always be sheltered somewhere in her heart but she did not take kindly to anyone trying to weaken her, to someone breaking her heart and he had done both.

As her lips moved beneath Gaston's she wondered at her own actions but could not fault them. Here before her was someone she could only pull from a story book. Everything she could have hoped for or wanted. Her entire being felt as if it were melting the longer their lips remained in contact, his hand touching her cheek felt heavenly and she could only reciprocate by laying her own hands over his shoulders. This made her own body move closer to his even more but she truly could careless. Just a moment ago they were complete strangers and now they were sharing an intimate moment. She would be lying to herself if she had considered the kiss as the entirety of that intimacy for the manner of their brief conversation had seemed simply a prelude to the inevitable. Slowly breaking the contact though she did not want too, she smiled at him her eyes gazing from his lips to his eyes.

"I don't know what came over me" she chuckled lightly looking for a moment to the grass to their right before looking back at him, "Whatever it was... I'm glad it did."

Gaston was no expert in kissing, actually this was his first, but he knew that it was pretty damn well amazing. He had never experienced such a sensation before, his heart was racing, adrenaline pumping through his body, it was one of the biggest thrills he ever had and he wanted more of it. As she moved her body closer to him he shifted slightly to allow maximum closeness. Never in his 17 years would he have thought he would be doing this, he couldn't deny that he wasn't enjoying it because he was, more so than he ever thought imaginable. The fact that he didn't even know Moko before today was slowly but surely becoming less of an issue to him, he was enjoying himself to even care about it anymore.

Feeling Moko break away he did so too, reluctantly but nonetheless he broke away. Finding his breathing fast than usual he tried to control it before attempting to speak, but he smiled down at the girl who was perfect for him, in every way, shape and form. Never having done this before he was unsure as to what the next move should be, he didn't know what to say or do but he didn't want an awkward silence to form between the two. Breathing a sigh of relief, masked by his own irregular breathing. At her words he couldn't help but chuckle as well, "As am I." he said truthfully, his smile growing wider. "I should say though I don't make a habit of doing...this. But there's something you Moko, something different than everyone else...in a good way." he added with a wink.

As she sat there bewildered by her actions, Gaston spoke in that adorable French accent of his. She could seriously have melted at that, her hand instantly lifted to touch his chin a light stubble was beginning to form. The pains of male adulthood, oh how easy they had it she mused in between the words he spoke to her. As he finished she moved her body deliberately until she had her back now facing him, then as if they had been together for the longest time she leaned back against him with ease and comfort. Reaching across with her hands she picked up his own and wrapped them about her waist, her own hands stayed with them as her head leaned back against his shoulder.

"I don't make a habit of this either, though it looks as if I'm a dab hand at it" she chuckled lightly enjoying the feeling of safety that emanated from him like a familiar blanket.
"I like this... it's strange but I feel as if I've known you all my life" she told him, her heart felt content not at war with itself as it often did when thoughts of Alex reached in and grabbed hold.
Moko felt as if she were putting on a favorite jumper, or listening to her most favorite band. Everything about him felt familiar and yet so strange to her at the same time. It was possibly a bizarre thing to ask considering they didn't know one another but considering they had just shared an intimate moment and were now effectively wrapped up in one another, she thought it was alright to ask.
"You know I'm the Durmstrang champion don't you?" she hadn't wanted to bring that part up but it was leading somewhere and she was getting there slowly but surely, "Well the Yule ball requires for me to bring someone and ... well, I don't know... that is."

She turned to face him then, it was strange just a few minutes out of his sight and he looked better than she had remembered him. His eyes were piercing, absolutely stunning.
"Would you like to attend it with me?" agains she had not moved nearly far enough as she had turned around to face him and her eyes returned time and again to the lips she had enjoyed kissing so much.

Gaston couldn't help but stare into her glorious deep brown eyes, feeling as though he was looking into her soul. He wanted to know everything about her! As he allowed himself to be moved easily as Moko made herself comfortable, lying back on him, he felt as though he did know everything about her, as if he'd known her all of her life. To be fair, they had gotten to know each other pretty well in the short period of time that they had talked, and he knew that he liked Moko, maybe more than someone should after knowing a person for a short about of time but Gaston wasn't going to mess with fate, because what else could it be that had made the two meet here, today! It had to be fate.

Resting his back against the tree he held Moko softly but with a force that kept her close to him at all times, never wanting to let her go - not after only finding her. Chuckling along lightly with her words, Gaston knew that he didn't care if Moko had done this with every boy she ever knew, he only cared about the here and now, and here and now he was happy, more so than he could ever recall. When she took the words pretty much out of his mouth he kissed the top of her head softly, lingering momentarily to take in her heavenly scent. "I couldn't have put it better myself." he said, as he wrapped her a bit tightly, but not too hard.

Gaston briefly lifted his gaze from Moko and let his eyes scan over the grounds. He had been so caught up in the moment that he had almost forgotten where he was. He was just glad that there was no Prefects or Professor's roaming the grounds at the moment, the last thing he wanted was to get himself and Moko into trouble, especially Moko. As Moko spoke Gaston dropped his gaze on her again, his eyebrows frowned. Of course he knew that she was the Durmstang Champion, having attended the Ceremony. Although he only attended to see who had been chosen, he never would have put his name into the Goblet himself. He was unsure why Moko had brought this up, did she think he was only attracted to her because of the silly title? As he was about to question her about it, the reason for her asking soon became clear. When she asked him if he would attend the Yule Ball with her, Gaston couldn't help but chuckle lightly. "You really aren't like other girls, are you?" he asked, rhetorically. Maybe it was different where she was from, but for him it was customary for the boy to ask the girl to the Ball. Then again, from what he knew of Moko, he knew that she wasn't one for such silly customs. "I would be honoured." He answered, looking down to Moko, kissing her softly once more enjoying the sensation he got as their lips connected.

Moko was of the school that if you didn't help yourself then no one else would do it for you. She went after everything she wanted, worked hard and fought tooth and nail so to her asking a guy to go to a dance was no different. If she didn't ask then she could very well regret it later. He might get asked by someone else or ask someone else out. She didn't think after kissing her in return he would say no but with boys a girl seriously never knew where she stood. She enjoyed being held in his arms, liked the warmth of him around her. Unable to stop her self from laughing she gazed up at him.

"Why would I want to be like everyone else? Now wouldn't that just get boring very fast?" she had never been like any of the other girls she had grown up with either. Had always been some bit taller, or faster or different somehow. It had never bothered her and it still didn't. As their lips connected once more she could not help but smile as they did so. He had said yes, he had said better than yes actually. Breaking apart from the kiss once more she looked at him and grinned.
"Would you prefer to ask me instead? we could pretend the past few minutes never happened at all" her smile was wide, teasing and brilliant. She didn't know what it was about Gaston but she felt like she was walking on air at that moment and didn't want to come down any time soon.

Holding Moko close Gaston happier than he had been in sometime. By no means was he depressed or anything; he loved his life, but with Moko beside him his life seemed a hundred times better and it was all because of her and Gaston knew this. As he thought about how everything had happened, and so quickly too, he wondered what it would it have been like if he had been, for example, already dating someone. Going to Beauxbatons he knew that was pretty much unlikely with non of the girls ever getting his attention in the same was Moko had. Hypothetically though, if hadn't met Moko and gotten to know her, this wouldn't have happened and Gaston knew that it would have been a great lose.

Gaston joined in on Moko's laughing. "That it would!" he agreed. Heck if Moko had been like other girls he probably wouldn't have gotten talking to her like he had. For that he was glad, he liked Moko the way she was and if that meant being different than most other girls, then so be it. Gaston's grin never left his face, he was so happy right now there was no way it was going to leave his features. When Moko asked if he would like to ask her he chuckled softly while shaking his head. "No! I think you did it perfectly. Plus I wouldn't want to erase anytime with you." he told her, his voice was low and soft with his french accent forming round each word that escaped his lips.
